I use it to make protein shakes after the gym. Blends frozen well too!!

Blends perfectly smooth. No lumps. Use everyday. Love it.

a little pricey but it had great reviews so I invested in it.

My son referred to me as he has the largest one and actually presented me with a Best Buy gift card toward the purchase. A bit pricey but worth every penny. Easy to take apart for cleaning too! Love it!

I absolutely love this blender to blend my smoothies. Prior to this purchase I was using a different name brand however after using this one I will never go back.

Blender serves the purpose but not very powerful. I can see hard small pieces of apple and carrot in smoothies. I found it not as good compared to the price I paid.

The quality of the Vitamix S50 seems to be very good and it has a lot of power. We have had a LOT of trouble with food not feeding down into the blades. We load the food as directed in the manual and often times we end up having to take the top off and push the food down into the blades. The machine cannot handle whole frozen strawberries. I don't recommend this blender for smoothies at all...and really just don't recommend the blender. We got better results from our Nutribullet.

This thing is quite .. mixes well. Definitely get what you pay for.

Does everything great, and it's not as loud as others I've tried.

Blends everything very well. Jar sizes little small and can prepare only two glass of smoothies at a time. Cleaning is little difficult with lot of hiiden corners in the lid and opener.

The blender doesn’t seems to be value for the price I paid, however it’s meeting the purpose for me but doesn’t seems to be so powerful and sturdy.

I chose this Vitamix over the competition and am glad I did. It's a powerful machine that hasn't been stopped by anything I've thrown at it. It blends well and helps me get my protein shakes exactly where I want them ... Nice and smooth. I wish it wasn't as pricey as it is but it's definitely a high quality product.

okay so this item is very expensive. If your not going to be using it daily or for very heavy jobs like as an ice crusher I would not buy it. However I drink smoothies all the time and it was needed. I am happy with it but I do not think the price is worth it.
