I have had this camera for almost a year now. In that time it has preformed very poorly. The video quality is nonlight adaptive meaning that if you are filming in a living room or even outside the picture will appear grainy and dim. I have tried using this camera for just small things since it is easier to carry compared to a more heavy duty camera the audio on this camera is terrible to describe it. I have even tried using external microphones to gain better quality to no avail. The 3.5 mm port for audio is outdated and when using an adapter to a usb-c port it is non existent. The usb-c port on the back is labeled for charging and nothing else. Thankfully I have been lucky to record what was necessary on my phone (iPhone 15 pro) with better performance in every area.

This is the 3 camera we purchased, returned the other 2 because they were cheaply made. This one we like & takes amazing photos.

For the price it is good and handled our Rugby game filming from high in the stands.

When I purchased the Vivatar 8K camera, I was excited about the promise of capturing ultra-high-definition footage with stunning clarity and detail. Unfortunately, the product fell short of its 8K claims and delivered a performance that felt more in line with a standard 1080p camera. Build and Features At first glance, the Vivatar 8K camera looks sleek and professional. It has a compact design, an intuitive interface, and includes features like multiple shooting modes and built-in stabilization. The advertised specs—8K resolution, high dynamic range, and low-light capabilities—set high expectations. Image Quality This is where the Vivatar 8K camera stumbles significantly. Despite being marketed as an 8K device, the image quality is underwhelming. Videos and photos lack the sharpness, detail, and depth associated with true 8K resolution. Instead, the footage appears soft and comparable to what you’d expect from a 1080p camera. Colors are inconsistent, often appearing washed out or overly saturated. The dynamic range struggles in high-contrast environments, leading to blown-out highlights and crushed shadows. Low-light performance is similarly unimpressive, with excessive noise marring the image. User Experience While the camera is easy to operate, the overall performance doesn’t justify the cost. The menu navigation is straightforward, but the device occasionally lags when processing footage. Battery life is average at best, lasting just over an hour of continuous shooting, which is disappointing for outdoor or long-form videography. Verdict The Vivatar 8K camera might be an option for casual users who don't need high-resolution output and are on a tight budget. However, for anyone expecting true 8K performance, this camera is not worth the investment. Its quality is more akin to a mid-range 1080p device, and its marketing feels misleading. Rating: 2/5 While it functions as a basic camera, the Vivatar 8K fails to deliver on its flagship promise of 8K resolution. It's better to invest in a trusted brand that truly meets its claims.

The camera records well. The coloration on the video is not the best, but it may be in the settings. I have not tweaked the settings. Also, the battery is suppose to charge during recording, and it seems I have having trouble with it charging. But again, I am an amateur, and it may be something I'm doing wrong. Overall, the camera is good.

Sound quality isnt the best. Picks up all the little noises over big noise you want to record. Battery life isnt the greatest. Other then that nice camcorder for the price.

Actually really good quality and easy to work with. All cords are included, you will need an SD card. The volume could be better quality on recording but a mic attachment would increase the quality or the recordings. The picture seems average on the actual camera but looks incredible once uploaded.

Look, if you’re a professional who’s interested because of the 8k recording don’t get your hopes up. The 8k is only 15fps, not that it matters too much since no matter what resolution you’re using the image is constantly noisy. Clunky UI, terrible internal mic and too underpowered to support an external, this thing is truly the definition of you get what you pay for. However, it is somewhat aesthetically pleasing with how old school the videos end up looking. I would highly recommend this is you’re looking to get vibey rave or club footage, but definitely not for professional use.

Unfortunately, the camcorder is really "4K", not "8K" as labelled. 4K is also known as Ultra High Definition (UHD), with a pixel size of 3840 x 2160. Also, I returned the product because I found out (before opening it) that the record time is limited to 60 minutes. The salesperson did not know how long you could record using a single battery and know additional batteries were available.

Great deal for the money. Video quality is good, zoom is great. Batteries are decent could use longer lasting batteries. Easy hook up to television and great remote control. Would definitely recommend.

Not really 8K, only 8K with 15 FPS, stilling grinning film at low light, Its okay for a camcorder

Great camcorder! My daughter absolutely loved this as her gift! It’s so easy to use and great quality image!

Includes bag, hdmi cable, remote, usb c - usb-a cable, battery, lens cover, manual - what it does NOT include is a SD memory (max 256gb) and SD-to-Micro-SD adapter, picture looks good to me recorded at the 1080/30 setting. The touch screen works with a fingernail.

The reviews were correct. Disappointing video. We had hoped that everyone was just over critical. They weren't.

I haven't had an extreme amount of time to get familiar with the product but a couple of things I know I don't like is the feedback during video playback; it's a lot of feedback. I also don't like the volume doesn't go higher or that the microphone sucks. I've tried to buy other microphones but that doesn't seem to help.

My girlfriend uses it more I got it her to use for a wedding and it easy to use after showing her what to do

Amazing quality green feeling on the materials it really easy to ise great video quality and it really clear in the image sounds quality great and clean sounds lot of options to play around with it
