This soundbar is a solid choice for anyone who just wants a simple upgrade from the awful built in TV speakers. After a couple years of thinking the TV speakers were fine, boy was I wrong. Set up is super easy, the soundbar looks and sounds great. It's not the best one out there but you really can't beat the price. I have it in my bedroom and it can get real LOUD real fast. This is most likely better suited for a living room set up but I've had no issues with it so far. The "night mode" is great for controlling the sound level when you don't want it too loud. The bass sounds good enough for me and I like that I don't have to have an extra subwoofer but that's just my personal taste. The only thing that bothers me is that it sometimes will cut off the video feed from my gaming console to my TV for a few seconds when I am turning it on or off. Not entirely sure why but I think it auto shuts off after a period of inactivity (10 mins?) and when I come back and start playing again my TV will lose the signal form the console for a few seconds. I just pause the game until its back but it is a minor inconvenience. For an all-in-one soundbar at $150, this is the best you can probably get.

I like Vizio sound bars because they, unlike other soundbars, they come with all the cables you could ever need to use every input on the soundbar - great value! The sound is excellent and exactly what you'd expect from the price range - not exactly a full home cinema but as close as you could get to it for a single soundbar without other speakers. The built-in subwoofers are good and add a lot of great bass and dept to the sound. Setup was easy and programming the remote was easy. Only issue we had was with setting up the Bluetooth VA - it works but did not automatically revert to the original optical input after the VA was done being set up with the TV off. It reverts without a problem if the TV is one.

I originally bought the V series soundbar (with the sub) but noticed it was much smaller than my previous Vizio soundbar. It was fine for what it was, but as this soundbar was for a bedroom, I liked the idea of the all in one model. Further, I really hated losing my HDMI connection to the soundbar (ARC). When I saw this one come out o had to return the V series and go for this one since it has 4K Dolby Vision HDMI passthrough on the soundbar. This is an incredible soundbar. Hooking it up could not have been easier. Some reviewers said it was lacking bass - uh... are we listening to the same soundbar? I had it at only 3 volume watching a movie and it was quite loud, bass heavy, and punchy. What’s more, you can actually increase the subwoofers overall output so it slaps even harder. All that said, I very much highly recommend this soundbar. It’s way bigger than the V series, has six speakers vs. the three on the V series, and just sounds much better overall. Dialogue especially sounds great! Pick it up - you’ll love it :).

I purchased a 55" Vizio TV about 18 months ago and then bought a 65" Vizio TV this past Christmas. I love both TV's, but like many/most flat screen TV's the audio isn't the greatest. I started researching soundbars and liked the feature of Vizio's built-in subwoofers and the fact they would obviously be compatible with my two Vizio M Series TV's, so I purchased two of these soundbars. Hookup and start-up are relatively simple and straightforward and the difference in sound quality is amazing. The soundbars were very well packaged and everything you needed was neatly laid out and labeled. The user manual was also very detailed regarding the various settings and functionality. The soundbar remote allows you to do a variety of things including setup, effects, leveling and equalizer settings and then of course you can make additional adjustments on the TV itself to get things dialed in where you want them. The soundbars I purchased were very reasonably priced and I consider them a great value and quite an enhancement to my Vizio TV's.

This is an inexpensive (not cheap) solid plug-and-play soundbar! Fine tuning the bass and treble plus turning on virtual x and true voice makes the sound deep and full. I am impressed with the built-in soundbar, it works!

Have an older Toshiba (AOFT1U/AOFT2U) 40" flat screen. All I can say is should have done this sooner. What a difference in sound quality. The built-in subwoofers make the difference. No need for any extra speakers. Can't add them anyway. Easy to set up, had it working in 10 minutes. Had to use the optical cable as our cable TV is hooked into the best HDMI port. Even my musician hubby is impressed with the sound. Had to attach the bar to the base of the TV with heavy duty Velcro strips as there was no flat surface on the entertainment center. It's not going anywhere, sturdy & level. Haven't tried the bluetooth yet so I can't speak to that. Will get another for the bedroom TV. Don't pass this one up.

Perfect sound bar for a reasonable price. I own several Vizio sound bars and the quality of the sound you won’t get it on any other brand specially for that price. I definitely recommend this product/brand

I had the older version of this model and loved it. It's stylish and this newer model blows the older one away. The sound is so much better. The remote is probably my favorite feature. It has an LCD Display and shows you the options your cycling through on each setting. It also has an EQ. that let's you switch to Dialogue, Game, Music and Movie. The absolute best feature is on the Effects options. It has a Night Mode setting and this takes the base and Thump out of the speaker while also giving you great listening volume. This iron has already helped me out a ton, because I'm up most nights and my family can get some sleep without me disturbing them. It also is equipped with Bluetooth, HDMI, & HDMI ARC, USB and Optical Audio.. Buy this bad boy! I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

We bought this for our barbershop as an alternative to Sonos. We couldn't be happier because our Sonos system at home is terrible. This soundbar gives a crisp loud (great bass) sound throughout our barbershop that our clients love.

Works flawlessly with my Vizio TV while using the HDMI ARC port and I really love the display on the remote. Movie Mode bass is plenty for me, watching regular TV I'II go to dialogue enhanced mode. It really was a plug and play system - my TV or Apple TV remote automatically worked for volume on the bar. Mounts fairly easy to the wall and comes with two knobs that attach to the wall and the soundbar slides onto the knobs. I took one star away because it did not come with screws or anything to attach the knobs to the wall. It does not have to be mounted for great sound. Overall glad I choose this soundbar instead of spending more for a different brand.

I purchased this soundbar on sale after Thanksgiving. I had read some reviews and it all seemed pretty positive. I couldn't be happier with my purchase after using it this past month. It was very easy to get hooked up. And what a sound for such a small piece of equipment! It's clear when played loud and the bass is deep. Love that i can connect mobile devices to it as well. You can't help but laugh when you hear the difference between the sound coming out of it composted to the sound coming out of the internal TV speakers. It's also very stylish and doesn't look out of place on my TV stand.

I’m loving this, i was about to buy the Bose tv speaker, then i saw this one and all the good reviews. Glad i decided to go with this, sounds better than the Bose i have, especially with built in subwoofers, also love all the high end features like DTS virtual X. And it’s LOUD! even at low volume, the bass be pumping! And playing amazon music sounds awesome. Also love the AUX connection, as most home projectors use this, and this is reason i brought it to connect to my projector. Now it sound’s like I’m at the movies. So glad i went with this brand, saved me a lot of $$$.

For an all-in-one soundbar this thing rocks! I did hang it on the wall for a short time but with plastic hanging on plastic you can imagine the rattling noise from the bass.....and yes there is quite a bit of bass from this little guy! If you're short on space this will definitely do the trick for you. It gets very loud. On a second note, I recently purchased a Bose Smart Soundbar 300 that I will be returning to Bose and going back to this Vizio.....not sure what is going on with Bose these days but trust me, save the money, time and aggravation and get this Vizio for a stand alone option.

A good deal, especially for the price. Was delivered fast and set-up was easy considering all the cables for any type of installation were supplied. My TV isn't a smart TV so I didn't have a HDMI output, which will provide the best sound. Instead I used the optic cable which still produces a better audio experience than just the TV speaker. Every aspect is controlled from the remote (which came with battery, btw) The equalizer supplies settings for dialog, movies, music, etc. The bass may not be as pronounced as with a separate sub-woofer, but it is still a step above with its six speakers. And WiFi enables for smartphone application for music, etc. All in all, I'm very happy with this economical and quality sound bar.

A True Surprise with Some Direct Comparisons

This is an excellent soundbar that punches well above it's weight. I've waited 3+ months to write a review and in the meantime have auditioned 2 other soundbars (for another TV) so I've been able to make some direct comparisons. I had recently purchased the Bose TV Speaker and received the Yamaha SR-C20A as a gift. Both are priced well above the Vizio (with the Bose currently at 2x the cost). I love both Bose and Yamaha and have other products by both but there is seriously no comparison. The Vizio has a crisp, punchy sound and both bass and treble can be tailored to your liking to fit your room. The others only have bass adjustments and I found the Yamaha was really missing some treble as it does not have a tweeter for high frequencies. And without the Bass Extension enabled the sound unfortunately is anemic. The Bose TV Speaker fares better but it currently has a critical flaw where it amplifies quiet passages of programs (very evident in movies and shows) which produces an audible hiss almost like fan noise when a scene is supposed to be quiet. Once you notice it you pick it up every time. I also had issues with the remote learning function that were super annoying (volume would go up, down or randomly mute) when trying to change channels(!) which Bose acknowledged is an issue but there is currently no fix. Based on both these problems I returned the Bose because it was way too expensive to function like that. Hopefully they will do right with both of these flaws with a firmware update soon. Using the Vizio, on the other hand, has been a total pleasure and I am shocked at how good it sounds for the price and without a separate subwoofer. Movies and music both sound great and the DTS Virtual X does not overprocess the sound. As long as the Vizio proves reliable (and it has had absolutely no issues) I am sold on the capability of this company to produce a solid, great sounding product that performs well above its price.

    WANTED IT FOR SO LONG

Before I purchased it, I'd been eyeing this soundbar for almost a year. I was supposed to have added it to my living room setup far earlier than when I did. But when I started browsing for upgrades for my bedroom TV, I wanted to buy a little something to treat my family, too. That's where this comes in. Delivery, as usual, was extremely fast. The soundbar came in a highly attractive red and black box that, while being thin and constricting, was packaged well enough to prevent the unit from damage. My father and I unboxed it and set it up in our living room, deciding to connect it to our TV via the HDMI-ARC input. Next came the test drive. The minute we clicked on a YouTube video (one of my father's high-octane Western shootout scenes), glorious sound billowed out of the soundbar in a way that neither of us had expected. It shook the floors beneath our knees so strongly that all we could say as we glanced at each other was a simultaneous "whoa". I could tell both of our movie-loving souls were filling up with glee. This. Thing. RULED. We spent the next three hours playing around with it, getting accustomed to the remote and all of its controls. Before purchasing this soundbar, I had somehow avoided the knowledge that the remote had a small LED screen on it to helped you gauge your settings. That was utterly amazing to figure out. We played with all of the different sound settings - movies, music, dialogue, etc. - and with each new test drive, I became more and more confident in my purchase. After almost a year of longing to own this beast, it was finally mine, and it was FANTASTIC. That was, to the exact day of me writing this review, 2 months ago. This soundbar has been used every day for hours at a time and has never showed any signs of failure or defectiveness. I had to temporarily unplug it the other day to hook it up to a surge protector and the audio from the TV - which I had once loved - without it was utterly pathetic. If I ever have to go back to that, I just might die. Thank you to VIZIO for the quality product. I'm so glad it's finally mine.
