Bad screen
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for two months then the right bottom corner started to mess up. A light started shining in the corner it would get hot and now the whole screen is ruined after three months. And of course I didn’t get the warranty on it.

Lasted 21 months (with a 12 months warranty)
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Liked the TV okay. Display, colour and brightness just fine. Aggravated by the fact that it would mid movie not have sound or just turn off. After 21 months it started to show display issues. Is it unrealistic to expect that a modern TV lasts a few years before breaking?

Nice little set, slow/clunky software
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My use case: - Wanted a dual-purpose set to run a Fire TV Stick and a Mac Mini for a kitchen area. This fits the bill perfectly. 2 HDMI inputs, decently working CEC, 1080p resolution (unusual in this size TV), working speakers and remote. Positives: - Lightweight (thought the box had to be empty), easy to set up, fairly intuitive remote. - Clean picture when you turn off all the sharpness and other enhancements. - Fair, but not spectacular viewing angle. - Supports AirPlay out of the box. - Physical controls available for power (though not convenient), volume, and input switching. Negatives: - Painfully slow software. Briefly wondered if I wouldn't need the Fire Stick at all, but 2 minutes with this sloth and I plugged it in. Don't bother using the built-in stuff. - Poor customization. Need to be able to remove all of the extraneous input options from view. It lets you remove TV, AV or HDMI, but not USB and the other 60 inputs. I just want HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 to be visible. That's it. Can't do it. Fortunately the CEC with Fire TV Remote works fine...just ask Alexa to switch inputs. - A physical power button that's easy to access would be nice. This a trend in industry for some reason. It's OK with monitors that auto-detect inputs, but this TV does not. Have to use the remote to turn on. My LG set (admittedly a higher-end set) auto-detects and turns on when needed. - Poor power cord placement. Want to use the VESA mount for a Mac Mini bracket, but the power cord is right below the VESA mounts, interfering with the HDMI cable of the Mac. I can work around it but it's a poor design choice. Overall it's an inexpensive set and one of the very few at this class that support 1080p. Exactly what I needed and no showstoppers.

Plays MP4 and slideshows - showcase images!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a photographer, I bought this because my digital picture frame is too small and won't play 1080 mp4's. Unlike most buyers, I don't use this TV to watch TV! Picture quality is good. I've also streamed shows from the smart free TV feature just to see if it worked and it works good too. I insert a USB jump drive loaded with my photos and go through the menu to find the folder and start the slide show. I have NOT figured out all (if any) options exist for the slide show. The MP4 video is in a different folder - and so I have not experimented with including it in the photo folder. Normally, I don't post a review until I've had a item for six months to a year. But this is the ONLY tv with 1080 quality and a USB drive input that I could find. And if you're looking for a small flat screen to play your slide show (for pleasure or business) then this one is it. I've been running it for almost 48 hours straight - usually electronic items will fail within hours or a few days if they are defective. So far, so good. This TV has a option that can black out the screen if no voice track is played - the feature is selected from the menu and will black out the screen - so if you want to leave it on overnight and preserve the picture LED's you can do so - a simple push of the OK button instantly restores the slide show. I've included a photo of the TV - it is located on/in a dining room hutch and barely fits the opening. The feet that come with the TV make it too tall for my space, so I cut some simple wood blocks, painted them black and attached them to the TV. The TV has a fairly flat bottom and will stand on it's own without the feet, but I feel that it is a little "tippy" that way, and thus my reason for feet. The TV does generate a little heat, so it should not be inside of an enclosed space. I had to position mine so that heat could escape from the top. Heat is negligible otherwise. One note of caution: the USB drive sticks straight out the back of the TV - if you plan to wall mount the TV, you will need to allow about an addition 2.5 inches for a full sized USB stick to protrude from the back. Downside: the menu system is not intuitive. You'll have to play with it - good luck with that! However, if you want to show case your images, learn it and you will be pleased. When I have more free time I will experiment with mixing photos and mp4's to see if that works - plus other features that come with the TV.

I put it in my bathroom because it’s crap
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super slow between functions, streaming is terrible as well. 1080p more like 108p.

Good for the price but not great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Instructions included are minimal but sufficient. Locating the full user manual takes a bit of digging. Lots of streaming options included. The picture quality is quite good for the price. My biggest complaint is the processor is SLOW. Doing almost anything with the remote takes forever.

Vizio 24' LED TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased this product specifically because I wanted a small, inexpensive television to connect with some old VCR/Video disk players I had sitting on my shelf. The older flat screen it replaced had the required composite video inputs. Not having a need to purchase a TV for some time I just assumed they were still a viable standard. When I looked at the picture of the back of the set I thought the extra audio out puts were the composite inputs I required. It wasn't until later when I read the description more closely I realized my mistake. It was already too late to cancel the order so I had to spend an additional $25 for a video adapter. The TV itself has a good picture and even the built in speakers don't sound too bad. Although I had no need for a "Smart" TV I will say that it easily located my wireless network. For the money it is a nice TV ...It just wasn't what I needed. It only receives broadcasts in hi def. The picture is great, however the majority of local stations in my area are broadcasting SD which the TV does not receive. This is not a problem if you are connected to a hi def satellite or cable connection but is extremely limiting if you plan on using an external antenna.

Good Value in a small size
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for its size. It was one of the only screens that would fit in the space we had available in our kitchen. The price was fair and the quality is good. The sound qualtiy is not great, perhaps because of the size of the speakers.

Solid TV for the Price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture quality and sound. Packs a punch for the small size of the tv. Easy to put on the stands and remote is great. Some issues is the interface is slow and WiFi connection is weak. But a great tv for the price and for a bedroom television.

Great picture quaility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mounted this TV right in front of my treadmill so I can watch it while I walk - the size is perfect! Love the pic quality. Sound is adequate but I use headphones most of the time. Menu and setting are a little clumsy but manageable. Only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating... there is a little "power indicator" LED on the front lower right corner that is so bright it is distracting! You can shut it off in the settings menu, but when you turn off the TV, the next time you turn on the TV, the light starts flashing and that is super annoying! Then you have to turn the power light back on to get it to stop blinking.

Great small HDTV...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.with crappy, tinny almost useless speakers. Easy set up and love that it's WiFi capable. Using this for my 87 yr old mom and the bright clear picture is a major plus. Have this hooked up to a xFinity HD cable box via HDMI and soundbase via HDMI ARC. The TV is incredibly light and easily moved if needed. Even has a decent small remote that I used for setup only. Truthfully you really can't go wrong with this one. The included apps can be awesome for right user but not for the older generation who tend to be the some of the worst end-users on the planet. The casting capabilities will be used by relatives who want to show an annoying video of kids/grandkids to mom that she will no doubt love. Very happy with this purchase.

Great small TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't spend more on small TV. I bought this TV to be a monitor while temporarily working from home and then plan to move it to the bedroom to replace an older TV. The computer setting is great for my current use and the picture quality is great for a computer or TV, especially of this size. Almost all the common apps are in the Smart TV features. Being able to control it with my Echo has been great as the remote controls both this TV and my 65" in the same room. I do wish they used a different signal for these TVs. It is not a problem if the remote is facing completely away or in another room.

OK TV for the Kitchen
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for the kitchen. It was easy to set up and looks great with a picture quality better than I expected for the money. I like the way it's OS looks and works. I only have two complaints. First, the TV is slow in installing and switching between the apps available but for the price I guess you get what you pay for. Second, it won't allow you to download any apps that aren't already preinstalled. I have Charter Spectrum for cable and wanted to install their app to be able to get rid of the cable box. Since the Spectrum app didn't come preinstalled, getting rid of the cable box doesn't appear to be an option.

Troublesome, but useful TV.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this replacement for the TV in my study, because the old one was having worsening problems. This one is slightly larger than the old one, but just about the ideal size for my study. Picture quality is excellent, and the sound quality, when used with an external amplifier and speakers, is good enough to use, but by no means exceptional. It took about two and a half hours to set up, much longer than any previous HDTV, but it found 149 broadcast channels. When I pressed the "home" button while exiting the menu, thinking it was for menu "home," I learned, the hard way, that this launched a digital service, "SmartCast," of unexplained purpose, which would not exit. After it exited on its own while I ate dinner, the TV seemed to require a second scan of stations. It lacks (1) access to the on-air program guide, and (2) it has no picture effects like freeze-frame or the saving of a frame for later viewing, two features I really desired. The remote control has six buttons, each specific to a particular streaming service, none of which I use or desire to use. I consider it to be a reduced-function HDTV. (Note: I did not give it the password to my WiFi, as I'm not at all interested in using it over the Internet, and it relays information on one's viewing habits in order to have advertisements sent to one's E-mail address.) If the store had had a TV with the features I desired, I'd have returned this one for an exchange. Still, as long as I avoid pressing any of the seven buttons mentioned above, it works well, and the $140 price was pretty reasonable.

Not so SmartCast
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The VIZIO - 24 goes well in a small area. It has very good picture quality (LED Full HD). This plus the smart cast feature is why it was a great fit for what I needed. Unfortunately the smartcast portion was not easy to setup and I was unable to add all the streaming channels. Specifically I was unable to add Sling and Discovery+. As a result I purchased a Roku. Had I know this prior I would not have purchased as SmartCast. Other that than I have been pleased with the TV.
