Nice tv & computer monitor

24 inch Vizio tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv was easy to set up. Color is fantastic. There are several popular apps. The one issue I have with this tv is the sound quality. It is terrible. I bought some external speakers which improves the sound, however, when I try to adjust the sound using the cable tv remote, the volume control is completely disabled. I have to disconnect the external speakers to either raise or lower the volume. I don't have this problem with the other tv's in the house.

Good Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the color and visual quality of the TV. It is a nice size that fits on my desk and to use with the smart cast. It includes a free TV streaming app. I haven't used it much since I have Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Viki, and Amazon Prime... Loading the apps are easy and quick, but I've noticed a bit of a lag getting to the home screen

Good value, but poor sound & cumbersome operation
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm reviewing this keeping in mind that it was only $159, and you can probably get it for less on sale. It is a great value: A decent picture and smart TV functionality meaning can connect to Netflix, etc., though your home network without annoying boxes or dongles. But for $159, they had to cut corners somewhere. The sound is awful. I saw that in other reviews, but I thought, hey, I'm no audiophile, I'm sure it's fine. No, it's not. It's a very tinny, underwater sound from underpowered speakers. Way worse than any TV I've ever had, but I think this is fairly typical for this size TV now. I've hooked it up with a cable to an outside speaker, and it's much better. Would be nice if it could connect via Bluetooth, but again, it's only $159. The other annoyances are the slowness of the TV's response to various inputs. As a smart TV, this is basically a TV with a little computer inside. A very cheap, slow, crappy computer. Meaning doing anything -- switching inputs, establishing Netflix connection -- is painfully slow. And I'm not talking just a second or two. And the online manual (one is not included in the box) is not very good at explaining some basic functions. But it eventually works. I even got it to play video I had on a USB stick. All in all, though, I'm amazed at what this little TV can do for $159. However, I would have gladly paid say $199 or so for slightly better speakers and a faster interface. But it looks like such an option is not available in the 24 inch compact market. Again, a good value but it's not perfect.

Good Picture - Poor SmartTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need to replace a seven year old 28" Samsung LCD (non-smart TV) with something similar in size to recess into a cabinet in our kitchen. The Vizio was the perfect size, not too small and not too big as similar 28" LCDs are hard to find. Here's a list of my PROS, CONS and OVERALL assessment. PROS: Picture - Vivid, crisp and detailed Remote - Light, and comfortable in the hand SmartTV - Over 70 preloaded apps including popular apps like Netflix, Disney, App, Hulu, and YouTube TV CONS: Sound - Tiny, but I expected this in a small LCD TV Smart TV - Preloaded apps miss key players like HBO, Showtime, and others Smart TV Experience - 1) Unable to delete preloaded apps not used. Sorting 70 apps to place most commonly used at the top of is slow and tedious. 2) Apps not preloaded require casting from a mobile device. Would have prefered an option to delete and add other within Vizio interface. OVERALL: If you need a small TV/monitor with a solid picture for less than $125, look no further. However, if you truly cut the cable cord, and use multiple apps to stream paid content...purchase a separate media streaming device (Roku, FireStick, AppleTV...) for a much better experience.

Beautiful tv for the bedroom or smaller room.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing that struck me when the tv was taken out of the box was the chemical smell. This was quite strong for several days perhaps a week. The next thing were these legs, they were not long enough to stand over the cable box. I have FiOS by Verizon. The previous tv Sceptre had a square base that stood squarely on the box. I think that these set designers should take this into account. The set stands on a bedroom dresser and there is not enough room on the surface for the cable box to be at the side, as is my box in my office which is on a credenza. This is my second Vizio set. I also own a 40 inch model. The picture and sound are very good but there is no useful users instructions in the box. You have to go online for something which is a pain if your computer is in another room. Using streaming means using the remote that comes with the set for Netflix, Prime or other offerings. And this often requires you to go back to this remote to change input selection so you can go back to the cable box. I wish the tv went back to the correct input automatically when you use the cable remote. I have not used some of its other features such as smartcast so I cannot comment on how they work. But overall I like the set and i found the sound much better than the Sceptre which required a sound bar especially when my wife was drying her hair. I have not yet been able to go to browse the Internet. This is another feature, I think the set designers are down playing in favor of all these streaming apps. But I think it should be more easily available with these sets.

Good small, smart TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Model No. D24f-G1 has an excellent picture and was easy to set up. Only downside is weak internal speakers but okay for my purposes. The unit automatically loaded a software update during the initial setup. Preloaded apps seem like a useful set but your mileage may vary. The user manual took an extra step or two to find on-line but it's there. Curbside pickup at BB was easy too.

Great Little TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little TV for my office/craft room. Picture and sound are good. The fact it is a smart TV was what initially convinced me this was what I wanted. It connects to every streaming service I use plus many, many more. The only problem I had was the time it took (nearly 2 hours) to load all of the updates.

Good TV for the size
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a small TV for my office and I like my larger Vizio (50 inch, 4K) so I got this little guy, Super lightweight and easy to mount, good controls and great picture and sound. Many of the smaller TVs are just not up to the same standards as the larger ones but I feel like this is a good unit and a very good price.

24" Vizio Smart TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This small Vizio Smart TV is perfect for putting it in a room with a treadmill or office. Picture is very good and with the smart tv apps Netflix is real easy to view movies while working out. The tv is also very nicely priced and is a value added item in the workout/office room.

Nice little tv -computer monitor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture looks great. 1080p and it shows. I use it a 24 inch computer monitor and it’s great. The TV options are great. The only thing I don’t like is how slow the tv reacts to the remote control. Must be a weak computer processor. I got used to it, not a big deal.

Great value! Beautiful Picture⁰
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Vizio 24" full HD smartcast tv. You can easily stream or connect to cable. The picture is wonderful. You may need to contact your cable provider in order to learn how to use just your cable remote except when streaming. I haven't done that; so I must use tv remote to turn off the tv and to control the volume.

Great small TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaces a small Vizio TV we have had for 15-20 years. It goes above a laptop computer with multiple monitors. The picture is very good and the sound is clear. Could not get the SmartCast to work at first. It saw our WiFi but could not get it to connect. Directions said to connect it to our Google Home system. We have chosen to not have a smart home and the directions did not offer another choice. So...we plugged in the Roku we had for our old Vizio TV. The Roku woke up the SmartCast and Watch Free systems on the new Vizio. Our son now has the Roku and we have a fully functional Smart TV. Before the smart functions woke up, the TV constantly reset itself to SmartCast when we turned it on. Changing the input is frustrating because it scans through the choices so quickly it is difficult to press the button quickly enough when the correct input appears. The TV now comes on with the input being used when it was turned off. The input no longer has to be changed every time the TV comes on.

not that good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only good thing about this TV is the Picture The Sound is Terrible Sounds muffled At any Level But i didn't expect much for 120 dollars . I use it in my kitchen so i don't have to turn my big TV all the time nice and compact don't take up much room so that's good. The other big Complaint i know its a digital TV but it is the slowest one i have ever had even powering up is really slow getting threw the apps and stations IS a job its so slow you think its Froze up so your hitting the remote too many times and you end up skipping over what you want. . Anyway like i said for 120 dollars i cant complain i guess but i think i will get something else and put this one in my Garage . You Get what you pay for

This is a replacement for my first whech , adfter
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a replacement after my first one refused to turn on after about two weeks. This one is working well so far. HDTV picture quality is great, and sound not so great. But no digital TV's have great sound - hence sound bars. No problem. One downside - when I tried to return it within the grace period, and during the coronavirus episode where we cold no longer go into the store, I was told that for TVs, Best Buy technicians need to first look at the TV and see if they can fix it, But because no technicians were thee during the coronavirus shut down, they said they could give me an 800 # to call, saying I could mail the TV to somewhere. I persisted and said I'd bought many things from Best Buy, including their top of the line I-Robot Rumba vacuum cleaner, and have had to return a few items with no problem. I asked them to check again. Finally, the said OK and gave me a replacement TV. Not sure why TV's are treated differently. Something to be aware of.

Surprise!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV has great picture and offers a lot of streaming. However, I bought this one because it was a smart tv, and I thought I would be able to hook up to Spectrum with the app. I learned you can only hook up to Spectrum with a Samsung tv, which they do not make in a 24" tv. So I had to purchase a roku stick to hook up to Spectrum.
