I was a little skeptical about this television because of the low price for such great technical specs. However, I was very pleased that the television delivered quality picture. The refresh rate did an awesome job when gaming! Happy of my putchase, just hoping that this television will last for quite sometimes just so that this American company can be trusted in the world of television

Upgraded my old 19 in tv to this 40 inch vizio tv. One of the best purchases i've had. Its a smart tv which makes it even better. Has youtube and netflix app installed all ready which is great! I mainly use it for my WiiU. The image is clear. Great buy!

- Pros - Clear, Crisp and true definition of HD - Amazing sound especially for games -In TV wifi is a plus - Cons -I need it bigger lol - Also choosing the format sucks because zoom is to much wide screen has the two black strips and full cuts out the edges =( but I think that is most TV's Overall I got as open box and a discount can't beat the price for a smart tv with amazing apps.

I did a bit of research on this model and found a number of tests that identified this model as having great picture quality at this price point. I was pleased to find that this is true. The skin tones look true-to-life and the colors in general are realistic. It was amazingly simple to set up - 10 mins max - and this model is set up for Wi-Fi so the only cable is to the power socket. Easy!

I had been doing research on TV's for months and primarily looking at Samsung and LG. When I got to the store with some picks in mind, I started comparing picture quality and realized that the Vizio had great picture quality and refresh rate, especially for the price. I thought I was settling, but have been more than happy with my choice since I have gotten it home.

All depends on what you are looking for. This set I am using as a monitor for my laptop , only need it to be 1080p at the highest setting. I got it because it is light and I can physically carry it myself on any mobile applications that I use and even mount it on a truss by myself. If you are looking for a high-end set this is definitely not for you. If you are looking for something cheap and are not too concerned with the sound quality or are adding a soundbar or theater system to this set it has all the connections for that. I bought this set because I have one like it already so I knew exactly what I was getting so I was not surprised. It definitely works for what I bought it for. This model line is pretty old now I have an m series 2K set in my living room that is not even in the same zip code as this one. This set is durable and will work for what I need. I use both of these sets with a Android Mini computer stick in them in the HD port. The Netflix app seemed to stream pretty good on the onboard app on the TV right out of the box. Sound quality is not the greatest and you will definitely have to work with the equalizer settings to get the sound you want. Picture quality pretty much the same thing. Probably the best price I have seen for a 120 hertz refresh rate 40 inch LED set. In the class of sets it is in it is about a moderate to okay set

I was first interested in this because of a great "Cyber Monday" deal. I was won over by its quality. Picture is rich and clear, colors bright but natural. I'm loving watching NFL and NBA and being able to actually see who's playing. Easy to program and set up with connections to streaming sites, eg, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. This was a great Xmas gift to myself!

This is a good TV. The SMART aspect is fun with the apps and different features. The picture is okay, but definitely varies depending on what you're watching (cable, HDMI Input, SMART TV App). Also, Dynamic Motion is not as good as other TV's but this TV is a good deal. It's also very thin, light weight, and attractive looking. Perfect for mounting or using the feet provided.

I've always been a Samsung guy but the pricing and positive reviews here and on Cnet led me to try this TV. I am very happy with it. I don't think the remote is quite as fully functional as Samsung but the price and quality are very good in my opinion

Arrived at rental condo to find an antique non functioning tube tv in bedroom. Went to local Best Buy and found "open box" Visio 40" smart tv discounted to $265. Just the thing. Good picture, light weight with Netflix etc built right in. Salesman understood what I needed and saved me $100. I'm a Best Buy guy because it always works out.

I purchased for under $300 on sale. This is the only True 120Hz refresh rate in this range. It's a great vivid color picture and keeps ups without jitteriness on the screen with Xbox One fast motions. Slim bezel and good looking. Solid choice...

Easy to mount . Bought this for my daughters first year at college. She loves the easy access to Pandora and Netflix via remote buttons. Mostly she loves how the Netflix series immediately roll to the next episode without touching remote. Great picture,sound. All around great purchase for teenagers for the price.

Wanted a smaller tv but after looking at several tv's in the store we decided to go a little bigger because of the size of our room and the space between our tv and head of the bed. This tv is perfect and crystal clear. I also have a 70" Vizio and will never purchase another brand as long as they're around.

No problems setting up and getting this Vizio 40inch TV going. Fairly intuitive to operate. Great picture after you back off on the factory settings of brightness, color (was saturated), etc.

This is a great TV. The visual and audio quality is great. It was very easy to set up and it's so lightweight that it's simple to handle alone. It offers a good selection of SMART TV apps and they open very quickly (with a good internet connection). Very simple to program and use. I highly recommend it.

Our smaller tv died and this was a replacement. Bigger than the old one we had, but same brand. Reliable, nice color, easy to connect, etc. Looked for 1080p with higher refresh rate, and had it narrowed down to two. Vizio is such a good brand.

I purchased this TV for the guest room and I love it so much, I've been contemplating switching it with the TV in the Master bedroom. I like the Yahoo feature which shows (side by side with the program you're watching) weather and news. The remote is simple to use and the picture is super clear.

After my 8 year old Samsung I decide to give a try to another brand. More than happy. Very simple and good quality for a lot les $$$$. Now I'm thinking of getting a 55 model for my living room. Apps work great specially Netflix

I got this TV to replace my old analog set as our second TV. It was an easy set up and it connected to the internet with relative ease. Great picture and easy internet streaming. I would give 5 stars if there were more internet apps available. I am hoping Vizio adds more as time goes on, like MLB.com.
