This system is flat out aMaZing for $300.00. Bass can be adjusted and gives really really deep lows. Sounds just like a movie theater and I am very impressed with this purchase.

Conflicts with Vizio TV

This might be a nice system for someone that doesn't have a Vizio TV. The problem I had was when I only wanted to use the tv and the tv speakers the TV remote volume control would turn on the sound bar at whatever volume setting was used last! When I called Vizio support he said that there really wasn't a way around it. He also asked "can I ask why you would only want to use tv speakers when you have the sound bar" I told him that if the sound bar was advertised that the remote from my TV would automatically turn on the sound bar, many people wouldn't have bought it in the first place. Oh well lesson learned.

I will be returning this sound bar. I guess if I paid 199 for it, I would keep it, but it cost 299. I liked the idea of wireless sub and 5.1 sound. However, the rear speakers are very under powered and I have had to reset the system a few times every they cut off I would probably keep them if I paid less. I have been using for a day now and cant get past the idea that these seems to be very average speakers. I don't know where all the positive reviews are coming from. The speakers seem like they came off a 19.99 set of computer speakers.

I bought the system 2 months ago. Now it does not pair, so I have no sound from the sub woofer or the rear speakers. I sent them proof of purchase etc. They claim that I did not buy it from them, which I didn't. I bought from Best Buy. Their customer service just said "Too bad, talk to Best Buy".

I have a great Yamaha sound system this was meant to replace. My Yamaha is 10 years old now and just can not keep up with today's technology. I love my Yamaha and I have been very spoiled however it is time to move on. The reason I chose the Vizio is because of the wireless sub, surround sound speakers, and smaller footprint. I live in an apartment so the Yamaha is just too much. On paper this system is fantastic, however, in practice the sound is just okay. The only way I can describe it is muddy. Plus the bluetooth sound quality is totally unacceptable. When connected to bluetooth, the sound is wavy, just kind of coming in and out. It's very slight but noticeable none-the-less. Maybe I'm just too picky. For most people who are going to buy in this price range the Vizio will work just fine. For me, well, I'm returning it today and trying something else.

I was excited to find a wireless sub with rear speakers only to be angry when i opened the box and it did not come with a single cable or remote. Will be returning and going somewhere else for my future purchases.

Vizio's Customer Service Is TERRIBLE

Vizio is very proud that their product support is US based, but their representatives aren't knowledgable or empowered to solve customer's issues.
My brand new 5.1 sound bar is not working properly; the rear speakers both produce the same audio regardless of whether the sound is supposed to be coming from just the left or just the right channel. I tested the problem with multiple surround sound soundtracks (AC3, Dolby Digital and DTS) and none worked properly. To make sure there wasn't an issue with the sources, I performed the same tests on my previous Vizio 5.1 sound bar and did not experience the problem.
I called customer support, and the representatives I spoke with were not familiar enough with the product to provide any technical assistance beyond what is printed in the manual. When my call was elevated to a supervisor, I was told that, despite my setup working with a previous Vizio sound bar and having tried multiple audio formats, Vizio required me to test the product with a second device. Since I don't own any other 5.1-capable devices, that meant I needed to go to a nearby electronics store to buy (and then return) a Blu-ray player and a Blu-ray movie.

I loved this unit out of the box! Purchased in April only to have the sub and satellite speakers fail in September. Visio sent a reconditioned replacement. The sub worked by the satellite speakers did not. It took almost 2 weeks to get the 1st replacement. I now have to wait while they send another unit. Really disappointed in the service!

Bought the sound bar, a little over a year ago and the bar doesn't work now. I contacted vizio and they said sorry nothing we can do! The rep also told your warranty just expire a month ago!
