Great price for what I got. Surround sound could be better. Remote lacks backlight screen. Sound bar could have one more HDMI connection.

Easy to setup and connect. Good sound, good price. The satellite speakers do make a difference over the model that does not have them.

Soundbar has awesome sound, easy to hook up, and easy to follow instructions on how to customize. For the price, you won't beat the sound, not even with pricier brands.

First, this is a very good system for the money. I will tell you that you will have better luck if you have a TV that has HDMI ARC. In other words, if this sound bar is more modern than your TV, then you may have issues with connections and some formats. For instance, I was watching a movie the other night that was in DTS, but since I did not have the ARC channel on the TV, I got background noises, but no voices from any of the characters in the movie. I have everything running to the soundbar's HDMI in and then using the HDMI out to the TV. However, as I said above, the soundbar has HDMI ARC out and it causes issues with replay of some movies. Other than that it sounds good. Subwoofer is a little strong and there really isn't enough margin in the settings to tame it. I've tried adjusting the highs and midranges, but still the sub over powers them. All in all though, I would buy this again.

Compared to other sound bars on the market, I feel like this one is tough to beat for the price. I've seen a few others comment that it almost has too much base at times which I can somewhat agree with. You just have to get your stuff setup properly in your room. There are definitely more expensive options out there that are better, but in this price range this sound bar is a no brainer.

Great sound coming from all speakers. The subwoofer is intense as are the other speakers. Another great thing about this system is that the rear speakers and subwoofer are wireless and can be placed anywhere including on the wall. It's affordably priced, great sounding, easy to setup; I could'nt be anymore happier with this wireless speaker system by Visio at such a great price at Bestbuy

I have had this surround setup for a month now. The sound is incredible. The only drawback that I would say would be there is no level adjustment for the subwoofer and the sound can sometimes be a little bass heavy. The room I have the system setup in is 20 foot by 10 foot and connected to a 55 inch vizio LED TV. The sound clarity and quality is excellent

The sound is awesome and very clear. When watching movies, with a lot of action, the sound really makes you feel like you're right there! Music sounds so much better with the rich base sound. I wound highly recommend this product. The price was very reasonable as well.

This sound system is perhaps the greatest beginner 5.1 Surround Sound solution in a box. When I first got my new 65" TV I figured that a soundbar wouldn't make much difference over the TV speakers. Best Buy had a sale on 2.1 soundbars a few weeks back, and I went in store to check them out. They were in the $250 - $350 range and they were all weak. Then I came across the Vizio S4251w-B4 5.1 system. The demo model was really impressive, but they were all out of stock and wouldn't sell me the display model. So I went back and did some more research. That's when I found this baby. A slightly shorter soundbar, but just as much power. And all in a stylish new package. I was hesitant to pay full price, but got a price match to get it under $300. Now that I have the system I'd happily pay up to $400 for it. I'm no audiophile, but the difference over my TV speakers and the other soundbars I tested is like night and day. The sounds are crisp and clear, and the bass booms. Other reviews I've read said that the system puts out too much bass, even on the lowest setting. True the default setting is too bass heavy, but adjusting it down to the low end is perfect. The amount of bass output I get when watching movies gives the perfect theater experience. 10/10 Would Definitely Recommend

I would agree that its more you get than that you spent for this system. Great sound, good bass effect, and more importantly there are no wires from TV to your rear speakers.

I got this model for Black Friday. It was around $220 and definitely worth the price. I find the bass to be perfect. I live in a small apartment and I would give this soundbar 5 stars if it were a bit louder for music. The remote is somewhat annoying but I have a Harmony elite remote to fix this issue.

I use this Vizio soundbar with my 55 inch TV,and blue ray player. The sound is great for music and movies. The sound fills the room. I had no problem with setting this up. The adjustments are great for fine tuning. I am very pleased with this unit.

You need a flashlight to view the remote control. The remote control sucks big time. Could not believe that you need a flashlight or other bright lighting to view the contents. The sound is awesome. Solid bass, awesome surround sound. Might buy one for my bedroom, but one with a remote control that you are able to view in the dark or dimly lit areas.

Vizio really surprised. Awesome theather sound! A must. First bought an different brand sound bar but returned it to the fact the sound quality did not meet my expectations. Then decided to buy this brand Vizio do to the good reviews. And omg boy was I surprised it sure does give you that theather sound quality you hear at the movies. Is like you are in the tv. The bass wow perfect! I am glad I gave vizio a chance. I recommend this brand for sound bars.

This system is a great little system for the price! Does everything a surround sound should do. Very happy w/purchase!

Sound from this system is terrific. Read some reviews that the bass was too loud, and found that untrue. The only problem I had was that the sub-woofer needs to be in direct sight of the soundbar, and that was a difficulty with the way my living room is set up. So we re-positioned some couches and the connection problem is gone!

My kids had been asking us to set up the game/tv room with a flat screen and surround sound. This Vizio 40" 5.1 was the perfect solution for the sound. It has great surround and the ability to customize the settings. It linked up to my Vizio tv (70" E-Series) with no problems at all. The satellite speakers and 6" subwoofer really make it feel like a much more expensive sound system, without needing a receiver and all sorts of wiring, as the subwoofer is wireless and the satellite speakers wire into the subwoofer. Easy placement and great sound. I recommend buying stands for the satellite speakers to get them up to at least ear level. Great product for the price.

MY daughter got a new TV and needed better sound. Purchased this Vizio for her. It is not just a sound bar but a surround sound. The quality for the price is excellent. Setting it up was not that difficult. She was quite pleased with product.

I did a lot of research online before I purchased this home theater system and it does not disappoint. The sound is amazing. no other way to describe it. I was blown away with how clear and crisp the audio is, and also blown away with the power of the subwoofer and surround sound. This was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I am completely satisfied with the sound and look of this system. The two rear speakers do have wires to connect to the subwoofer, but you don't have to worry about wires going across your room since the subwoofer is wireless. If there is one complaint, it is that I cannot get my universal remote to power the system on and off. I did get it to control the volume, though. I'm sure I could find a remote that would control it, but I like having the sound system remote handy in case I want to change a sound setting, so it's not a hassle to have to power on and off with it.
