I purchased this TV because it was the cheapest with up to date specs. It has Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and maybe HLG. It has HDMI 2.1 which currently is future proof (New Standards), supports DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Digital. The first one I bought had the whole last row of pixels white in a dark scene in The Last of Us 2, then I seen it pop up again in other videos. The 2nd one I got, from "Factory" was missing a leg stand and returned it to best buy. I should be getting the hopefully last one later this week. But from the 2 days I owned this TV, I enjoyed it had some nice colors, and the brightness is okay (I view my videos in low brightness). I doesn't have all the apps i use but it does support google casting, so it'll pass with that feature. Will update if needed

I am not a gamer and only use for sports, movies and streaming. I will admit it took an hour to configure picture to my liking but when I got it wow! Beautiful picture and darks are pretty good . Side angels you do lose a lot of clarity but not to bad we’re you can’t see what’s going on. Great remote for a change and plenty of games and features I will probably never use. For value and price it gets a 4.5

Best bang for the buck at 50"....probably

I was looking to upgrade a TV in small "rec" room and placement-wise, could only fit a 50" max. I found myself using this rec room more and more so I wanted to get something with modern features that wasn't going to break the bank (i.e. FALD, Dolby Vision). I do game as well so that was another consideration. After a few months of research, it came down to the Vizio M50Q7-H1 and the TCL 50S535 as both of these looked like the best bang for the buck in the 50" range with good picture quality (source: rtings.com). I was initially leaning towards the TCL (I already have 2 TCLs and love the Roku integration and it has better reviews) but it has no modern gaming features (no HDMI 2.1, ALLM, VRR) so even after reading the reviews of this unit and seeing some of the issues with power, I decided to jump on the Vizio. Pros: Picture quality is what you would expect in this price range. HDR is "just ok". Picture quality is better than the lower end TCLs but not as good as my 2018 TCL 6 series. Overall for the price, it's right there with what I expected. While it doesn't have 120Hz panel for gaming, it does do VRR and ALLM which will sync output from an HDMI 2.1 compliant gaming console to a locked 60fps (this reduces/eliminates screen tearing) and force "game mode" automatically, respectively. Have had the set for 2.5 months and no power issues thus far. Cons: The built-in Vizio software is clunky at best. Doesn't hold a candle to Roku IMO. I even bought a Roku stick just so I didn't have to deal with it. Another con "for now" is that if you have an HDMI 2.1 device (i.e. Xbox Series X or S), you cannot use any current HDMI 2.0 switch with it. Small use case but I was using a 4x2 matrix to output 3 different devices to 2 TVs. Had to scrap that for now as it won't work properly with HDMI 2.1 source and target devices. There are some issues with the TV going "black" when jumping from the menu into a game on the Xbox. This doesn't happen all of the time but lasts about 15 seconds before displaying again. Doesn't seem to be related to the power issues at all as the TV does come back on it's own. It will come back immediately if I power off and on again though (soft power not pulling the plug or full reset). A quirk but it hasn't irked me that much so far. Overall: 50" TVs unfortunately get the short end when it comes to features. You can't really find an affordable 50" that supports 120Hz, FALD or that has great HDR performance. So for now, and hopefully not forever, we are left with these sets that are "good" but not "great". It's funny because you hope over time that the deluxe features of X years ago will make it into lower end sets but that really isn't the case (i.e. my 5 year old Samsung KS8000 buries this TV in picture quality...granted I paid $1600 for it but it's a dinosaur compared to the best features of today). If you absolutely need a 50" and don't want to pay the piper for the 48" LG OLED, this may be as good as it gets. If you can go up to 55", you have much better options (120Hz, FALD, HDMI 2.1 features, better HDR performance, etc). Right now, if I was jumping on a 55", I would get the Sony XBR55X900H but would probably wait for a sale (think I saw these as low as $849 and the 65" as low as $999). Also, always check the reviews at rtings.com as new sets are starting to hit.

50" Class M-Series Quantum LED 4k UHD TV

Received my 50" Quantum Vizio tv on time and not damaged. It took a solid two days to set the color red vs green but once completed it is awesome. Like most large screen 4k led tv's the viewing angle is not the best but straight on the picture in my opinion is better then the foreign brands and at a much cheaper price. Also, for folks that want to hook a stereo amp to the the tv using rca jacks Vizio is the only tv I found to still have this capability. After a week of viewing the tv did have to be unplugged to start up. I have since placed the Vizio on a power strip and reset without unplugging, This is a Vizio problem found on most of their current lineup but for me it happens infrequent so I am living with the interface problem hoping Vizio can provide a fix in a later software update. Again for the price, the brilliant color and the rca jacks I can live with the power on issue. Once the tv is operating it is a quality product. An important side note if you have the need to adjust the picture to fill full screen you must select picture, then input picture settings, hdmi mode - select mode 1.4 instead of auto and the tv will restart allowing non high definition video to fill the entire screen. This is not written anywhere in their manual and use to be a quick remote "wide" button now dropped on newer models.

Main use: Console gaming, PC monitor for work, Netflix/Amazon Prime/YouTube Pros: 1. Great picture quality 2. Easy to understand and operate user interface 3. Fast response 4. Future proof features 5. Low price given available features 6. Pro Gaming engine 7. East to setup Cons: So far none. I will update if I find one After doing some research I end up buying Vizio M series - M50Q7-H1. So far, TV has not disappointed me. It has everything I was looking for in my price range. I own a Vizio HDTV (60 inch). I have been using that TV from last 5 years and it has great picture quality for HDTV till date. I wont'g go into technical details. I am writing based on what I see and experience. I used to play console games (XBOX One X) on my old TV and it gives decent gaming experience given that it is 5 years old Tv so no HDR, VRR, 4K. After playing same games on this new TV with Pro gaming engine, that gaming experience is at another level. Awesome picture clarity, the sharpness, smooth motion, great gaming picture details. As the TV input for console is selected and game is started, it automatically shows HDR 10 and Pro Gaming engine on screen to show that it's on. The moment you see game screen, you will see big difference in picture quality. If you are going from 1080p TV to 4K, it's going to be huge difference. (It is At lease for me) Given pandemic situation that we are all in and Working from home situation, another reason I bought this TV for. 50 inch TV instead of those wide screen monitors for work in lower price than those monitors and it works great as PC monitor. I can divide 50 inch screen into 4 screens using 3rd party application. It's like having 4 - 24 inches monitors on one screen without running multiple cables and need of docking station. Just one HDMI cable and you have 4 screens like experience. I haven't watch many videos on this TV other than few YouTube videos but I am looking forward to watch some Netflix on coming weekend and see how it performs. Build quality on this TV is good. When you touch it, it doesn't seem cheap. I wish it was more slim that it is. I'd rather prefer after market TV stand than legs it comes with just for my own satisfaction that it won't break.

I was shopping for a new TV for a better gaming experience and this so happened to be my first purchase of a 4K TV. For my bedroom I wanted another 50 inch TV. I did so much research and it was a hard decision between a Samsung, Hisense, LG, and The Vizio. The other TVs are a little cheaper than this one and I was tempted to go for the cheaper popular brand. I decided to just go for Vizio and I am very satisfied. First the quality fo the screen is amazing there are so many options to choose from to make the color experience to your liking. Playing games on it is simply brilliant. I am playing Ghost of Tsushima and my gosh the vividness and world in this game is breath taking on this screen. I thought this would be just for gaming, but there was so much content for shows I was impressed. A lot of free shows that helps with being stuck at home and the integration with Alexa and Google is a great addition. Not only that 4 HDMI ports and YES they all have 2.1 too along with the other HDMI standards. When I play a game it detects and turn on the pro gaming mode and also activates HDR10 without having to change settings. I just got this TV and I am still learning, but I must say this was a great decision to go with this choice. Also I didn't know this was a late model. All these additions for this price is worth it.

I don’t buy TVs often. When upgrading recently, I did an exhaustive search in our size and price range, knowing we would end up somewhere in the mid price/feature range. This thing is fantastic and really stands alone with quality and features in the 50 inch size. Perfect timing to catch it just as the new version is released, and connections are future proofed for years to come. I think the new streaming platform is great and VIZIO has clearly fixed all the issues earlier reviewers encountered with picture and interface. The HDR is GREAT with Dolby Vision content. Blacks are really good to my eye, not OLED but far better than I ever thought I’d get at this price. I can’t imagine paying 2x, 3x, 4x the price to only get a marginal increase in picture quality. This thing rocks for $400!

I've only had this TV for a few weeks, but I'm mostly happy with it. I haven't gotten to try the game mode on a PC, but it displays full colors with my switch, and its 1080p scaling is good from what I can tell. Vizio TV's are less user-friendly than Samsung, and I think they're more suited to technical users since there are few "automatic" setup features. The Vizio site doesn't have any support for their 2021 series online yet either so early adopters are on their own for the moment. PROS: *QHD TV at less than $500. I can't find a better price for the picture quality. *Custom picture profiles with name and save function *Smart home/internet of things compatible. *Great response time on UI input and HDMI sources. *Built-in speakers better than expected for a 2.0 configuration. CONS (as of aug 30 2020) *Only low-level bluetooth. Can't broadcast or receive audio via bluetooth without adapter. *SmartCast and companion app are buggy and not customizable. Applies to all SmartCast products. *AirPlay 2 doesn't like autoplay for some reason. *

For the price ... almost perfect! (Probably a 4.5 in reality.) I previously owned the 2019 version of this TV then my dogs collided into my stand during their playtime and the tv went flying ... DEAD TV! So after reading so many reviews I tried the new 2020 Hisense Quantum TV ... HATED IT! So, I got the new model of my old Vizio which I previously was satisfied with. My findings: OS system is now smooth and transitions between apps great, big improvements to the remote, more weight, clearer buttons and no longer will the back pop off if you drop it. The quantum colors are PHENOMENAL when streaming 4k, UHD, 10+ or Dolby and even 1080p. Everything is crisp, clear, bright and colors pop ... even blacks are extremely good. I really only have 2 issues with this tv ... both fairly minor. I still have Dish TV but probably watch it for only a few hours weekly ... mostly cable news and 1 or 2 programs on local channels. For some reason, it doesn't handle non-streaming or at least Dish very well. The programming looks real good but you definitely see minor artifacts when viewing and things are not perfectly crisp. The other is extremely picky but would have been nice ... like still no way to watch from a hot-key or app to watch Google Play. I have lots of movies that I own in my online library. So you must go to the online app and stream it from your phone or in my case, I use a Roku stick. All in all, for $399 for this type of set ... very much worth it. (PS ... tomorrow I'm getting my hanging bracket to mount my TV on the wall. No more puppy dog accidents! PPS ... look online at Rtings.com for recommended settings for SD and HD ... will make it look even better.) Enjoy!!!

I primarily game on this TV, and it's wonderful. I do wish it had a 120hz panel, but for the price I'm not complaining. Colors (Quantum dot) are great as well as black levels. There is virtually no backlight bleed which is a huge priority for me. My biggest complaint is blooming and some dirty screen effect, but I can live with it. I was happy to see VIZIO add gaming features. In my opinion this TV is a great option to consider. My primary TV is an LG OLED and I can say that I'm happy with this VIZIO in comparison.

I love this tv so much. It’s beautiful and works with my PS4 pro amazingly. My only complaint is with the remote. The volume bottom can be a little laggy sometimes and take a while for me to actually be able to turn it up or down. Otherwise this tv is fantastic! And the free tv channels are a huge bonus!

My first Vizio and I’m happy with my purchase. Cord cutters TV for sure. OS is snappy unlike early versions I’ve read about. Streaming from apps, Hulu, Disney, Prime, all look great. I’m using the Bright picture setting, not the recommended Calibrated setting, with a few tweaks to my liking. If you’re a gamer, you can’t beat it for the price. That’s high compliments coming from a 2017 Sony X900 owner. In a bedroom on my wall, this TV does not need a soundbar surprisingly. It gets loud, so check it out in the room it’ll be used for first. My next purchase just might be the Vizio P-Series Quantum X 65 for the living room. But I’ll give this one more time to see if it holds up.

Great price and features, I bought It to go with my Xbox series X. And it looks great, the only it's missing is 120hrz. But there are no next gen AAA games that will run at 120hrz. Some last gen but no next. It has V-sync, full array local dimming, HDR and hdmi 2.1. would also work great as a monitor for PC.

First TV I've purchased in 9 years and am pleased with it. Picture quality for shows and movies is really good and playing on a PS4 looks crisp, especially when the HDR activates. Only con I've had is needing an occasional soft restart when Watch Free, auto updates, or displaying my PS4 don't work properly. This has fixed it the 3 times I've needed to do it.

This is the first modern 4k TV I've ever purchased. I was between this and the V-series, but I think I made the right choice. The picture on this thing is incredible with well mastered content. Black levels are excellent, and overall contrast is great even without local dimming (there's only 16 zones, so it doesn't make a huge difference). Brightness is fine for a well lit room. The colors really pop on this screen, especially with HDR content (this is a QLED display). I don't use the built in speakers, I'm hooked up to a 5.1 sound bar system, but I've heard they're about as good as you expect in a flat screen. Watchfree is a nice feature, with lots of content streaming in 720p or higher (PlutoTV actually has a 4k channel, but you have to load their app to access it). The other apps seem to be fairly quick and work well. I've been able to stream 4k HDR content from Netflix, Prime, and YouTube so far. There was an initial bug causing a colored line along the bottom of the screen which was fixed in a recent firmware update. Since that's been fixed, I feel quite happy with this TV purchase.

I'll start my review with Bestbuy shipping. From my order date on Wednesday night July 1st, it shipped the next day from Ohio by UPS and I had it delivered on Monday morning the 6th. So I'm writing my review after 24 hours of a full day use. I will first say that if you buy this year's Vizio 50" M-Series you are buying a Vizio Top of The Line and State of the Art TV. I don't see how anyone that knows what it means to buy a new TV that really can be anything less than 5 Stars for every new feature that this TV has compared to last years model and for the same $400 price that is also the same as last year. Vizio M50Q7-H1 TV has a lot more to offer for you for the money. This year's Vizio TV's are all future proofed. Here is something about me from reading and watching video from CES 2020, I knew that this is the TV I wanted to upgrade to from my Vizio 2015 E43-C2 model and I waited 183 days to this model TV in my home. Here is something about Vizio. Vizio was CES 2020 Award winner. The M-8 is only available in 55" and 65" so this how I can say this M-7 model TV is best 50" TV for 2020-2021. Vizio really updated all new features this year over last year. First you get a 2.1 HDMI eARC port for Dolby Atmos compatible Soundbars. This was missing from last year's model. You are getting up to 600 full screen nits this doubled from the 2019 models and Vizio IQ Active Processor that provides powerful image processing. I'm happy for just how fast SmartCast 4.0 is and how it's super easy to navigate and with fast loading compared to Vizio 1.0 I'm amazed with all the apps included and gone is the yahoo/Oath apps. What you all get out of M-7 50 for 2021 have a gaming console like Xbox 1 or PS4 or PS4 Pro upgrading to a PS5 or X box Series? The M-Series has a ProGaming Engine that includes Variable Refresh Rate, AMD Sync, Auto Game Mode, low input lag and Auto Low Latency Mode or ALLM. I'm not a computer games but if I had a gaming system now I would use this TV over a computer monitor. This is feature to have for future proofing. I would love to see a PS5 Demo on a Vizio M or P Series. On the HDR formats you get them all HDR10, Dolby Vizio, now included is HLG and HDR10+, How many brands have them all? This year Vizio has them all another reason this the Vizio 2021 models are future proofed. I my only complaint is when you select input and have a cable box set up it locks out some of the Picture setting menus so this setup it's the selection menu is defaulted. Such as Contrast, Color, Tint and Sharpness. In this no changes can be made. This is because the IQ Processor needs to work by having only default settings. On Smart cast all selections can be changed. Now on to Audio this TV as 10 inch speakers are good for TV speakers that don't have bass or even EQ unlike my other Vizio you can use a Sound bar and the TV speakers on at the same time without the stadium sound effect. There is no audio delay from my Vizio 2.1 SB362An there is a very nice equal sound balance that TV has the midrange sound to it. Also the TV Dialogue Enhancer with Off, Low, Medium, and High. Ever watch a DVD and the audio was bad you can't hear dialogue and used sub titles? I haven't used it. Now with Vizio the audio goes from 0-100 and has a thin line audio bar this different the light bar from 2015 that had thick vertical lines. Vizio 4K really does a good job at upgrading 720P to 4K. The only way to watch 4K content is by 4K viewing 4K made content which is really good but really hard to tell from 720P and 1080P.

I’ve had this TV for a few months now. This TV has good picture quality, especially for just under $400. The speakers are ok. If you’re picky with sound quality, I’d recommend buying a sound bar. The software works fairly well on the TV, haven’t had any major issues. However, VIZIO doesn’t have an ESPN app. There’s a bunch of other apps for things that I’ve never heard of, but ESPN is not available on VIZIOs??? Lastly, I have a weird power issue. After turning the TV off for the night, sometimes the white power led will be on the next day (even though the TV is off). When this happens, the TV will not turn on with the remote or physical power button. I have to unplug the TV, wait a few seconds, replug it back in, and use the physical power button to turn on the TV. This is very inconvenient and disappointing for a ~$400 TV, but not worth the hassle of trying to get a replacement.

I first spotted this tv in another store and rather than wait for them to ship it to me I decided to visit Best Buy instead tv was 20$ more here but I don’t mind paying for xtra for the option of a warranty especially with the wiring in my old home. Now to the tv itself I was looking to upgrade an old tv I didn’t have any I did what I wanted at the time so I did my research and decided between a qled and an oled but that’s all I knew I wanted I also wanted 3D but I soon learned the newer TVs strayed away from that technology. So the first thing that brought me to this Tv was the price I saw many qled and oled TVs on the way to finding this one and the price started for lows of 750 to highs of thousands of dollars I almost gave in and opted to buy one of the regular uhd TVs but then I saw this familiar with the brand I looked into it a little it’s price was if I remember correctly after the warranty I still paid well under 600 if I recall right and that was with the 50” I was originally gonna get the 43” but they were out of stock and to be honest with the great price I figured might as well get a little extra plus unlike other brands the difference in price between the sizes was under 50$. Now I’m aware that some reviews put this tv down a lot especially when comparing them to other TVs that use the same technology so I’m gonna break down my analysis of the television. For one like I said the price is hard to beat vs other TVs in its classification. Now I know some people say the tv is too bright or the the colors aren’t sharp enough. My opinion no it doesn’t have the color contrast and depth that the more expensive models of other qleds have and I think the tv can get a little bright but it’s pretty easy to open the menu and adjust the brightness. I have also heard people had problems with the speaker’s sounding tinny on higher volumes. I turned it up for test purposes and ya all the way up does push them a little but I look at it as TVs are a lot more focused on other features like casting how fast the built in WiFi cards can keep up with and all these different kinds of picture types and how to beat other technologies so the speakers even on high end TVs get neglected anyways. That being said I’m not saying the nice TVs speakers are subpar just that speaker technology in TVs especially with limited space inside of it hasn’t excelled in prowess at nearly the rate picture quality has. So for me the speakers are perfect but I’m in a smaller room but nowadays if your room is of any real size I recommend getting a sound bar which actually work better than some cheaper end surround systems. A sound bar would also work really well with this tv since it has the space under it since it utilizes legs that each have two contact points on each one so the middle is unencumbered the legs by the way were made of metal to my pleasant surprise. Now one aspect most agree on is that this is an amazing tv or could be used as a monitor for pc or console gaming the gaming mode the tv has keeps everything moving gracefully and very fluidly. I’m no professional gamer I don’t have the time to play the as much as I used to or would like to so I can’t tell you the differences to the microsecond like some tournament players say but the images were sharp and flowed and transitioned better than any tv I’ve played on before will it make me a better gamer no the amount of time you save with a tv that runs this smooth is wasted on my skill level others out there it could make the difference between clutching a win or tasting defeat. For me it wasn’t abrupt or the best way I can describe it is choppy like other TVs were When I couldn’t tell what was wrong with them all I could tell was that it wasn’t smooth and something on them was off this one on ther other hand kind of felt like I was more a part of the game and the cutscenes flowed and captivated me more like a high end well made film that makes you feel like it’s all real. The only time I ever have a problem gaming on this tv deals with my internet connection but I have poor internet for gaming were I live. The tv is also a reasonable weight I actually have mine mounted in the bedroom and I like it’s thin bezel around the edges so it feels like you get more tv. The last thing I like about this is yes it has a build in Hd converter if you want to hook an antenna up but it also has a lot of apps preinstalled and has one it comes with that is kinda like having free basic cable it has some local channels and then a small variety then there are plenty of other apps on there preinstalled that have free shows you can watch all with a very simple to use interface. I love the apps it comes with because I like a lot of other people nowadays don’t have cable or satellite but instead just rely on streaming apps and the like for my tv viewing pleasure. That’s why I love the cable like app because when you have all the shows you wanted to arch to choose from sometimes at least with me the overload of options puts me out of the mood to enjoy them so then I don’t bother watching them the cable app brings back a nostalgia were you have select channels available and each one had whatever show was on so with this one I can channel surf until I find the show that catches my attention.

I would recommend this to a friend
