The picture quality is very good. This is my second vizio. Their quality is great for low price. The keyboard on the control is very useful. Turning the tv on is fairly quick. Doesn't have extra features like other tvs but you won't really use them. The sound is average. The colors on the picture are really good. Don't like using the opera effect slows down everything.

Bought the M552 as a closeout and replacement for an 9 year old LCD that quit on me. The new picture is very good, and the center pedestal allowed me to continue using the same furniture to place this TV onto it. Internet setup was easy, but I have an X-Box with an Ethernet cable so I haven't used the "Smart" features yet.

Great picture, smart tv functions are user friendly and easy set up

I was shopping for a 55" TV for a while and had almost settled on a different one when the price on this baby came down a bit. It was pretty much a no-brainer to jump on it, and I'm glad I did. I think my biggest problem with it is how it resolves dark colors and blacks (look, this season of Game of Thrones has been dark as hell) - but the lights are fabulous. I haven't really dug into the minutiae of the settings yet to work with the darks, but I'll live. It's a very, very minor annoyance that is washed entirely out by the brilliant light colors. Then again, I may just be easily impressed with anything better than my 8-year-old 38" TV. :) (Streaming services and menu are excellent and easy to use; the full keyboard on the remote is slightly sticky straight out of the box but is great once broken in. Binging Daredevil likely helped.)

The picture is amazing, overall I'm very happy with this TV. I would definitely recommend buying one over the more expensive brands. Great TV at a great price!

I purchased this TV because I needed a TV for my basement. I decided to purchase this TV because I have another Vizio 55" smart tv that is about 1 1/2 years old and have had no problems with it this far. Vizio makes high quality products at a fraction of the price of its competitors and would always consider Vizio products when I'm in the market for new electronics.

Only had this TV for about a month, but really enjoying the features. Of course, we haven't discovered and/or used them all yet! :) These LA Angels fans are enjoying watching the season begin on a bigger screen!

I could never get the picture to look/feel natural - it had a compressed appearance. I was also disappointed the 240 hz since when that was on it automatically went to a film mode picture which was very disturbing. Also, the reviews about poor sound quality are right - it's not good. I know these are highly rated but based on the one I had the ratings should be average. I moved on to a Sony for just a few dollars more and I am very happy with the picture and sound quality - the picture has a much more "natural" look/feel.
