I cannot bring myself to spend $4-$5k on a TV, and now I know you don't have to!
The picture quality on this unit is incredible; local dimming and high resolution combine for amazing black levels and screen uniformity. My 3 year old edge-lit LED looks awful next to this picture (and we thought that one was amazing until now). Everything on the screen is perfectly clear, there is no blurring when watching sports, no bright spots during movies (dark shadows are actually dark) and even the cartoons for the kiddo are incredibly clear. For picture quality alone I would buy this TV over and over (and over) again.
We have this TV in a very bright room and there are no issues watching in the middle of the day; no glare at all, even when the sun is shining directly on the TV wall. The remote is also great; it has all the functions you need and does not take up the entire coffee table like most do. The keyboard on the back is awesome for those that use any Smart TV features, though I do wish the front of the remote had the same back-lighting that the keyboard does.
Smart TV functionality is incredibly useful and the upgraded WiFi makes a HUGE difference in connectivity distance and reliability. Netflix comes up immediately every single time, content loads 100 times faster than our old TV and we have yet to get the spinning red "loading" circle even once while watching movies. The only drawback is the lack of a web browser, but that was not big for me since I rarely used it on the old unit. That's what the Mac and iPad are for!
We do have an issue with our Optical connection; for some reason the Optical input will not stay in the jack, but a piece of electrical tape cured that temporarily so we can use the sound bar. Other than than that, no issues with the unit.
Bottom line? Go get one. It may not be the prettiest to look at when its turned off, but if that matters then you might be buying a TV for the wrong reason, and you likely don't mind spending 3 to 5 times the price of this unit for similar (or worse) picture quality.

This TV is wonderful. I personally mulled over my options for 5 weeks before I made my decision. Only chose this model because I needed the extra 5'. There are many better options in the 55' range at this same price point (Samsung/Sony). Cheap to operate. Beautiful color and contrast. Amazing refresh rate. Easy to use. QWERTY keyboard on remote is awesome. Now just waiting for more 4k content to become available.

I have had this TV for about 2 months now and I couldn't be more thrilled with it. The picture quality is incredible. It takes some work to get the picture just right, but I think it really looks amazing now. 4k works great. Apps work great. Remote is great. PS4 looks fantastic and smooth. I really don't have any complaints at this time. I would definitely buy again.

Spent a lot of time looking for a mid to upper-mid range 1080 TV. Went back and forth a lot (mostly between various Samsungs, Vizio E, and Vizio M) and eventually settled on the M because of the range and quality of features at the price point.
1080 quality is fantastic, very clean and smooth look and operation of the TV and software. Haven't had the chance to use 4k yet, but I just take that as a bonus feature. Was not necessarily looking for 4k.
If I have one complaint, it's that there is no integrated web browser.

Would highly recommend this TV. No its not the top of the line but it's certainly not the bottom of the barrel by any means. Clear picture, easy-to-use menu, simple setup screens, and surprisingly not too heavy when lifting. Neat touch on the remote, loving the keyboard on the back. Although, sometimes buttons can get accidentally pressed on the opposite side. Very satisfied with the TV though!

I initially bought the smaller version of this TV at another box store, but returned it as it looked too small on my wall. The other store didn't have the 60" in stock, so I went to Best Buy. The price was a little higher, but the Law of Immediacy dictated I have the product NOW!!
I have owned Vizios in the past and one thing that bothered me was the time it took from power on to actually seeing a picture and hearing audio. Luckily, this seems to have been fixed in this model. Picture quality is great (although I haven't gotten to test true 4K yet) and audio from the TV is decent as well. Smart functions are good - I have Netflix and Amazon Prime, but would have liked to have Prime Music as well...
Overall, I'd buy the TV again. It's good for the mid-range price point

I have had this television close to a month now and it is wonderful. Great picture out of the box! Easy to set up (need two people). We mounted ours on the wall using existing wall mount. Pre installed apps are fine. We use Youtube and Amazon for movies quite a bit. I love the remote control with a keyboard on the bottom.
I recommend this television and for the price-you can't beat it!

This is a great purchase for the price. I did my research and was about to purchase an LG but then I stumbled across this Vizio. Man, am I so glad I got this TV. Great picture right out of the box, I read all the other reviews about color settings but I did not change anything because it was perfect for my taste. Even the sound quality was not that bad, I have since connected it to my home theater system.

I bought this on sale for $999 right before the Super Bowl. It took a bit of messing with the settings to get the color and picture to look good (thank you rtings.com for the detailed picture settings advice), but once I spent some time tweaking those, it looks great. It's in a pretty dark room (our basement). We've used it for HD TV, streaming via an Amazon FireTV, Xbox One, and streaming from the built in Smart features. 1080p content looks really good (Comcast HD box, Amazon Fire non-4K, and Xbox One). 1080i content from our old TV provider (Dish Network) didn't look great, but it never looked great on any of our TVs, so I blame that on the quality of the signal from Dish. 4K content from Amazon through the built in Smart browser looks amazing. Our Netflix subscription caps at 1080p, so I haven't tried Netflix 4k. We also haven't played a BluRay on it yet, but I'd imagine that would look fantastic too. If you can find this TV for around $1000, it's a great buy.

Great tv for the price compared to the other big brands that cost a lot more for the same features like back lite zones and 240 HZ refresh rate and the lip sinc adjustment is great for streaming and Apple TV.

nice 4k for the price very good picture. no 3d and few smart apps but I didn't buy it for that. only problem is you have to sit in front to get the best viewing angle. If you are looking for a good 4k for a great price this is it. also great for sports and video games

So I don't have the pocket change to afford an LG OLED 4K TV, what's a guy to do? Vizio has a price/performance ratio that's hard to resist. I'm not going to go into great detail on all the performance attributes of this M60-C3 TV, but I'll touch on a few highlights and point out the most significant deficiency TO ME that keeps it from a 5 star rating.
The good: Price! Especially as I got it on sale. Good reviews from multiple review sites. This multi-zone local dimming set really does an excellent job with black levels on most scenes - that gives you the contrast ratio that really makes watching video with dark scenes very satisfying. Very svelte looking/small bezel - screen almost goes to the edge! Note that the feet are placed very wide - the TV wouldn't fit on my entertainment center!
Must do: at a minimum you must calibrate the contrast/brightness/color/tint settings. This set has a CMS setting that allows you to disable red and green so you get get very accurate color/tint levels.
The not so good: Color hue for RED. As a number have pointed out on forums like avscience, it seems that these sets can't quite hit full red saturation/hue per rec.709 (the HD) specifications. I did do the CMS color reset procedure and it did seem to help some. I have an older colorimeter and software to do a full calibration, but the meter has drifted and now I need a new one. Blues and Greens are pretty good and most will really like them on this set. I'm just highly disappointed that Vizio would even consider cheaping out on this M-series set with its (red) color gamut limitations :-(
I'm a bit of a video perfectionist, but once you see accurately calibrated displays its hard to not notice it, especially on this 4K UHD TV that does so many other things so well for the money. I still recommend this TV, but I highly recommend getting it calibrated to get the most out of it.

The TV works great and looks great. I don't have any 4K content, but 1080p Blu-rays looks great (of course), but so do DVDs at 720p and 480p. The menus are easy to navigate and all of the advanced features are easy to find. The analog and digital audio outputs work well and make it easy to send your audio to a stereo or headphones. I send my digital output to the stereo and the analog to a transmitter I can use with wireless headphones. There are 5 HDMI inputs and a single component input (the red/blue/green input). If you want composite input (the single yellow input for, say, a VCR) you'll need to get a converter.
The built-in apps are also useful. We can stream more quickly than having to steam through a second device. The TV can use either wired or WiFi for internet access. The remote has a keyboard which makes setup easier than trying to enter text with a simple remote. My only small gripe is that a few of the apps (from Yahoo I think) are inconsistent with how text input works. Example: sometimes the backspace button works as backspace, and sometimes not. Or sometimes the SHIFT button works, and sometimes it doesn't. It depends on the app. The Netflix app also didn't work at first, but then started working. I think it was updating (silently) and worked once it was updated. I've had no problems with it since (2 months now).
The Best Buy experience was also very good. Best Buy had free shipping *and* would haul away and recycle my old TV (and I mean OLD). No one else would do that last part. The delivery process went smoothly and the techs were friendly. There was a price drop a few days later and Best Buy matched the price with no hassle, too.

What I found most impressive was the picture quality of this TV. When watching channels in HD, the picture is simply stunning in clarity and detail. The ease of set up was very intuitive and user friendly. I was considering more expensive televisions than this one, but after seeing them side by side in the store in comparison not only do I think this one is just as good as more expensive brands, but I actually think that the picture and ease of use is actually better. I am very satisfied thus far with this purchase.

I had been researching TVs for a while, we we're moving, so waiting paid off. I knew the M-series was being updated and after buying it, it's gotten Editor's Choice from Reviewed.com and 4 stars from CNET. We went to Best Buy for this Vizio, impulse bought a Samsung and ended up returning it for the original TV we wanted.
We have an older Vizio 32" M-series (B1) for the master bedroom and the processor in this blows that TV away. I am so glad we waited to buy the big one. There is no waiting for Netflix and Hulu to start, it is nearly instant.
The remote hasn't been updated, so just the back keyboard lights up, not the front, that would be the icing on the cake for this TV. We do plan to supplement with a sound bar (Vizio most likely), but the sound by itself is plenty loud for the space we have.
The picture is clear, colors are good and we haven't even attempted to calibrate yet. A 4K TV wasn't on our radar at all, this just ended up being a bonus in the new M-Series models for us. The main reason the Samsung went back is it lacked the PLEX app (home media server software). It was also a few hundred more, so saving money was a plus there. We demoed the PLEX app in-store on another Samsung TV to make sure it was available, but getting our TV home, the OS was not the same as the TV in-store as our sales person led us to believe. I hadn't done as much research on that specific Samsung, but I knew they were in the midst of an OS switch.
The Vizio got knocked on CNET for it's mundane design, but that's not very important to us. It looks much better than our old TV anyway. We plan to buy a wall mount for it as well. Either way, we ended up liking the UI for the Vizio better than the Samsung and are super happy with our purchase. Highly recommended for the price!
**We bought an open-box model, used a mover's coupon and it was a steal!**

First off I am going to say that for the price this is a awesome television. At a 240 true refresh rate everything from 4k content streamed on built in Netflix or YouTube apps to standard DVD movies played from a Playstation 3. The only downside sides are the lack of content from the yahoo os and the inability to cast from my phone or tablet. There is a dnla option but it will only allow the sharing of pictures and videos saved from your gallery but not video games or streaming apps. Picture out of the box is great but looks outstanding after having it tuned with the wow Disney Blu ray I highly recommend purchasing. All in all great purchase.
