After researching I decided to go with the Vizio 4k...very happy with the picture so far (only had for 2 months) was torn between the Vizio vs the Sony 850... The Sony seemed to have a little more vivid picture, and has more colors with the triluminios display, but was $500 more. Decided to get the Vizio and spend the extra cash on the matching Vizio soundbar (get the 5.1 soundbar with wireless back speakers) in fact get a soundbar with any new 4k tv....due to the thinness on today's tv, there are no room for speakers, so the sound quality of just the tv 's are just plain awful. So far I'm very happy with the tv...but every once in awhile, I wonder if the Sony was worth the extra $$$$....but I have no buyers remorse at all with the Vizio....

My wife and I decided it was time for a bigger TV in the living room as we wanted to move our 50in plasma Samsung into the bedroom. We started by going to Best Buy and looking at the TVs in person then going online to read the reviews. For the size and price I knew this was the TV I wanted. My wife was on the fence because Best Buy had the D series on sale for Black Friday. I explained how this TV had more dimming panels, making it the better TV. That didn't swing her thoughts one bit because she was just looking at the price. I asked her to go to Best Buy with me to go look at the TV in person. I got lucky because they had an open box only a few hundred dollars more than the D series. I had finally won her over. Since we have bought the TV we have been so impressed we are looking at buying a 43in M series for the study. And a 50in M series for the bedroom. You really can't beat the Vizio M series quality for the price right now!

Our first tv was not outputting 1080i, just 1080p. After going the rounds with geek squad, they finally replaced it and things are working great. Turns out we had a bad port and needed a new tv so be certain that you check all ports and features within the return time period. It looks nice, the picture is great, and it was much less expensive than the Samsung equivalent-without compromising features or picture quality.

Very happy with this TV. When comparing to more expensive 4k tv's, the Visio was a no brainier. Only regret is it is now on sale for $150 less than when I bought mine.

I think this is a solid TV for the price point. I love the remote with the keyboard on the back. The picture is great. Obviously it's no Sony as far as the picture goes, but it's also half the price. And unless you're some kind of tv aficionado, you'll be satisfied with this picture. Sidenote: on my first tv, the HDMI 1 port stopped working after only a week. Best Buy was awesome and had a new tv delivered to my house for free and took the old one back. No hassle whatsoever. So while I'm a little leary of something going wrong with this new tv, I've had it a month with no issues.

I have some issues with the "soap opera" effect and jitter, but nothing tweaking the settings didn't fix. Not much 4k content out yet, and what is available now on Amazon/Netflix/Youtube doesn't really interest me. Older SD content from old VHS home moves doesn't look that great (but did it ever...?), and apparently that is due to Vizio not really excelling with lower resolutions. Xbox One games (specifically Batman Arkham Knight and Halo) look amazing, and so do football games and other standard 1080/720 content. Good blacks, contrast, color settings (research settings for the model number and use that as a base), app select and overall aesthetics. I was a little skeptical at first after reading different reviews online, however, I am by no means a video expert, and the little negatives I read do not even show up to me. My advice: If you are a general, run of the mill consumer, looking for a great TV at a great price - get this TV. If you are a person who will intentionally look for negatives - spend a few extra thousand $ and get a different set.

This is a big step up for me as I went from a 50" rear projection HD set to this 65" Vizio 4K TV. The apps and picture quality on this set are both fantastic. Highly recommend this set.

I am really enjoying my new 65" Visio 4K TV and have had no issues whatsoever. Cable sources look better than before, but where this TV really shines is with gaming, Blu-Ray upconversion and 4K sources. I highly recommend this TV!

I bought this tv on an open box deal and could not be happier. The tv is great. The picture is clear and the sound is good. Easy set up and the remote is cool with the key board on one side and the other functions on the other.

Picture and features given the price point are excellent. We have two other M series Vizio Ultra HDTVs (as well as Samsung HDTVs, non-Ultra 4k however) and they are all excellent. The pictures are very good. Yes, from very wide angles the picture fades a bit but, in my experience, only plasmas truly conquer this issue. The fact that a user has no control over firmware/software updates may be a problem for some but it isn't for me, as I almost always update to the latest firmware as soon as it is available. The very slim bezel is nice. We replaced a 55" Samsung plamsa with this 65" Vizio and the dimensions are very similar; yet we gained 10" of viewing screen.. We used the same wall-mount that we used for the Samsung and it fits to the wall almost the same - we lost almost nothing in terms of flexibility due to dimensional differences. The picture is excellent, as good, if not better than the plasma it replaced. Setup is easy and the internet-enabled apps are more than enough for us. We are very pleased (as noted by our purchasing of three different sizes of the same line of Vizio product).

The sales experience was good mostly. Bought in store in Fairfax VA. TV was delivered. I installed myself on home mount. Out of box the colors are good, but I looked up a color calibration and set up from CNET and it looks really good now. Only took about 20 mins. Sound quality is ok but I paired with a sound bar. Menu is quick and responds well. Wifi is quick. No problem streaming netflix. A solid purchase for the money spend.

Fantastic picture, very good features. Only down side is the floating sound. It is not that bad and after more than a month we have that part adjusted pretty well. Next were getting a sound bar anyway and that seems to be the best fix. HD Fios comes in at 720 and is a great picture. Go to Blue Ray or Netflix 4K and OMG it's like looking through a window as opposed to a TV.

Due to a lightening strike I suddenly became in the market for a new one. We went to our local Best Buy and looked at all the offerings. The salesman was very patient with us. I knew I wanted a smart tv at least 65". The salesman showed us a variety of offerings. We selected the Vizio based on all its features and price. The picture is unbelievable. Clear and crisp. Angle viewing is fantastic. Sound is great but we added a great sound system. I am completely pleases with this TV, with the service and the installation. You can't go wrong with this TV.

Hands down best TV for the money! Picture quality and advanced technology five stars! As a former Samsung, Panasonic hitech snob I now own two Vizio's and have to say they are as good and in some cases even better. The picture is crystal clear with LED and 4K Ultra the clarity is terrific. And the best part is you don't have to pay the high cost of the other name brands to get as good technology.
