I GOT THIS TV AFTER READING SOME OF THE 600 & MORE REVIEWS ON HERE AND I,M GLAD I DID I ALWAYS BUY VIZIO,S AND THIS ONE IS THE BEST, THE GREAT QUALITY IS AWESOMENESS WRAP IN A TV, THE CLARITY, COLOR, THE EASE OF USE, I HAD THE GEEK SQUAD PUT IT UP FOR ME I DIDN,T WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES TO DO IT MYSELF. SO NOW I,M ON TO A SOUND BAR THAT,S MY NEXT ITEM TO BUY AND I,M ALSO GOING TO BUY THE $200 TO GET THE GEEK SQUAD FOR ANY TIME I NEED THEM I ONLY HAVE TO PAY $49.99 FOR WHATEVER I NEED TO HAVE DONE FOR A YEAR, IT,S WELL WORTH IT TOO.

I purchased this TV in April 2019 pretty quickly to replace a 46" Sony Bravia XBR 2. That served me well for nearly 15 years but died unexpectedly. Having owned two other recent vizio smaller sets and knowing their quality firsthand as well as the general reviews and praise of the AV community I decided to go with the P64-F1 for the great price point and quality as well as the right size. First off this TV is BIG. Especially coming from a 46". Make sure you measure the angled fork feet for the width of your tv stand if you're not mounting. They point outwards and unlike other previous Vizio models you can't reverse them to point in likely because it needs the added stability for the size of this set. The picture quality is excellent, deep blacks and super bright. You'll have no issue in a bright sun flooded room. The viewing angle can suffer a little at sharp angles but if you're mostly viewing head on you're fine. The menus and casting all work easily. A favorite feature is thst you can set a specific picture mode to an input so I always have gaming mode activated for my PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo switch inputs. TV boots quickly, casting and setup was easy. The smart TV apps for Netflix, plex and Amazon prime all worked well enough I didn't need to resort to my ps4 or roku for streaming like usual. Set also works well with Logitech Harmony smart universal remote system. Have even hooked it up to my Alexa and Google Home for on/off, mute and volume functionality. Only complaint might be the speakers as they're down and rear firing I believe it's a lot softer than my previous set heuchbhad front firing speakers around the entire perimeter. You basically have to notch it up 10 volume levels more and it's acceptable. Really meant to be used with a soundbar or 3.1/5.1 system though. Lastly the price increase for the newer Q-series (Quantum Dot display) wasn't worth it in my experience. If it drops to the price level of this set (799 to 1k from its current 1600) maybe with the arrival of 2019 sets like the G-series. Highly recommend as I've put about 75 hours of gaming, TV and movies into this set and have been very happy.

I really like this TV. I don't think there's another panel available with this level of features for the money. I purchased this TV last Friday and have been watching in the past couple of days. Unfortunately I just packed it up to return it due to abysmal screen uniformity and "dirty screen effect." Based on all the other reviews that I have read (both critics and customer) I believe that I got a TV that isn't representative of the normal quality associated with this model. HDR looks great and the picture quality is exactly what I'm looking for. The problem I have is with solid backgrounds or panning shots when the uniformity issues are seriously visible. The final straw was watching skiing this morning and the DSE was too much to bear and I packed it back up. I have calibrated the TV using a combination of different sources online to get a picture I was happy with. I'll update this review once I get a new TV to see if it has the same issues. I took a photo and attached it to this review. I took it in such a way as to not exaggerate the problem. I would say that the attached image is representative of how it looks to my eye. I can't recommend the TV at this point in time, but I'll gladly update that pending my experience with a replacement.

I did a lot of research. As my wife and I are movie buffs. I’m a heavy gamer, play daily. So I’ve had a lot of led tvs. My vizios have been the least trouble. So when I needed to go smaller than a 75, moving. I started looking at the p series’s. Now if you get one, do your home work or pay someone to professionally set it up. I did ok, however the $100, made it so much clear and life like. I am buying another for my bedroom, to replace my LG. The 2nd pic I’ve shared is a 1989 movie, the 1st is current 2018 4K uhd. You can hardly tell age difference between shows. Game quality is even better. Also if you have someone set up your tv. Make sure all out puts are tuned by them. Someone may say I’ve tuned all mine before. Just know this tv tunes by your region and light quality of the area. I wanted a extra 3 weeks to do the review. My wife didn’t understand what the cost difference was 700 versus 1600. NOW she does. I totally recommend this tv. I even stood there and looked at TVs that were half the price, and thought is it really worth. YES SIR IT IS.

Let me start off by saying for what I paid for this TV on Black Friday was well worth it considering the picture quality. Streaming, Blu-rays and live tv look amazing. There are a couple concerns however. The audio or lip-synching is off a lot of the time and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using the left right audio out cables due to my surround sound limitations. I’ve tweaked as much as I can and it’s not spot on. I’m also wondering if it’s because I’m streaming most times. My next concern would be after the TV is on for about an hour or so, the heat expansion makes a few things pop a few times. Nothing detrimental but very strange that it would happen at all. The same thing happens if the TV has been off for a while. I’ve read a few things about it and I really don’t want to have to exchange the TV. It’s not that big of a deal but the pop is loud. Overall the price of the TV is amazing for what you get.

Purchased this television to go along with my Xbox One X and a Onkyo Dolby Atmos A/V receiver the picture on this set is second to none easy to use has great apps and Vizio smart cast is great

I just upgraded from an older Vizio tv and it’s like I just put on a new pair of glasses! The picture is share and clear. The brightness is awesome I I’ve this TV

For the money and the features you get for this TV its a pretty good deal, I think I may have just gotten a bad one. Off the bat, I was blown away by the picture. Setup was a breeze. I started playing Red Dead 2 and I started noticing a "halo effect" or "light rings" in the middle of the screen. I thought it was my cable(s) or the input so I changed it around & swapped out and even tested my Xbox One to rule out hardware problems. I started doing monitor tests so I could see more clearly what exactly the issue was. I then notice a bunch of faint circles in the middle of the screen. Almost like this TV has a bad array. I tried messing around with settings thinking maybe I had something turned up too high/low but same results. It was extremely noticeable and distracting. I attached a picture while running the monitor tests. You'll notice the faint rings in the middle left/right on screen (ignore the two white spots thats my ceiling light). It was also an ordeal to get my PS4 Pro to get recognize the TV as being HDR even when I have it turned on in the TV input menu. I had to safe mode the PS4 Pro, in order for HDR to work I'm not sure if this is a resolution problem? I ended up returning this TV and spent the extra money on the Sony X850f and don't regret it. The Sony also did NOT have the HDR issue as the Vizio did. Don't let my review scare you away, especially if you're on a budget. As I mentioned, I could of just gotten a bad one. If you do end up purchasing this, make sure you do thorough monitor testing as soon as you can.

Excellent 4k for the price. Aesthetically pleasing. Great motion handling, deep blacks, very bright, vibrant colors, low input lag for gaming. The OS could use improvements, but not a deal breaker. Note - stands have a wide footprint and you will need a wide stand if not being wall mounted. Use a sound bar as the TV speakers are not great, just like almost every other mid range TV out now.

The professional ratings and reviews you'll find online for this TV don't lie, Vizio has definitely gone high end with this series but they still somehow manage to beat the competition in price at the same time.

TV is very bright with fantastic color really struggles with black though, and remote is very clunky and slow.

The picture on this TV is wonderful. I can’t afford to spend $4000 on a big fancy TV, but honestly I can’t tell the difference between this one and the high priced ones. Picture quality is amazing and I love all the extra features.

Picked this up the day before the Super Bowl on sale. Went from a 55” 2017 Samsung MU6290 to a 65” Vizio P65-F1. Picture is amazing!

Located in Irvine California, Visio entered the flat panel TV market by contracting various established TV manufacturers to build TVs to their specifications. With this relatively low up-front investment they were able to enter the market with TVs that got everyone’s attention with their reasonable performance, but amazingly affordable prices. This has obviously been very successful for Visio over the years, but operating at the lower margin end of the business is not where they wanted to stay. The new P series from Visio is their first push into the higher feature and performance levels previously occupied by only the top manufacturers like Sony and Samsung. The P series TVs occupy a higher price point than earlier Visio models, but they are still very affordable compared to the big names. Before moving my Visio 65” Model P to its permanent location I temporarily set it on the floor in front of a 6 month old Sony 75” Model 900E that was mounted on the wall. I have included a picture of that setup but it is important to know that the lower screen in the picture is 4’ closer than the upper screen. Both TVs are hooked up to the same roof-mounted antenna via a splitter. The Over the Air (OTA) signal is coming from a farm of 4 Transmitter Towers 35 miles away. Unlike a store display room where every screen is running from a different source to make direct comparison difficult, this setup allows skin tones, color saturation and picture details to be studied. Out of the box the Visio P was much brighter and a bit too vivid even on the “Normal” setting. However, the Visio offers many different automatic screen modes as well as a manual setup mode that lets every aspect of color, contrast and saturation to be individually adjusted. It’s not a good as the human eye actually being there, but you can see in the attached picture that the Visio picture was every bit a pleasing as the much more expensive Sony picture. Nothing is perfect however so here are some Pros and Cons; PROS: - The Price. If you masked off everything but the picture screen, I personally would not have been able to tell which of my TVs was almost twice as expensive (mainly due to screen size). If you’re not influenced by brand prestige, the Visio is the obvious choice. - The Visio P series has almost every high end 4K feature available. From Full Active Array Backlighting, to HDR10 Dolby Vision, to Smart (Chrome) Cast, to built in Apps like YouTube, Netflix and Amazon, to Ultra Bright 1000 Nit peak brightness, the Visio P series is up there with the best LCD displays. - The narrow bezels and overall thin depth of the Visio P series makes these TVs an attractive addition to any Home Theater or Living Room. CONS: - Although it has an Over-the-Air tuner, that tuner is not a sensitive as others. When hooked up to the same antenna, the Visio received fewer channels than my other TV. However, this is only an issue when receiving signals through an antenna from a distant transmitter. If the Visio is hooked up to a good antenna and the transmitter is 10 miles away or closer, the signal will always be so strong that tuner sensitivity is not an issue. If you are using a cable company’s box, then you would be feeding the Visio via one of its 5 HDMI inlet connections instead of the TV’s coaxial antenna connection, thus bypassing the internal tuner altogether. - The stereo speakers on the Visio P series TV are fair, but not equal to the quality of the picture. A TV of this caliber deserves a real 7.2 Surround Sound receiver and speaker array, so the low power and quality of speakers imbedded in the narrow bezels of this TV are best left switched off. CONCLUSION: - The Visio P series shows Visio’s plan for the future. Stage one was getting themselves noticed with competent TV models and amazing prices. Now that their brand is established, they are going after the big boys and the P series is just the beginning.

This is the first Vizio product that I have ever owned and it sure won't be the last from this experience with the 2018 P-Series line... Coming from an avid LG customer, I am very impressed at the level of quality and features packed into this latest Vizio offering. The very first thing I noticed is how elegant the P-Series is (This thing is a looker!) and how slim the bezel(s) are... It's very similar to the Infinity displays that Dell is offering in it's XPS lineup. The initial setup was a bit longer than I had expected. What I mean by that is that after selecting the typical setup options, I had to wait a good 20 minutes for it to download and update itself before being able to use it, while it's not a big deal since it is a Smart TV, it's good for future buyers to know... After the initial setup and updating, I had my very first experience with the SmartCast OS. From being used to dealing with the WebOS from LG, The SmartCast is about up to par with the apps department. The main apps (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Plex, Crackle and Youtube) are available naively within SmartCast, but like most current TV that has built-in Chromecast. It is heavily dependent on the casting. So in order to use an app that's not available on SmartCast, you can just cast it off the app via mobile device(s). While it's a perk and expands the TV to more devices... I find not being able to re-arrange or remove unused apps a bit annoying... it's the little things. Visually, this TV shines! It is clear and bright at the vivid setting. I can visually see the brightness difference from my 4K LG to this one. Dolby Vision paired with a Dolby Atmos soundbar is amazing! With 5 HDMI inputs available, I currently have my Playstation 4 Pro, Xbox One S, Alienware Alpha and Apple TV 4K connected to the TV with an LG Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar via optical cable. While my gaming looks amazing, the PC connection did not as it was way too bright. This is a minor issue as switching over to the PC settings helped with the issue. I kinda wish there was an preset I can set so when I switch inputs it would change the setting with it. Maybe in a future update? Maybe... Overall, for the retail of $1300, this thing is a steal! While I know the TCL has a comparable model as well for cheaper, I find that as the years goes by Vizio is upping their game in the competitive TV market. You gotta ask yourself if you think buying from a bigger brand (i.e. Sony, Samsung, LG) is worth more for the name only. I'm a logical guy who looks into specs and compares them to other brands... at the end of the day, OLED are super nice, but since I wear glasses... I see the world through filtered lens. TLDR: My TV had flickering lines, had it replaced, and the replacement had the same issue PLUS network issues. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Vizio P65-F1 as my new TV. In fact, I was *this* close to going with an LG SK8000 instead which was slightly cheaper at the time of my comparison. Boy do I regret changing my mind... The Vizio looks great and outperforms the LG in pretty much every way aside from viewing angles (which is why I almost went with the LG). Unfortunately, after some time, I started seeing these flickering lines (as seen in the top/middle of the attached image) appearing during use. I did a search for the issue and discovered numerous posts on various forums regarding this problem. I tried everything to make the issue go away and rule out components/cables/ports as the cause; known good cables, known good devices, changing various settings on both the TV and components in use. For the record, if you have this problem, know that the issue even shows up when streaming from the TV's internal apps (which is the easiest way to pinpoint a problem with the TV itself and I don't know why I didn't just do that first). So, I contacted Vizio once I was 100% certain the problem was with the TV itself and nothing I could do would make it go away. They gave me the usual "try this, try that, if all else fails, put in a service request at this link." After some time fighting with their website to set up a service request, I had a representative put in the request for me since I was unable to do so (tried Chrome, IE, and Firefox on PC, Safari and Chrome on a Mac, and Chrome on my phone... none worked). After about 9 business days (about two weeks in reality) the replacement TV was finally ready to be delivered. I had it replaced on a Friday and by Sunday the flickering lines started showing on this unit too. At this point, I decided to check one last time to make sure the issue is with the TV and not anything else. So, I loaded up Netflix from the TV itself. After a few seconds, the network cuts out. You gotta be kidding me. Is the cable loose? Nope, but I'll re-seat it anyway. Still happening. Did a search and what do you know, other people have this issue too. I'm at a loss here as to how these products with such a high price tag are making it into the hands of the consumer without being tested. Worse, you wouldn't know these issues even exist unless you know to search for them which would only happen if you're experiencing them. Now I'll have to take another day off work for the next replacement, but more importantly, I have to go another 2 weeks dealing with the flickering lines. Not to mention, I'm now well past the return date for Best Buy. My only hope is that people thinking about buying this model will read my cautionary tale first and go with something else. It's really a shame because issues aside, I'm very happy with the quality of the image produced by the TV. Here's hoping my next replacement doesn't have any issues...

Had it a week so far no complaints, Would have gave it a five star ,but have like I said only had it a week. Can’t say much about the TVs speakers because who uses tv speakers on a tv like this . See the pic below “WOW”

Good price. Good delivery. Awkward packaging (difficult to remove from box). Great TV picture for a few weeks, then started noticing a grey shadow area one day, that seemed to grow with use! Reached out to Best Buy, but as we'd had the product for more than 15 days there is nothing they can do. Vizio only offers refunds, so now we're having to re-pack the unit (thanks goodness we kept the box!) and wait 4-6 weeks for a refund in the mail.
