I've had this T.V. for abut a week now. I must say that I really didn't care for the out of the box settings. It took me a few days to get the picture to my liking, but once I did, all I can say is wow. Directv looks great, Netflix and other apps that stream in 4k, HDR, and Dolby vision is unbelievable. The picture really pops off the screen. So colorful and bright. The blacks look awesome with all of the local dimming zones. I watched the dark night on netflix, and it was incredible how inky the dark scenes were. One tip I can give you, is to turn the brightness down. With it on the normal settings, the picture looks a little cloudy. Turn the back light, contrast and color up to your liking. One great feature is you can have different settings for different situations, and then name them so they are easy to find. The smart features work fine for me. I know a lot of people complain about it lagging, but it doesn't seem that bad, and really doesn't affect the overall experience. I say you really can't go wrong with this T.V. It's picture quality rivals some of the much more expensive brands, and it has some really awesome features.

OLED quality picture - issues with first unit

I bought this TV as a black Friday special as the Best Buy price met all other online pricing. The first unit I got had several issues including the Netflix app not loading at all, Intermittent on/off functionality, wi-fi drops and a few other things (yes, I did a complete factory reset - TWICE). BUT, the picture was so incredible, I chose to do an exchange and get a 2nd unit (instead of going for the TCL 65R625). The 2nd unit works just fine. The picture quality of "Quantum" (or QLED as Samsung and others call it) definately rivals OLED for a much cheaper price (about 50% less). In a semi-dark room with the picture in the "calibrated-dark" mode, the black areas are true black. The dynamic (with the localized LED black lighting) contrast ratio is listed as 5,000,000:1. This may as well be infinate (like OLED panels) as you can't see even a hint of light in the areas that are supposed to be completely black. The color accuracy seems to be excellent and the display has a very low lag time (when playing games). The only complaint about this display (and ALL VA type panels) is that the viewing angles are relatively small. Off axis viewing degrades. At 8 feet away ('vertically') you could be away from the centerline of the screen ('horizontally') about 6-8 feet and still get a good picture. If you don't mind the chance of getting a dud unit and don't mind a smaller viewing area (for optimal picture quality) - You can't find a quality better piture for the price. I love the quality of this product, I’ve been messing with Vizio for a decade and have never had issues with them. The picture on this tv is amazing and it’s lightweight compared to others to it looks amazing on my wall. My only complaint is the software, the initial set up takes forever and I think that’s a thing with the new Vizio TVs since I also bought a 2019 V series and it also took forever, after that tho it works great! Lots of apps built in but the downside is I can’t download; Spotify, HBO or Apple to it. Everything else seems available tho even DAZN. Picture wise tho it amazing! Especially for the price of other TVs of this caliber

My last TV was a superbowl special that was a bit washed out. This TV fixed all my issue. Good black levels, high refresh rate, 4K, Google Cast, Apple Airplay, dimming zones. It best to get an external STB because Vizio Smartcast is slow. I recommend the Roku Ultra because of how easy it is to use. Just make sure you get a HDMI cable rated for 4K.

Love this tv, the blacks are astounding! Compared to the tv it’s replaced (an old Walmart brand), the results are night and day. I put What We Do In The Shadows on each screen and was shocked to see that the wallpaper that’s hidden in shadow all the time has a pattern that I’d never seen before. This is a great tv for the price. I noticed picture quality is also better if you use the tv’s native apps as opposed to a streaming stick. The smart tv part is, of course, very slow which is annoying but expected.

Great tv. Picture quality is very good. Originally bought the M658 series and that was very good too but lacked the pop and brightness I was looking for. Had a little blooming but not too much. The only thing I noticed and why I gave it 4 stars is there is some motion judder which can be corrected with the settings but then you are locked into the soap opera effect. The Design of the frame is excellent. Yes the apps are a little slow but that is not a big deal for me. For under a grand this is the best out there in my opinion with the Hisense hf9 a close second.

I really wanted to love this TV. For the price and the features you get with it, it is outstanding. Color is punchy and pops and looks great. Motion handling also seems pretty good, didnt notice any issues with it. HDR looks spectacular. I am using calibrated mode for all inputs with default settings. For the bad: 1. Sound is abysmal. If you buy this TV, you need to also buy a sound bar. 2. Vizio Smart Cast is borderline unusable. You cant add apps, and navigation is frustratingly sluggish. If you buy this TV, you also need to buy a Roku (and lose dolby vision) or apple tv/amazon fire stick. 3. Upscaling is horrible. Cable TV looks like 480p. No matter what noise reduction or sharpness you use, it looks absolutely like trash. I replaced a 2018 NU8000 with this TV, and you cant even compare the upscaling between the two. The vizio is extremely jagged and has a ton of artifacting. On the samsung, it looked near 4k. My cable signal is set to 1080p. Upscaling of 1080 streaming content, however has no issues. 4. Background flicker. I was watching shazam last night and in the background, on walls, etc all I could see was flicker. It was really distracting. It seemed anything that had any sort of texture on it was flickering. Really strange. I was in the market for a 55inch Sony 950g, or a 55inch Samsung Q70, and I think the Vizio is going back for one of them.

Hello saiyanzzrage, thank you for your feedback. To address a couple of your statements we are continually evaluating new applications for addition to the SmartCast screen. In the meantime, you can cast any Chromecast enabled applications to the television from your mobile device. few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that your source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture settings that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room, try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room, try Calibrated Dark. Please contact our customer support at 877-878-4946 for assistance with your television. I had been eyeing things TV for a while. Caught a deal on it and finally got it home. I had a Vizio E Series before and this P series just blows me away. Beautiful colors, bright picture, and really good black levels. The operating system leaves a lot to be desired but just use a streaming box to make this set a perfect choice.

My 8 year old Samsung plasma Tv quit last week which I bought for $3000 in 2011. I had Samsung brand Tv’s several which I liked somehow. This time while I was shopping for a new one, I came across the reviews on this Vizio Tv. I went to Bestbuy to see the performance of this Tv. I was so amazed that how good the pictures on this tv compared with the expensive Samsung Qleds. This Tv is lot more cheaper than the Samsung and has everything you want in a smart Tv. The Vizio cast is not that great but a cheap Fire stick tv will do the trick. I have this Tv only for 1 week and I loved it. I took a 5 year Best Buy warranty that is excellent compared with their competitors. 5 star for Vizio to make this excellent Tv this cheap.

I recently paid $1200 for this TV and was actually able to get it price matched for another sale down more to $999, so I’ve really gotta say the value itself is an 11/10. The picture is great, the color is amazing and really pops where the blacks look like the TV’s simply off, especially the higher you go with the “full array (the local dimming zones);” I don’t know if the Quantum X (which — at the time of writing this review — is still $1399 vs the updated price of $1099 of the non-X model) is worth the price leap to be honest. The only thing that might be fixed by the doubled local dimming zones is perhaps a slight halo effect when the Local Dimming is set to High, where if you slightly turn the setting down to Medium or even Low, better yet, the halo is almost nonexistent. Couldn’t praise the TV more after a month with it, and I know it’ll perform absolutely above and beyond 95% of people’s expectations. Especially excited for next-gen consoles to really bring some properly rendered 4K at higher FPS so I can witness this TV’s potential.

This is an excellent TV at an excellent price Pros: Rich, popping color even in 8-bit mode High refresh rate with compatible HDMI cable and the proper output device Excellent local-dimming with deep deep black levels Very bright backlighting for great SDR or HDR content Plenty of options to customize sound, color, contrast, tint, white-balance, etc... the normal TV stuff. Low-latency mode for gaming. Makes a big difference. Feet can be swapped to narrow the needed table space (if not mounting). Cons: Color is slightly less vivid when running in 120Hz mode. I usually keep the TV at 60 for a solid gaming experience at 4K with my 3080 and everything set as high as possible. Sound quality was actually more crisp and rich from the previous version. Conclusion: If you can pick one up on sale like I did... duh. Get it.

Overall, this TV is a great value for what it delivers, especially if you can get it on sale (I got it on Black Friday). The picture quality is fantastic at this price point. Although we were initially after an OLED TV, we could not justify the cost difference when comparing the two (the OLED was more than 2x as much). Side-by-side in the store there is a slight difference in picture quality, most notably in the black area, but at home what difference does it make (I don’t have two TV’s side-by-side to compare it). For the money, this TV more than delivers. I would definitely buy this one again. The only drawbacks I found for me are: 1) it appears you cannot download more Aps to the smart menu (i.e. Disney+), and 2) the TV itself does not have Bluetooth to connect headphones to, but neither of those are really a deal breaker in any way. Also the sound from the built in speakers is just ok, but who doesn’t have a sound bar today?

I bought an LG last year that displayed a horrible picture quality whenever HDR content was detected. Now with the quantum upgrade I don’t see any halo, the blacks are beautiful, the option between HDR and Dolby Vision is amazing on Apple TV.i definitely recommend this TV.

This vizio P series is likely the best one you can get at this price point (I got it on sale for 1K). The quality of the display is excellent. Able to show very deep blacks as it has zone dimming and has very vibrant colors. Alexa intergration with my sonos soundbar works well (I use it to turn the TV on/off and control volume mostly). It also looks excellent with the silver band on the bottom as well as the sides; has a thin likely <1cm bezel around the TV). The software works smoothly and without hiccup. Only cons would be that it still uses an old school style of TV remote bar vs the simplistic form factor of newer samsung tvs. Also it would be nice to be able to use the automatic light sensitive dimmer on the other tv modes (for example doesn't work on custom or vibrant modes). All in all very minor cons that shouldn't sway you away from buying this TV for this price range.

This set looks amazing. Granted I am coming from a 10yr old 720p plasma. This is my first LED TV and there is a lot more 4K content to take advantage of the set. This set is for general viewing in my living room, as I do not have a dedicated theater room. My room is fairly big and bright, and one major drawback to this TV is the viewing angle. I knew this going in, so it was expected, but coming from a plasma, it is the biggest issue I have with this TV. So much so, I rearranged my living room furniture to accommodate. My other gripe with this set is the SmartCast operating system. It has been fairly slow to respond. However, everything I watch is done via my 4K Fire TV, so I avoid having to use the native system altogether. I can see it becoming painful to use over a really short time. My viewing is primarily TV and Movie content, with not much sports. You cannot go wrong with this set as a main set. If you're looking for a dedicated theater TV, I would consider this as the minimum video quality level I would need as well. The value proposition of this TV is fantastic and hard to pass up. Time will tell if it's reliability also matches the video quality.

Did I say awesome! I'm getting ahead of myself. After about 15 years of service, our big projection TV gave out on us. So we figured it was time that we join the rest of the population and get a flat screen. It took about 2-3 weeks of researching TV's and determining what we wanted and needed. After comparing different styles and features, it came down to a Sony model and this Vizio. We finally decided on this Vizio over the Sony. Yes, price was a factor; we got more from Vizio at a lower price. We had it delivered and decided to setup it up ourselves. It was so easy to do, just following the prompts on the TV. But the picture! Colors so crisp! Everyone that comes over has to comment on this TV. We considered a 75" but 65" was perfect for us. I'm so glad that we ended up getting this Vizio. It's awesome!
