Picked this Vizio soundbar up a week before black Friday on sale for $169.99 from $249.99. It was easy to set up and sounds great from all sources. I love that the subwoofer is wireless and that the rear channels plug into it allowing me to place it anywhere in the room. If you're on a budget or have a small area and still want a 5.1 surround system you can't go wrong with this.

Got this for my parents living room. Dad has sound bar envy... so we hooked it up thanksgiving weekend when he stepped out and when he went back he felt the Boom! Overall good product for the money. Compared all sound bars at Best Buy. Best bang for the buck! I gave it a 4 because the smaller speakers aren’t wireless. Would be 5 if they were wireless like sub woofer.

I had a $500+ Samsung HTIB system that ended up being junked out by Geek Squad, and in my quest to replace it I came across the SmartCast soundbar system. I've never been a big fan of soundbars, as I have always found the quality of the audio to be subpar. But this unit surprised me, it offers great audio clarity, rich highs, and moderately deep lows (the subwoofer does not go subsonic). All in a package that was half the price of what I had before. Plus if you have a VIZIO TV, the SmartCast ARC functionality is very nice and allows control of the unit with the TV remote. It's not theater quality, but for the size sound stage I have, it's perfect.

This sounds great. I bought a 70 inch Vizio tv and added this soundbar to my purchase. I'm so glad I did. Plenty of volume for me and sounds great. I listen to concert dvds, watch sports, movies, regular shoes, video games with this soundbar. It really does help make the entertainment experience much more enjoyable. Great value for the money. I bought mine on sale at a special price if I bought the Vizio tv. Very pleased with my purchase.

This sound bar was very easy to setup, there are cords that go between the subwoofer and the satellite speakers, and these get hidden behind my couch. There’s no cord from the subwoofer and the sound bar. Overall great value with a major increase in sound quality over the tv speakers, and still a cheaper sound bar than a lot of the competitors

Overall, the performance and sound quality is great. It also is very easy to change the different levels (bass, subwoofer, treble, etc) and easily hear a noticeable difference. My issue with it is that the Bluetooth pairing process is not easy. Often times when you put it into sync mode it does not show up as a device on whatever you're trying to pair it with (i.e. phone). And sometimes when it does and you click pair it sits forever and never pairs. We have tried with numerous phones so it seems to be on the soundbars end. That said still overall a good product, and if you are mainly using it in a living room with a smart TV the Bluetooth issue doesn't matter much. We just run music through the smart TV or an Xbox.

I must say at first I was not impressed with this product but the longer I own it, the more I like it. Let's be honest, the interface sucks, no two ways around that but once you get it set up correctly you don't need it anymore, get it set where you like it and forget it. Although small and on the cheaper side this system does rock. I listen to lots of music and this little sound bar really kicks it out. If you do buy it, and it truly is a great deal, give it some time and you will love you also. I read all the reviews before purchasing it and they were right, for the money, it is the absolute best system out there. Even if you are hard of hearing (I am) it still provides enough.

I love how this bar sounds. Although they may not provide much when watching ordinary TV, the satellite speakers provide great surround sound noise when watching movies. I downgrade it for a few issues I have had so far where when using the HDMI In the sound will randomly drop and I must restart the speaker to get sound back.

Bought a his for the family room. Need a little bit more sound out of the tv but didn’t want to break the bank or go overboard with a booming 5.1 system. I got exactly what I wanted. It sounds great, no distortion even when turned all the way up. Set up was a breeze and the price was great.

Each time i turn the system on i have to cycle through the connection options to get the sound to come on....real pain in the a**. Sound is great but the volume from the satellite speakers can be weak at times depending on the program being watched. Sounded much better in the store

Got a great price on sale for this system - it was easy to set up (I am not techy at all and I had no problems getting it set up). The sound is a huge improvement from just the TV speakers on our Samsung TV. I bought it for a gift for my husband who is hard of hearing and he loves it!

You can not find much of a cheaper option to obtain 5.1 sound, with that said I have about 74 inches of distance between the soundbar and sub woofer with nothing in between but the sub woofer and rear channels will drop sound at least once every 45 min or so. Its not a huge deal but it seems to only happen during loud scenes in which is is noticeable. Based on the price this could be expected and overall sound quality is great. Its still a better experience using this product then not using it. I have other wireless speakers in the house and there might be interference issues at play as well.

At $169, this Vizio 5.1 soundbar system provides more than satisfactory sound for the money. It's hard to imagine that there's a better value out there. The bass from the subwoofer has some thump but I wouldn't describe it as room shaking. The subwoofer does seem well matched to the soundbar. The two biggest drawbacks are: 1) The RCA type plugs for the small satellite speakers are not easily compatible with speaker stands if you want to hide the wires, and 2) The satellite speakers have little, if any, adjustability in terms of their volume output. Those two nitpicks aside, I'm happy with my purchase and would buy this 5.1 system again.

I am completely satisfied with the quality of the Vizio sound bar for improving my flatscreen tv sound. Setting up was a little more of a challenge than I anticipated but got that done. I wanted a quality speaker system which this is, but I also think just the sound bar without the satellite speakers would have worked also. I think the included remote could be improved with a lighted menu for one, plus the placement of the selections may could be better or script larger....something. Bottom line is that I can enjoy tv sound without having to dial up the volumn so much.

This item is great for the price. The sound is very good, not out of the world. At the price it's very nice and is probably hard to beat. Simple set up in minutes.

To start this off I am going to say " what a great product". I have had a vizio sound system in my game room for the longest time and the sound is amazing. I had to return a overpriced sony sound bar that i got the first time and got this one right before christmas. This sound bar is almost half the price of the sony. So its not even a question if i should get it or not. I love how this came out and a great small sub-woofer for my living room. LOVE THIS!

I did a lot of research before buying a soundbar and this one came out on top as the best budget soundbar. I would agree with that. For the cost, this one met all my expectations for what I wanted from a soundbar. I read reviews of people having trouble setting it up or it not working; however, this was not a problem for me at all and I found the set up very easy.

Overall I’d say buy this especially if you can find one of the reburb models because it’s a steal at that price. Setup is a bit weird and to fix the sound you need to download the app on your phone but after you’ve done that you’ll be in awe with how clear you can hear everything!!

I'd definitely recommend this to a friend. It was very easy to set up. The sound is pretty good. The price was right. The sound bar mounted on my tv bracket (with brackets bought separately) very easily and fits just perfectly. It doesn't stand out at all.
