The Karaoke machine came well backed and very organized. It has instructions that were easy to follow. The sound quality is excellent and the controls well labeled . I've had the cheap Karaoke machines that cost less but don't last. This model connects to your TV via HDMI or video input so everyone can watch the works. I have found it helpful in improving my singing skills especially when using a good quality head set. I only wish there was a switch that kept the main speakers work when the head set was being used,

Guys: I have purchased a combination of 7 Gig Man/Gig Star Karaoke Machines in my 20 years of singing. In most cases, the machines are without a doubt worth the money. Most beginner's and intermediate user's have a hard time learning how to operate the equipment. The machines are better than there Operators. The better you become on being a sound tech, the more fun you will have. 1st thing to understand: Having a Karaoke Machine without an Amplifier is a big handicap. You must buy a $399.00 Amp or higher priced one to compliment your system. At least 1 if not 2. I have a Thumper Amp- Recommend. Tip: Realize where this product is made. The manufacture only warrants this electronic equipment for 1 year. That may or may not be the case on it's operational functionings. "Always" buy the "fix it" warrantee for the maximum years offered. Pay that added cost. These machines can be quirky like cars that age. The CDG plate jams or stops working, a part falls off, the Echo may not work well, you may not hear the singer in the Vocal Demo of a CDGM, the Player may run hot and destroy CDG's, many possibilities. Protect yourself. Buy the fix it policy. Upgrade your Microphone, the box ones are not what you want. A separately purchased $69 to $89 mike will do. No need to spend more. My last 4 Voco Pro machines have been Gig Star's, all from Best Buy. I know of 2 other sellers and purchased from them in the past. Best Buy is #1. Buy yours there. I have had more expensive Voco Pro Karaoke Machines. Common Sense Summation: All these Machines bought have had 1 yr. Manufacture warrantees: Even my $1,299.00 Unit. Why pay more money for an expensive bigger unit if it runs no longer than the cheaper ones? If you must replace them every 2 to 4 years, better to spend $400 for the Gig Star than a lot more. As long as you purchase the upgrades necessary to improve your Karaoke system you will enjoy this Karaoke Machine. If not, it will work in a less professional manner for being tight without extra spending for upgrading the system for it's better workings. If you are a serious singer, this system is where you start at for working towards your goals. Sincerely, WS :)

Good quality, and great value for the system features. Can be used for corner gigs and great for living room stardom. Be aware if you want to connect this analog machine to a more sophisticated "smart" tv to play karaoke tunes from web apps, you may need to purchase the optical digital converter cable and box if that's your only tv output option. Also, you may want to consider purchasing the extended warranty through the manufacturer. This is one of the those products that Geek Squad would only replace, not troubleshoot.

Loved it. Came with microphones. We have the karaoke app with AT&T uverse. Lots of fun with the kids and grandkids.

My initial thought is that is was going to be just a plain machine. But it has many ports. Many ways to alter your voice (if you bad like me it may help). Would highly recommend. Great build quality.

I love my new VocoPro Gigstar karaoke player. The sound is so professional that I forget I am at home. Best purchase ever.

I wanted to upgrade karaoke machines and make sure that I did not have something that looked like a grade school child would use. This system is great, the microphones are heavy duty, the set up was easy and the sound quality is great. This machine has made all of my parties a success!

This VocoPro Gig Star has been a great step up from karaoke machines that are available on the shelf at retail stores. The sound is fuller and richer than my old machine. I like the versatility of being able to use Karaoke DVD's and CDG's on the same machine. I haven't had it long enough to determine durability.

I bought this machine to use at a wedding. I wanted to play music and be able to have a mike for speeches. I tried the machine out once it arrived, and I'm very happy. I did have to call customer service because the voices sounded distorted. I was able to reach someone quickly, and he quickly solved the problem. The issue was that the key had been changed and it needed to be reset. I think this will work fine for its purpose.

This is the second one the first lasted only 3 months and now I am already having trouble with this one the cd drawer will not open and close properly

Bought it as a birthday gift. It was better than i thought. Loved how it comes with 2 decent mics although i didnt remember it listed as whats all included. Overall family enjoyed it.

This is a very good unit and it impressed me. It came with microphones even though it did not list that in the description.

My karaoke machine was hit by a surge after a lightning strike. So I was searching for a replacement and found this machine. Extremly happy with so much better than my old one.

Purchased to encourage singing with seniors in an assisted living facility. We are all having such a good time. Easy to use, great sound.

Had to bring back since this player is based off RC plugs and thier is no HDMI.Now days most electronics are all able to connect useing HDMI.

I am very pleased with the VocoPro Gig Star. Some of the functions did not work, and I was past Best Buys warranty period, and VocoPro sent shipping label to return the machine for repair or replacement.

I like the unit’s construction; very solid, the mics and cables are good quality, and the sound is good. My only complaint was that when you used the key changer it was very slow to respond. When you finally got it where you wanted it the song would be over and you would have to restart it. It just so happened that my unit was defective in that a video output had no red channel so playing a DVD was out of the question. I returned the unit to the local store (having bought it online) with no problem. I will order another one and try my luck again because I like everything else about it.

This is definitely a over priced speaker .. It doesn't do anything really .. You still have to purchase the karaoke songs and hook it up to your TV....it makes a humming sound ....definitely wouldn't recommend . ( I can do more with My Laptop Bluetooth to My speakers).
