Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have a receiver/ soundbar that has aux input or rca input you need to do the following: remove arc or any other cable connecting your tv and audio system. Then connect optical from your tv to this unit. From this unit you can connect the output to either aux input or rca input on your current audio system. Press the input button on the unit until you get sound from your system. Then you are ready to sing. Its important that the ONLY audio system connected directly to your tv is this device in order for it to work. I hope this helps everyone.

I have Sonos sound system with my television so I have not worked out the work around to use my tv sound. I ended up using my portable speaker to run the mics and kept my tv together. I am impatient and could find a way to keep my surround speakers and the mics on.
