We use this in our bedroom - very nice to have a bit of air movement in the room while we sleep. It says it can be used in a living room (larger space), and I bet it could - so perhaps it is a little larger than we need, but we like it cooler. It does NOT OSCILLATE - I was apprehensive about this (as we had an oscillating fan that we were replacing), but the vornado says it does not need to oscillate - instead it has enough power to move all of the air in the room. I am a believer! I recommend this fan.

I am a drummer that plays with a full band, I use this in my practice space, which gets rather hot in the summer, and though I bought it for myself and have it largely directed at me, it still manages to cool the entire room. Also, the fan is quiet so the operation does not interfere as we play.

Absolutely love it this is my third fan ! Have one in each room of my home absolutely recommend this circulates the air across all the room silently and efficiently!

But it is quite expensive. It is pretty quiet on the two lowest settings but it can get pretty loud on the two higher ones. It does a really nice job of moving air around a medium sized living room with few obstructions.

I was looking for a fan to use while sleeping. This fan has four speeds (most vornado fans like this have 3 speeds), and the lowest speed is extremely quiet. I'm really glad I purchased this fan.

This is exactly what I needed! I have a room in my home that was an garage conversion into a master bedroom. It is oddly shaped, and the window AC unit was on the other side of the room. The far side and middle of room would constantly be hot, but the side where the AC was would be cool. I watched about 5 YouTube videos about this fan, and they sold me on the dream of having a cooler room. I bought it about a week ago, and it was exactly what my room was missing! I placed it in the middle of the room to push the air towards the back, and turned of the ceiling fan, per instructions I found online. Let me tell you, the temperature in my room is at least 10 degrees cooler, and it gets almost too cold now! This was the best $100 I've spent so far in the past year!

This fan design hasn't changed much in 20 years .. it now has a feature that keeps the same level when you turn it on and off. Get it on sale, it's a 5 year fan... it'll last.

Though this fan is a little more than what I initially hoped to spend it was well worth it. Lots of power to move air around the room, but yet 5 speed settings to accommodate your individual need. Highest speed is a little noisy but that has to be expected...just as a gauge I use the second lowest speed setting for my master and it makes a big difference at night. Nice height adjustability and very sturdy base. Quality construction it feels like. Worth the extra money I feel.

This fan really circulates the air in a room. If on high though, it is a bit loud but we use it to sleep so it acts as our noise maker. Would definitely recommend.

This fan is powerful and quiet! Takes up little space.

Bought this for use in a summer home. Works well for keeping the air moving. Have primarily used first setting and it is very quiet, hard to tell its even on. Would purchase this product again. Used store pick up option and it was seemless and simple.

I’ve had it for awhile kept forgetting to write a review but long story short it’s a good fan feels amazing anywhere i put it keeps the entire room cool even the my dogs like laying in front of it when I have it facing my bed oh and i haven’t had any issues with it. Also bought a second one.

I love this fan and use it every day and night. I really am a fan person versus A/C. I have not used my A/C once this summer. Give me a. ceiling fan and a very powerful fan like this Vornado any day. Now the fan on this device is very strong. The air is circulated well and you can feel it across the room. My two dogs love for it to be on since it not only is great at cooling them down while blowing their long beautiful hair. And yes it was more than many might want to pay for it, but the tilting ability and the super-powerful engine of the Vornado fan make it an excellent investment that I am sure will last for many years. I can endorse it wholeheartedly since I won't fall asleep without it being on. And I will be using it during the fall and winter since I prefer to be cool to cold when sleeping. I also love the ability to direct the fan at a specific target.

I've been using it for a few weeks when I go to bed/sleep. I keep it on all night for at least 8 hours on low. I have it on the floor blowing directly up on me. It's not noisy and the airflow is enough on low, I'm glad I purchased the 2 year warranty! If it stops working, I know best buy will replace it or fix it. I've checked it during the night for overheating. The motor is cool to the touch! I've purchased many floor fans, tower fans, pedestal fans, rechargeable fans... They didn't work for a month or throughout the summer. I have an HVAC system at home that I use while using my fans and ceiling fans. I DON'T LIKE BEING WARM, LET ALONE TO HOT. I'm hoping the two Vornado 660 fans are my answer! Thank you for making me happy. Lets hope it lasts all summer in HOT South Florida!

I had heard all the hype online about Vornado fans, and decided it was worth giving it a shot. I had an old box fan I used religiously for the past few years, and this thing trumps that most definitely. You can feel the air moving from all directions and cools the space very fast. Best fan ever.

This is an outstanding fan. Aim it at the ceiling and it circulates the air in the entire room. It has a variety of speeds, is quiet at lower speeds but it does an excellent job. You will be glad you bought it.

I recently moved into a home with an out dated AC. To bridge gap with replace of that and ceiling fan installation, I looked to circulator fans and initially purchased a dyson (fan, purifier and heater) but the cost wasn't justified so I returned it and got this one. It's very powerful at full strength; however, it's also quite loud. But most days, I have it at the lowest or one up setting and that's quiet enough to watch tv nearby but still move the air in my open/larger room. On high, I have to blast tv sound to hear it. I'd definitely prefer a good ceiling fan or maybe a swamp cooler to this but I would recommend this and the price is feasible/justified.

We bought this fan for our living room. In the winter, the fireplace needs to push air through a large room. We were left with cold spots in the room and overly hot spots. We keep this fan on low and it is hardly noticeable but wow does it move and equalize the air in the room. We love it so much we bought a second and we use it to push cool air up from the basement in the summer. It keeps the the A/C bill down and we like that!

Does the job it's meant to do, and does it very well! Adjustable speed, runs pretty quietly, depending on the speed you have it set to.
