Runs quietly and provides heat anywhere you need it. Purchased on sale it was a very good value.

First let’s talk about drawbacks. It’s not thermostatically controlled ie. stays on ALL the time. You can’t set it to turn off at a given temperature. You set it but better not forget it. Fan is not silent. You know that it is there. Not noisy but not silent. Quiet? Depends on your definition. Some will call it white noise. But because of item 1 you might want to know it’s there. Heat from fan blowing on high can be noticeably felt 9-12 inches in front of heater. After 24 inches you won’t feel it directly in front but above grade. The fan only mode is much stronger but also louder. Not sure if I would use it on my desk in front of a computer. I would call this a personal heater with regards to its compact size and proximity to which you would use it. For which it deserves 3 stars.

Overall, this Vornado is great. I have the larger, metal until, and I love it. It works great, which is why I decided to try this smaller sibling. It's very compact, but puts out a great amount of heat. My only issue is the automatic shut off. This is a great feature, in theory. However, I've never been able to use it on high power for more than a couple of minutes before it shuts off. I've tried various rooms, plenty of space to ventilate, etc. Regardless, it never runs for more than a couple of minutes. And, when this happens, you cannot simply switch to fan only mode, or lower heat mode. It is completely non-functional until it "cools." You must turn the unit off and wait. Low power mode, or fan only mode is great, and works as expected. It seems like a waste to put a high heat level mode on this unit, but have it only work for such a short while before shutting off. There are other, more affordable units that I would recommend over this one.

Very impressed with this little heater. I needed a low amperage heater to keep my newborn rabbits warm in the garage when we had a cold snap. It worked perfectly. Very quiet with just the right amount of flow. Ran it for 3 days straight with no problems. The best part is that when you dont want heat you can use it as a regular fan.

I wouldn't have any other space heater. I've got 1 other. I was trying to replace a non-working heater and thought this small one might work. For the $ you can't beat it. As it turned out I need the next size up for my basement office. This little heater does kind of take the chill off but it not really big enough to warm my space.

Since it has a fan function, I am able to claim it's a fan and use it at my desk. keeps my 8'X8' cubicle pretty toasty.

This is compact and does a decent job heating an average room.

This is our 4th one of these and the first of the new design. We all have one and the one finally went out many many years later from every day overnight use. Great little fan and heater that packs a punch above it's weight limit.

Purchase this heater to use in our office. Its great if you have it close to you and would be a perfect fit for a small kids room/small office. I ultimately returned and had to get something a little stronger.

I picked this up in a hurry as my office was freezing. It does a pretty good job of warming my cube, I like that it looks like a fan (which I can have) I wish it was a little warmer but great value for the price

I liked it bc it is very compact size and does not take too much room to place. It is very quite and shut off automatic if it is too hot. Love it.

I plugged the heater up and left out the room for 20 minutes and came back and it was hot in my room. And the heater was so quiet.

I purchased this heater for my wife's desk at work. She likes it very much. It keeps her feet warm throughout the day, no more cold toes! It fits perfectly under her desk.

The price was good and it heats well. I doesn't get very hot though, but I should expected due to the wattage. Haven't tried it out in the winter so we will see

Please note that this heater doesn't offer the standard wattage of most portable heaters - it offers exactly half. Furthermore, it doesn't have a thermostat. Airflow is less than expected from a Vornado product but still OK. Relatively quiet.

I use this during my overnight shifts because it gets a bit chilly. But this actually comes in handy. It could be hotter but can’t complain either.

Purchased for small work area and it works well. It heats up my space and doesn't bother others. It is louder than expected.

I bought this heater a month ago and I’m so happy with it fits any little room and uses low electricity

I use it for my cubicle at the office and it certainly gives off the right amount of heat.
