I use this in my office. The low speed provides plenty of air movement near my desk with reasonably low noise. I think it would perform well for room level air circulation at higher speeds. Love the retro appearance, but it’s also highly functional. I only marked it average on value because it is a fairly pricey option. For me, looks were important. Others may not place the same value on that.

It’s a great fan except when it oscillates there’s a clicking noise when it pivots left to right and right to left. I wonder if the larger version of this fan does the same thing thing

Works great. A little on the pricey side. I've had two in the past that were less. They were also a little bigger. I like this one as it's smaller and fits the space better.

To start, I have returned the fan to Best Buy. The fan made a noise that was impossible to ignore while trying to sleep. When you disengage the oscillation, you can still hear the movement inside the fan. As I use this fan for a cool breeze, I also use it as a white noise source, and this fan failed in that regard.
