A classic Irwin Allen Sci-Fi movie. It will never win any oscars for the acting, but is a fun way to spend an afternoon. The Blu-Ray transfer is great, it is brighter than before, and the sound is much better than the DVD version. Not a whole lot of extras, but some interesting ones nonetheless. If you are of fan of this genre, you will like it.

Older adventure movie, but entertaining to watch. Have seen it many times.

This is an entertaining movie and fun to watch, but only if you are in the mood for some undemanding escapism. If you want state of the art special effects though, you will be disappointed. Don't forget that this was made in 1961.
The bluray image and sound is of surprisingly good quality, though.
