I got this for my wife because after surgery she could not walk very well. The only complaints I have with it are, it requires a perfect electrical current from the phone line for the lights and the talking Caller ID to work. If you have too many phones plugged into your network or have a voice over IP system that has a week loop current, the phone will still work but the talking Caller ID and the lights will not. To fix it you can either unplug some phones or buy a ringtone loop current booster for about ($150.00 to $200.00). Also I wish it had two line capability. Except for that it seems like a pretty good product.

The switching of call waiting does not always work when a call comes. I get a dead space instead of the other call. Also, the volume button for the handset is very poorly placed as it is so easy to hit the volume each time you grab tht handset.

I very much wanted this phone - the problem - the handsets only work if close to base set. My last v-tech phone was returned because the phone on the base didn't disconnect when the phone was replaced - the handset had to be picked up and replaced a second time or you had no service. How sad - there are features I liked better than the brand I settled for.

I was expecting two phones with the order as shown in the ad. Surprised to only receive one. I should have read the reviews before ordering as others had the same problem. Needed the 'necklace' for mother so she can get us if she falls or needs us. Otherwise, I would recommend this product.

This is a very good phone for the money. V-tech is the best to me.

This phone is one excellent useful phone. It has everything you can think of, a feature to slow down a persons voice to understand them better, a feature to say the numbers you are dialing if you are hard of hearing. I also have the pendant necklace and that is very useful if you fall. It doesnt automatically call 911 you need to press the button you programmed for 911 or a family member. You have 2 choices. The button is sensitive so you may accidentally call 911. You can also answer calls on this phone if you are outside near the base unit or in the laundry room. You can press the buttons on either side of the pendant and state dial speed dial "1" or 2" and it will dial the programmed number. There is no speed dial on the base unit of which I wish they had so I could program in maybe 10 numbers and command the pendant to dial those but I guess they didnt think of it. It also has an on/off button on the pendant so you can turn it off so you diont accidentally dial 911. You cant take it into the shower though. Great phone

I like that it has the care line I do not like that the cords do not match the phone

This product does not include the two handsets as shown on the main item photo and 3 of the 4 subphotos - it only includes the answering machine handset and the pendant. Now I need reorder a new system and wait for it for my invalid father! I usually have great luck with Best Buy, but this was completely misleading, and even after calling Best Buy they admitted they understood how this could be seen as misleading, but said that despite this it only comes with one handset and didn't do anything about it.
