We bought the phone and have had it for six months. Sound is clear, easy to understand functions. Mute, speakerphone and flash buttons for well. The menu select is easy to understand without having to pull out the handbook. ONly negative is the slim design; after holding it in conversation for 15-20 minutes or more, my hand cramps up! I guess we can't have it all. I bought this after dealing with a very poor quality AT&T cordless (expensive, too) phone that had such bad sound quality. I would buy this phone again.

When I first got this phone I loved it. And so did everyone else who saw it and used it. After about 2 weeks the battery life got shorter and shorter. Mine came with two handsets and both have no battery life. The only thing you can do that might work is put it back on the charger when not in use. Which is a big Con. Even when the phone is not in use I can watch it drain as it just sits there. I don't know what they did to this phone to make it drain so quickly, but I wish they would research it. It's a beautiful phone, nice features , nicely shaped but if you need to actually use it to talk, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Nice design~!! I've been looking for designs that are not bulky as most land-line phones out there. I purchase it and loved it very much. One thing, though, is that, at night, the back-light is only available for keypads. No back lights for screens and ON/OFF buttons. After talking on the phone in my room with lights turned off, I tried to end the call, but it was difficult to find the button for it since there were no back lightings available.

I have purchased several V-tech phones that I was satisfied with, but this one is the worst by far. I have only had it for a month or so and the battery already needs replacing. I thought possibly that I just got a "lemon" phone, but since reading other reviews this seems to be a common problem. Sometimes you have to press the talk button a couple of times for it to dial out. I am very disappointed in V-tech for putting a product like this on the market because I do not feel that it is V-tech quality. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

This is a great phone! we bought 2 of them, one with an answering maching and an additional one to have in the house. This phone has great reception when you are far away from the cradle, and the backlighting is awesome! Functions like Caller ID, and different ringtones to choose from are also a great feature.

I got a great steal on this at my local Best Buy which was well below this online price, and I have had ZERO battery problems so far. I love the range and lack of interference with my wireless router and bridges. My base is in a corner bedroom halfway underground, and I get great quality phone conversations on the opposite corner of the house outside.

i have been thru 3 of the v6053 models so far, they dont hold the charge when off the handset and they also dont show the battery level when off the handset, i spoke to v tech directly and they keep advising me that the phone is bad & keep sending me new ones & i send back the old ones, so far i havent received a proper working phone. i am very disappointed about the vtech phones, i have always purchased vtech phones and i am going to switch brands.

Have had this phone for about 3 months. No issues as of yet. Good clarity, speaker phone works great, long battery life. Good value for price.

I really love the speaker on this phone it is one of the loudest i have ever heard. the range is great better than most. the only thing that could be better is the charging time, it use the batterey fast i would by the one that comes with two phones. But it is worth it.

Purchased this phone three weeks ago. Have not had any problems with it. It has an extremely clear reception, useful options such as the hand set speakerphone, and the answering machine is sweet! This phone is highly recommended especially for the cheap price.

Have had this phone for a few months now and it works flawlessly. Clear crisp sound with zero interference from any other phones or electronics. Speakerphone is a nice feature when you need to talk and write at the same time. My only gripe is that the faceplate does scratch/scuff easily from normal everyday use.

I like the slimness of the phone. But the speaker on the phone, i have lots of teleconfrences from home, cuts in and out. It took about a good three months before the answering machine decided to work. Battery life for me was no problem.

Found this phone to be the best. I thought twice before getting a Vtech phone, but the design of this phone drew me in. Once at home it has lived up to all of it's capabilities. I will be using this one for a long time. Now I am looking for additional headsets for the rest of the house.

I bought this phone and it is awful!! The battery life sucks. Yes, it looks nice...but if has an awful reception!! You can barely hear the person on the other end of the phone and the answering machine is very large.

Fine for a secondary phone, but menu is confusing for technophobes, and sound could be better

I bought this phone on Feb 14 , went back home , charged the battery for more Than 24 Hours before my first use , I set it up , I got a very important call , I Picked up the Phone , It said Connecting then 6 seconds later It said Unavailable , I missed the call , I got really frustrated. Afterwards , I tried ,numerous times, to call my cell phone , It wouldn't even let me do that. So, I decided to take it back to the store. Such A Terrible Performance .. It looked Nice Though, But who cares about that if you can't even use it . I definitely don't recommend it to anyone. Not worth The money at all.

I bought this phone thinking it looked awesome and vtech usually makes good products, however this one is really horrible, besides the battery always dying and that the phone doesn't have a clip. The phone will sometimes not turn off or not turn on, sometimes it just beeps for hours and won't do anything but day unavailable, I am buying a new phone. I am staying away from vtech phones altogether and will try the panasonic phone.

First off interference...This phone claims to be interference free.....totally wrong..I can't run my air purifier because the phones won't even ring with it on. I bought this phone and then read the reviews, which was a mistake on my part. I have had this phone for a month and I am going to return it. This phone gets so bad with interference, I have to unplug the base once a week to get it to get to go back to normal! THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER BOUGHT! I wouldn't even give it one star if I had too!

WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS PHONE ON THE STORE SHELF I HAD TO HAVE IT. NOW, I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE HAND. THE FIRST ONE WAS TAKEN BACK DO TO THE FACT IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE. THE SECOND ONE IS GOING BACK TOO, FOR THE SAME REASON! THIS PHONE LOOKS GREAT BUT JUST DOESN'T HOLD ANY KIND OF A CHARGE. WHY WOULD A COMPANY MAKE A CORDLESS PHONE THAT YOU HAVE TO KEEP ON THE CHARGER ALL DAY TO GET ONLY 20 MINUTES OF USE OUT OF IT??? I WILL NEVER BUY THIS MAKE OF CORDLESS PHONES AGAIN!!!

I was VERY disappointed with this phone. The battery life IS very bad. I always keep my phones on the base and am not a big talker; it runs out in the course of one phone call and I always have to change handsets. I was shocked to find that if you have 3 numbers for someone you have to enter the person 3 times. Also you are unable to transfer your phonebook from one handset to another. I had to enter all the numbers on every handset. It's very frustrating.
