    Sounds very nice

These phones work great and the price is right too. When I got them I searched furiously for the headset jack and was disappointed to find none, and disappointed with myself for not checking on that before ordering. But, I'm the only one in the family who feels that is important so I'm keeping the phones. I ordered two more handsets to bring the household total to five handsets. Really good stuff. I was looking for a unit without voicemail, but it's easy to turn off the voicemail use your provider's voicemail instead. MWI works either way. Also like the unified directory. Create a speed dial on one handset, and the other 4 inherit it. I didn't think I'd use the intercom but I threw a handset in the playroom and now I can call the kids up there too!

    too complicated and horrible signal

This phone looked good in the pictures, but not good in real life. IT'S HUGE! i looks like a remote control! Also, my mom kept complaining how the signal was very bad and people's voices would break in the phone. Did i mention how the features aren't so great? If i wanted to reject a call and pressed the end button, the phone would stop ringing only on that handset! It was more like a mute option, but i can hear the other phones ringing. smh horrible. DONT BUY

The phone is excellent. I like the voicemail feature and the voice announcements of calls that come in.

    Ringer too quiet

We've got the handsets on maximum volume, but we don't hear them half the time. You have to be in the same room to hear the ringer, which means carrying the handset wherever you go unless you want the frustration of missing important calls. BTW, we're not hard of hearing. Otherwise, we've had no problems with them.

Initially this phone was awesome! after 8 months the clarity began to change and noticed occassional static on the line. the static on the line steadily increased and after 13 months the base died. i spoke with Vtech warranty service and they refused to repair or replace since the warranty is 12 months. they offerred a 15% discount for purchase of new phone. i opted to purchase the att model CL8341 instead. this was the second vtech phone i've purchased and probably my last.

Our last few cordless phones have been Uniden & we were replacing constantly either for low battery life or poor sound quality. So far the Vtech has been great. We live in a rural area where voicemail isn't provided, the easy & sleek answering machine is also appreciated.
