i want to make this clear - i'm not someone who writes album reviews. while i am a HUGE fan of this band & have been since the late 90s i'm going to give you an honest review. & i'm not going to cut & paste this review on every site that allows album reviews like a lot of the other users reviews are on here. this is an HONEST review that is not written by some street teamer (thou i am on their street team). w/that out of the way let me tell you why this album is great. there are 13 tracks on this album & these 13 tracks have a pretty broad range of sounds. you got the standard rock single type songs like "radio" (which is set to be their new single) & "acid rain" that really truely do belong on the airwaves. you got fun songs that you can dance to like "nyc speed" & "strobe lights". & you got classic epic soundscape tracks like "mouth to mouth" that are not only a throwback to the band's past but shed a light into the future potential of this amazingly underrated band. there are even a few tracks that have guitar solos worthy of being put into either guitar hero or rock band (again "strobe lights"!) because of all these things this album appeals to a wide range of people as long as they are willing to look past the band's "emo" exterior. give it a chance - you'll have a hard time taking out of your cd or mp3 player i promise.

    BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Wake Up The Sleepers was released on 09/29/09 and the proudest album of Kill Hannah’s career. Going back to the way things were when they were doing it themselves,m producing the album themselves and promoting the band after shows themselves, they return to that mentality and give fans what they are really looking for when it comes to their music and what to expect. The title, “Wake Up The Sleepers” is a call to the music industry as is is today, where people are caring less and only looking at the business side and forgetting what its all about; the music. This album is a fantastic mix of dance songs with heavier undertones and darker themes. The lyrics are more in depth and personal and Mat Devine’s vocals are on point all the way. This album is completely worth every penny.

The new record is finally here! There are no words to describe how happy I am with this album! Each song is different, and in a good way - you can see how they draw different influences from different bands. There's no one else like them; they are my absolute favorite. You can connect with each song; each one is as good as the last. I couldn't ask the band for anything better. So buy it now!

i decided i was going to buy this album after hearing only ONE song off of it at one of their shows. (not to say that the other 4 sneek peeks were not enjoyed). i went home that night and got online to pre-order. NO REGRETS! danceable beats, edgey lyrics that also have meaning.... who could ask for more? it has my FULL recomendation!
