This is a celebration of the anniversary of their Waking the Fallen cd released years ago. Many fans argue that this is their best release of their career so its no surprise here that they "resurrected" it this year. Its a pretty neat package with some pretty cool DVD footage. I already own the original album. I am a huge A7X fan and so I bought this anyways. I recommend anyone to snatch this up. Very cool

I am a big Avenged Sevenfold fan, but don't really appreciate the mainstream sound of their newest album. This is a really nice release, of an album that I think represents one of A7X's best periods. It's also very cool to watch the existing members from that era discuss their views on the recording process.

I have been into Avenged Sevenfold since the original came out. This Anniversary edition is well worth it. Feels like an old favorite.

Avenged Sevenfold is the best band on earth. A7X rocks.

This CD is a definite must for not only an avenged sevenfold fan, but for any rock fan. This is rock at its best...this is avenged sevenfold at their best. Disc one is the same as the original, but I can still listen to that over and over. Disc two is outstanding...you can't beat the demos of some of their more popular songs, especially the live versions. After hearing everything this re-release has to offer, I just hope A7X does this for all their other albums, especially city of evil. But until then, blast this as loud as you can...also great for when you're at the gym.

Flashback to the past and how the album that made them who they are now ,started a new generation of musicianship and adventure I it's best . A7X's waking the fallen:resurrected Is the album remastered( only the volume is raised ,nothing else is changed) which is awesome. They have full demos and live songs and a 30 min documentary of creating the waking the fallen and the process they went through and the faces that would last for the next ten years. Also, features the first original cut of unholy confessions and other videos. Would recommend for die hard fans of avenged.

I love Avenged Sevenfold. Not exactly sure why they remade this CD with a few extras. I already own the CD so it seems like kind of a waste to buy this CD again but I'll buy anything they put out. I have not had time to watch the DVD yet. This item is definitely worth it if this is the first time you are buying the CD and are getting the bonus stuff.

I am a huge fan of A7X. I was very excited when I heard the demo tapes of Waken the Fallen were being released. That disc is amazing, the demos were sometimes not even close to the final version. Loved it. Problem is they decided to add Waken the Fallen as a disc (uh, we already own that if we are fans?) and disc 3 is a throw away interview piece that includes very little of The Rev. Price was unusually high as a result. Should have been 7 - 9 $ disc.

The first listen was a bit difficult as I expected much simpler song writing style from this band. The second and future listens uncovered a great album. The riffs and vocals grow on you every listen. You start to feel the grooves the more you listen. The musicianship really comes out in this album and you can hear the talent in each song. If this is your first exposure to Avenged Sevenfold you will be hooked. Current fans will love this album.
