Didn't fair well through winter storage!!

I loved the idea of these tables so much. I bought two of them at once. The look/feel/materials were exactly what I wanted!! Putting them together was easy enough with the instructions - no complaints. The care instructions indicated to use teak oil on the tables. I did so when I put them together the first week of August, and I did it again the first week in October before going into winter storage. When I got the tables out from storage they finish was ruined, looked cheap and ruined what had been a great experience. For the money (and having bought 2!), I would have expected them to wear much better. Extremely disappointed. I live in Western, NY so I need something that can handle a little bit of weather.
