    This is not wood, it is particle board with a very shiny, fake looking finish that flakes off when you touch it. I have sold real wood furniture and regret this purchase. Was received with the finish damaged on all corners. This is so flimsy I thought it was going to break when we picked it up to move it. I was going to put it in my dining room to store my cookbooks but it can't handle anything like that. It is so cheap looking I put it in a storage room where nobody can see. It sways when you touch it. The instructions had two errors in the pictures which made it hard to put together. Pieces of it would break off every time we put in a screw. Waste of money. Kept it only because it took so long to put together.
