The Wallander series has been a great series and these are three more excellent additions to the series. Best part is that the shows and books defer just enough to add some unexpected elements to keep the viewers attention.

In the first story, An Event in Autumn, you never really find out who the killer is and the connection between the dead girls. The other stores improve somewhat. Overall, I was very disappointed.

We were happy to continue with Kurt's saga; be advised the episodes are not in the same order as the books.

Getting into the Wallander character was difficult at first but for want of anything else on TV, I started paying attention. His character is complicated enough to keep my attention and the stories are involved enough to make it necessary that I pay attention. The scenery is also beautiful and quite different from that of the normal big city mysteries.
