This depicts Folman's search for lost memories of his experience as a soldier during the 1982 Lebanon War.

This is an animated anthology film depicting real life accounts of the Isreal / Lebanon conflict in 1982, together with horrific war crimes and post traumatic nightmarish symptoms. This is not some typical patriotic action movie romanticizing war. This shows the true price of war for young men who beleived they were the good guys. By the ending, you will be left in shock by what really happened.
The art design of the docudrama is contrastly beautiful. Sony Pictures Classics always puts out great blu-rays. Unfortunately the vocal performances on both the Hebrew and English audio tracks are flat and detached, and no Lebanese citizens' accounts are included. Content is R-Rated for every reason.
