It’s over eight hours long.this Russians filmed took many years to film this is before special a fax this is before computer enhancing films and it cost millions of dollars at the time it came out in 1966 it was the most expensive war film ever done.

It can be self-indulgent, but the production values are unmatchable and Savelyeva is Natasha! How fortunately we are that the movie has been lovingly restored by Criterion.
