This is the best film adaptation of War and Peace. It's a great miniseries with impressive acting. It would be even better with all the extra scenes from the BBC version.

THE COSTUMES AND MILITARY UNIFORMS WERE TERRIFIC AS THE SCENES DEMANDED. IT WAS TRULY A SPECTACLE IN EVERY WAY. I UNDERSTOOD WHAT RUSSIA'S HISTORY MEANT TO IT'S PEOPLE.

Follows the Tolstoy story pretty accurately. Good choice in the actors chosen for the roles, especially Lilly James. Nice scenery/location shots, too. Will watch again soon, when I have six hours to kill :)

Costumes and sets were excellent. Visual experience of period 1805-1812 completely captured. Battle scenes good but would have liked more. Adaptation delivered spirit of characters and plot

The movie itself was ok it really isn't my genre but the wife enjoyed the movie; I will say the picture and sound quality was excellent.

This was a great depiction of the Tolstoy classic. Now I am trying to find the original ne with Henry Fonda and Audrey Hepburn.

Good adaptation on the book War and Peace, Paul Dano and Lily James are great. Also the palaces and battle scenes look very good.

This has the look and slow pace of a typical BBC Masterpiece production, good if you like that, and I usually do, especially the Dickens novels.

If you are a lover of classics, this is a movie to see. A shorter version ofnthe book. Nice drama and epicts life in the old russian empire.

Truly enjoy watching this show based on Tolstoy's work. Certainly glad I added it to our collection.
