Awesome looking steel book to cap off a great trilogy.

Descent family movie. Enjoyed watching with the family.

The story intrigues with through its careful articulation of the motivation and resulting behavior of the central characters which blurs the lines between murder/survival and justice/revenge. I also appreciate the nods to the characters of the original Planet Of The Apes movie and wonder if it will link into a "next" movie. Overall, the Blu-Ray picture is pristine and the 3D provides sufficient depth which makes the scenes fairly immersive especially during the battle sequences. The audio rocks. Overall a great transfer. Highly recommended if you are a fan of the series.

Better than the original series with mister Heston.

I enjoyed the entire series of Planet of the Apes but this has to be the worse one in the bunch. Actually really did not do anything to help with the previous one. I only recommend seeing it if you have seen the other ones and want to see what's next in the series.

Interesting, with much to say, although a bit slow.

I have watched every new Ape movie since the first movie came out where Ceasar became the leader of the intelligent enhanced ape escape & revolution, and this 3rd and maybe last(?) sequel ends with a dramatic bang! It's slow & has alot of talking blah blah blah scenes but it ends the fight between humans & apes leaving us wanting more. I loved seeing this movie in the theater & also at the BluRay I got on sale. I hope there is more to this series. If not, then I enjoyed it & these movies are awesome & so realistic in detail. Loved it.

War for the POTA is a great story and film concluding (?) this prequel/trilogy. I thought the first film of this prequel/trilogy was very good, but the second film seemed a step down in story/movie, to more like what one would expect for a weekly TV show. So I was glad to see the third film stepping it up again for story, acting, and filmography to deliver a nice finish to this trilogy. I hope the writers and directors responsible for the POTA franchise decide to continue making more films and utilize the great talents of Andy Serkis.

This is a fantastic film and probably the best out of the three Planet of the Apes films (and, I'm not talking about Tim Burton's early fiasco). The story is perfectly written and directed with plenty of action. There are even a few extremely touching moments to make you tear up. In 4K HDR, this picture is eye-popping candy. Weta Digital is a Master of the CG world and being able to see every follicle on the surface of the apes is truly stunning. This film is a great example for demonstrating the power of HDR (High Dynamic Range)

Good movie but not as good as the first two. Still worth watching.

The third of the" Planet of the Apes" movies with Andy Serkis providing a motion capture performance as Caesar, the leader of the apes. The movie continues the premise that all 3 of these films are pointing toward the civilization that Charlton Heston discovers in the 1968 movie and this one is packed with lots of small references and tie-ins that are fun to discover. The virus that wiped out most of humanity on Earth has mutated and threatens to remove man from his position of superiority once and for all. This movie is about survival, both for the apes and for man, but it is a personal story for Caesar as he wrestles with his conscience over good vs. evil. Is it justice he seeks, or merely vengeance?

As a collector of blu-rays, I absolutely love this Best Buy Only Steelbook edition of War for the Planet of the Apes. War for the Planet of the Apes is an awesome conclusion to a very well done trilogy. For anyone that has seen the original POTA movies from 1968 to 1973, will appreciate the obvious callbacks and just like everything else in Hollywood, with the amount of money made by this franchise and more importantly, this last movie, there will be another one in the future

The new POTA trilogy has been stellar, but the writers and Matt Reeves saved the best for last. Such a wonderful, emotional, intense, deep, funny, and well executed. A great addition to the franchise!

I was born a little too late for the original series. Being born in the late 70's I missed the originals by a few years, but this new series has been great and War is no exception. It isnt as good as Rise and Dawn but is still a must see of you are fan of the originals or the new series. Any series that is being rebooted can take a page from this series. It shares similarities with the original 5 moives but has its own original story that doesn't damage the legacy of the original series.

I have been absolutely impressed with the reboot of Planet of the Apes over the last 5 years or so. War for the Planet of the Apes is no different. It is a supremely powerful film, and the movie from the recent trilogy that affected me the most emotionally. This is a film about apes, yes, but the emotions that drive the main characters are also the ones that drive us as humans, and this should strike a chord with every viewer. A great, great film that I highly recommend.
