This is my 3rd purchase of a UHD Blu-ray and I must say even though I enjoy it the resolution difference is very minor to my blu-ray since my Receiver and UHD TV does such a good job up converting to 4k. However, I still think its worth the value plus to get the Bluray version also is nice! Well worth the money and the movie was great too!

The reboot is getting a bit tired by this chapter but some good moments worth watching. It needed a bit more risk and less predictable preaching.

Ties together the effects of the mistakes of the first movie with the lasting horrors of the Simian Flu of the second movie. Filled with literary, historic, and biblical allusion, there’s a lot to see and feel about watching two species refuse to recognize the opportunities is front of them. White knuckles and gritted teeth throughout.

The previous movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, surprised me in a good way. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, so I went ahead with the next in the series. While the visual effects are truly outstanding, "War" seemed to play out much slower paced than its predecessor for much of the movie. I'm sure that has something to do with the simple plot. Still, the amount of emotion conveyed by the virtual apes is quite remarkable, and even more compelling in 3D.

I have a huge liking for the new "Apes" films. I feel like the franchise has been handled with care and respect and the Blu Ray releases are evident of that. the transfer and presentation is great, and the features are pretty good. Hats off to Matt Reeves, his two fils are great, as is Rise, but these are definitely a must grab if you're a fan.

This movie is great and lots of action and the apes look so real especially when you watch this movie in 3D Blu-ray which adds to the adventure. It also comes with a Blu-ray movie in case you don't have a 3D Blu-ray player and TV. In addition you get the digital copy to watch anywhere. Don't forget to make some popcorn and enjoy an entertaining movie. Just don't go Ape over it. Lol.

It is to my surprise that this latest installment in the saga, was not very succesfull at the box office. The final chapter in the trilogy, has the most accomplished script, acting, human drama. The producers have polished their style from one movie to the other and this is one of the best finale in any movie franchise trilogy.

If you are thinking about buying this movie then there is a great chance that you have already seen the previous two movies, "Rise" and "Dawn." This movie continues the trend of greatness. Caesar is once again featured trying to lead the apes as best as he can. At this point you know what it's about, so just pop this in and enjoy.

Woody Harrelson tries hard but he can’t save us here. Not much of a war to see which you should have when it’s in the title!!

Huge fan of this series and Woody did a great job as a villain. There is a lot going on in this movie and the imagery is amazing. Character development is so strong you will forget they are not human and you will feel every emotion the movie throws at you.

Such a fantastic film, I was so weary of a reboot (even though I liked the Tim Burton one.) I just felt like it was a money grab, boy was I wrong! This trilogy was smart and so well done! I really hope that Disney continues on with this timeline instead of a reboot.

This movie was good, but not the best of the three. Things ramped up well in the story but it all seemed a little anticlimactic.

I still can't believe that a movie could make me sympathize so much for computer generated chimpanzees. There isn't much action if you're expecting that sort of thing (and you would, given the title), but if you can forgive that, you're going to find a very strong story that will probably have you shedding some tears.

Not as good as the previous two movies in the franchise reboot, but still good. The CG apes continue to surprise with realism and human expression. Woody Harrelson gives a performance above par for his career. The gap between how humanity is nearly wiped out (started in the earlier of the new movies) and how humanity becomes little more than cattle (from the Charleton Heston originals) is filled in nicely with drama and action to spare.

Good way to wrap up the series. I don't think there will be more, but if there are, it has been set-up in this movie. There are a few nods to the original, which make you believe if there was to be another in the series, it would be the 'original'. If you enjoyed the others, then you will like this one as well.

With it being the final part of the trilogy... the war between apes and humans... I expected an actual war movie... but instead, we got more of a drama. A movie showing a different angle of war. Which isn't a bad thing. The personal pain and suffering, the inner conflicts, loss, and how each person's reasons for fighting a war are different, and who's right and who's wrong is relative. A very good finale to an excellent trilogy.

This series is epic! Filled with bone crushing, blood splattering fights, makes for an intriguing movie, which demonstrates the brutality of an apocalyptic situation to include the oppressive nature of the human race over the Apes. Eventually the Apes triumph at the peril of the human race. Very good movie.

Back then wheb Rise of the Plabet of the Apes was announced, I thought it was a desperate cash grab by 20th Century Fox. Little did I know that it would become the surprise trilogy. Movies infused with smart scripts, social commentary and spectacular FX. This movie completes an amazing trilogy. A must have
