The final installment in one of the best trilogies. War for the Planet of Apes picks up several years later after the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Mankind has lost all hope and now it is Man vs. Ape for survival of the fittest. The Blu-Ray is a must own for fans of this franchise.

The modern APES movies keep getting better, and WAR is easily the most powerful of the bunch. Incredible effects, explosive cinematography and a story so emotionally affecting, you'll forget you are watching motion capture come to life. One of the best movies of the year, and an absolute must own on UHD.

It was a bitter end, but a great ending at the same time. Caesars story is over. This was a great trilogy and I truly enjoyed it. You can't compare this to the original Planet of the Apes movies. I still love them, but they where made before their time. I hope they continue the story and make more movie.

I really like the recent "Creation of the Planet of the Apes" trilogy. I am glad they waited the decades to make them. The motion capture is great in telling this story, the use of exterior sets in addition to green screen, make it real and alive.... the actors are exceptional in their "apes" roles....

This was an outstanding move. I would say that it rivals the 1st movie of the series. The plot is a little weird, but it explains the beginning of the ape dominance and the end of the human dominance. Caesar is the man, I mean, ape! This movie also has the best CGI so far. You have to have this in 4K!

Don't know why people did not flock to movie theaters on opening day it was awesome one of the best trilogy in a while I'm sad that it didn't make as much money as the second one cause I want more apes but who knows maybe someday really good do yourself a favor and watch this movie he'll watch all 3

The modern-day “Apes” series closes out (maybe?) with this fantastically entertaining entry. Andy Serkis + filmmaking wizardry makes Caesar and the other apes into fully-realized characters. For longtime fans, there’s a neat 20 minute feature on the series’ history. Highly recommended.

This new series of Apes movies has not disappointed (I do not include the Wahlberg disaster as part of this). James Franco and Caesar brought the Apes back to cinemas in a great way. Even the sequel Dawn was a good continuation of the story. War brings more depth and story to this fun series.

I have seen all the new Planet of the Apes movies, and enjoyed every one. I enjoyed this one at least as much as the previous movies, and the experience was made that much more enjoyable with the 3D version of the movie. I preferred the 3D version over the 4K version.

Good movie capping off a good trilogy at films. I’m getting nothing bad to say about the series or this one in particular. I’m surprised it didn’t make more money at the box office but do consider this one of the better films of the year. Well worth your time to view as well as purchase.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy, and this movie served as a perfect end cap. A compelling story, and a satisfying conclusion to Caesar's character arc. Would definitely recommend.

This is one of my favorite movies of the year. Matt Reeves did a fantastic job and wrapped up an amazing trilogy. Each of the movies have a different feel yet feel like a complete story. The three new planet of the apes films are definitely high of the list of the best trilogies ever!

Never been a huge fan of the Apes movies but I will say I did like them having Woody Harrelson in this one

I bought this 4K movie for my 4K Blu Ray Player as they were on sale for Black Friday. Great buy. Since they were on sale for Black Friday the price was great but the Blu Ray version would suffice. The movie itself was a great story. I liked the Easter eggs to the original movies.

It is remarkable to me how lifelike they can make the animals now with CGI. You forget that they are not real sometimes which is great! The story lines are just as great and really make you care! I still hold that the first movie is the best in this remake series but not by much!

A decent way to end the franchise. Not my favorite of the films. But a fun film nonetheless.

Highly underrated updated take on the old films... they've been labeling this as possibly the last of the new series, but they have been so well done, it's a shame that they've flown under the radar a bit as they don't attract the same attention as the all the superhero films.

Now this is how to finish out a movie franchise.....ON TOP!! I liked the first 2 movies but this one was clearly the best by far. Character development was superior, the plot kept my attention, and the writers managed to wrap up the trilogy very very neatly. Way to go team.

The revival of "Planet of the Apes" makes a satisfying return in the "War" outing. Acting is top-notch, as are the look and sound of the film. This is one sci-fi series with actual emotional appeal, something entirely missing from, say, the Marvel flicks. Highly recommended
