It is very nice, easy to operate and looks great. It would only be better if it would do fireplace sound. Also be aware that the dimensions given are for the box, and the actual fireplace is smaller.

My wife wanted a fireplace to hang in the spare bedroom, after searching for a while we found this perfect item. It was a little bigger that what she expected, but once up it looks and works great. The directions say to hang this 36" from the ceiling, you need to add about two inches because the diagram is not to the mounting holes but to the top of the device. This is heavy and takes two people two line up the three mounting bolts you placed in the wall. The directions show a picture of the remote changing the settings or you can do this by hand. this located on the left side of the fireplace next to the wall. The book makes it look like it's in front and you see the lights changing with the different remote buttons being pushed. The device works as expected and a great add on to the room. Wife is very happy!

nice look, dont run heat on high if you have a t.v. above, might not use the heat and just build in wall - this is the way i would use it, wish heat came out top front instead of top top. over all i love it, the look is great. Maybe build some sort of deflector or wood or stone mantel between. iam happy with the moneyi spent on this and i did a considerable amount of research. what was nice is that if i didnt like i could just bring back to any best buy.

It looks great in my living room. It provides the warmth and look I was looking for. Definitely a good buy.

Beautiful ambiance created by my new fireplace ! Although it would be nice if the heat vent was located in another area , I’m overall pleased with this product

Fireplace gives room ambiance and also provides heat for a medium size rec room such as mine.Heat was a pleasant surprise!!!

This unit is easy to install (1) person. The flame has two settings. The low setting has the same calming effect at night that a fish tank does during the day. If you like relaxing in the evening with a good book, this is an excellent addition. The realistic flames exceeded my expectations for this unit. It was money well spent. I did have to make a diverter for the heat because it was installed below a wall mounted TV. No big deal there. My neighbor liked it so much, he bought one as well. Overall, I'm delighted with it.

I am a research KING. My wife and i wanted something to take the chill off our finished walk out basement when the radiant was not running. For the size of the unit and fairly realistic gas looking flame, it is a great value!! Log was broke when we opened the box, but a piece of tape to keep the light from coming up on ceiling fixed that small problem. Flame does not look as realistic as in the photo, but it has some guests asking if it a gas fireplace. I hid the cord so no one knows it is electric!!!! adds class and ambiance to our large den/media room. This will heat 400-500 sq. feet pretty easy and fairly quick. Heat comes from top, so we have 20'' from ceiling and it is fine. We brought the temp up 4 degrees in our 800 sq ft den while watchin a movie last night. It was 35 outside. Best buy has the best price around at $369. Don't waste time looking anywhere else. Thanks

Looks great, but heat comes out of the top. It would be better if the heat came out of the bottom or out of the front. Because it comes out of the top, it required 36" of space. I put this below my wall mounted TV about 2' and it gets too hot. I had to buy a plastic diverter, which only works on low because it gets too hot on high. Started to melt the first diverter I bought because it gets so hot. Another issue is how it hangs. If you put it at a standard fireplace height, you can see the three hangers that protrude from the top. I think they could have done a better job hiding them. After all is said and done, I will likely take it back until I can find something else. I would recommend this...if you have the space for it considering my issues.
