Bad service

Major damages due to Best Buy negligence

After discovery power failure caused from water draining to the first floor, it was found to be from water in the laundry. Upon further inspection, Best Buy's installer failed to install the drain hose into the drain. Best Buy was contacted the same day and has failed to call me back in 24 hours for the property claim request. Best Buy's offer to also perform a reinstall has failed. They called within one hour of the reinstall time to advise their driver was in an accident. More than a day later, no one has called to follow-up on the reinstall.

Horrible installation!

First, i noticed the washing machine was not in a box on the truck, i didn't order an open box product, otherwise it would have been cheaper. The install only took about 5 to 10 minutes. They came in set the machine down, hooked up the water connections placed the drain hose, plugged it in and said i was all set. They didnt level the machine or perform a test run, i had to ask for the manual for it too. I then noticed they didn't put the hose guide for the drain and they didn't leave the one which comes with the machine either, probably because the gave me a used machine with the soap spots i noticed in the drum. The only thing they did was attach a zip tie to hold the hose in place, which they attached to my cold water valve and now the valve is facing the wall instead of the front, i pray the valve isnt leaking behind the wall because of the carelessness of the installers. I hope someone at Best Buy reads this and tries to make this right.

Massive vibration as result of poor installation

The attached photo shows how the units moved dramatically after completing one normal wash cycle. The units were in perfect position prior to wash. They vibrated so much that they moved dramatically to the point one could not even open dryer door. The installers connected the washer and showed it ran but they did not run spin cycle to show proper balance. Furthermore, these installers "discovered" there was no plug for the washer electrical cord. They used extension cord to show it worked. This is despite having come several times before and postponing installation for one matter or another. The units are unsusable.

Insignia washer

However I got a brand new washer and it’s doing the same thing . Smh, water is coming out of the washer , water is all over the floor due to the washer , I’m beginning to think I made a bad purchase.

Washing machine not working code C4

Either is bad connection, o the hose is stuck or the faucets are closed. We can’t move the washing machine to check . Very bad service

Washer & Dryer Dropped off but not installed.

I had to hook it up myself when I got home the following day. If you have to pay $100-$200 for someone to install a washer and dryer they should be able to change out a faucet.

Scratched Washer and water line hook up leak

They scratched up the sides of my brand new black samsung washer and dryer. I opted for a credit from best buy because I don't want to wait for a new set. I need clean clothes now and I figured it's just cosmetic and it's in the basement. Still a bit infuriating that 1)they didn't tell me and 2) I spent a lot on a new set that came damaged. BUT that's not the worst part. They neglected to tell me that one of the water hookups is leaking even when not in use. It leaks even with the hook up turned off. I came down the stairs and noticed a big leak all over my basement floor. Heck, I would have been okay if they said "hey you got a leak but it wasn't me!" At least they would have told me instead of letting me find a water mess all over the floor. Now my "scratch credit" is going to a plumber who I am confident will let me know that the "installers" messed up.

Where do they get these guys?

We had one leave the Hot water valve slightly open and flooded the room. Then he told me that we would need to call a plumber to replace it before we could get the install. Imagine the look on his face if he would have seen me turn the know a little bit and stop the flow. If you do use their movers, supervise the install from the truck to its final resting place.

Slight Error

I am without a manual and my washer makes a weird noise when I put it on one of the settings

They said they would be back in after the load finished, but never came back in. We never signed for the delivery either. We waited all day thinking they might come back, but they did not.

Delivery with refusal to install

Two days later it became defective, and Best Buy promptly scheduled a pickup and delivery of new unit with install. The Best Buy geek squad guys picked old unit up and literally dropped off new unit in my laundry room and refused to install. I am very disappointed, and can’t get a quick date from Best Buy to get someone to come back out to install. Best Buy is apologetic, but I am left for days without an install that was paid for originally. .

So i cant be on your side , last time i i will deal with best buy

Washer, dryer, and fridge

It's too heavy for my husband and I to move out of it's small area. Now the unit hits hard when it is on spin cycle. Very disappointing after the first washer was defective and leaked all over our hardwood floors.

Cory Companies, the 3rd party vendor Best Buy uses, has poor delivery team talent and even worse management. My brand new home was flooded multiple times as a result of a bad installation that they fail to accept responsibility for. Best Buy store staff and management has been excellent, this review is all about Cory Companies. If you use their service be sure to watch the unboxing and install. I was left with a $400 bill for plumbers to clean up their mess. They are unwilling to accept the responsibility despite telling me to pay plumbing to fix their mess. They also damaged my fridge and told me to tell the store it was like that from the factory. When I did not agree they said if I did not cooperate they would have to pay for the damages. Well, you should, you caused the damage. Cory Companies is a shady company. Do not be tempted with free delivery.

DAMAGE AND RUN!!!

Keaton (Geek Squad, installer) did a poor job installing the fill hose which caused flooding in my home. I got him to come back and showed it to him but he is so proud and did not even apologize for what he has caused. Got a claim opened but that’s about it. Sedgwick, their 3rd party claim handler, will do nothing and will just let your house rot and grow molds until you give up, no matter how often you follow up. I’m a week short for my first month of waiting for nothing. This is how they treat their elite members.

Sucks

So when the installers came they connected a pipe to water outlet then the spliter. I knew that was wrong because there was a picture on samsung website showing spliter connected to water outlet. So i told him and he said just let me do this i know what i am doing. I left him alone for a bit and when i returned he was done. He asked me to sign papers and left. I inspected the dryer and saw all screws on dryer door was stripped. Missing screw on dryer door. He just did a really poor job. Installers are sub-contractors so they work really fast and they really dont care about the job. They just want to get in and get out. I was only allowed to upload 2 pictures. So i showed the missing screw and how you installed the water spliter for steam cycle. You can go to samsung website to see the correct way.

Worst experience with Best Buy Installation

The guy who came to install it, did not install it properly and there was a water leakage in the washer room and then water came down into 1st floor ceiling. No body is there to help and best buy is just able to create a ticket for geek squad to take care. The whole process with geek squad is not straight forward. We struggled a lot to fix the issues temporarily with huge expenses and man power. I can't even explain it, we just moved to that new home 2 days ago got all works done and ready to start new life and this particular best buy installation messed up and pushed us 3 months behind.

INSTALLER FORGETS TO INSTALL DRAIN HOSE!

Installer came, installed washer and dryer. 1st installer walked my wife through washer start-up where HE started washer and had her complete paperwork. Problem is HE FORGOT TO INSTALL THE DRAIN HOSE! Shortly after they left, our upstairs laundry room flooded, soaking through floor and damaging down stair office ceiling. Had to get up remaining water best we could ourselves. Called Best Buy support to send person back out and 2nd installer came back out and admitted to 1st installer "forgetting". Best Buy said we contract this out and to "just respond to customer survey" to file complaint which was never received. So replying to this review as my method of review and resolution. Photos attached.
