So, at first, i was very concerned and was wondering if this Premium Solar Panel was really going to help me keep my Nest Cam battery fully charged. Well, I've had this solar panel for 10 days now and have gone through rain, cloudy days, and sunny days, and i now have an idea on how this panel works to keep my nest cam charged. If you have any concerns about not being able to see your battery percentage from the google home app on a smartphone after connecting the solar panel, because all it says is (Solar) please know that the work around is going to your google nest Hub display and tap "home control" find your nest cam and you'll be able to see the battery percentage from there. I added a picture showing both my phone google home app and the google home hub display together showing the camera info at the same time. So as long as you have a google home hub display whether it be the 7 inch or 10 inch, you will be able to see the battery percentage. Now i get a lot of traffic on my google nest cam on my driveway where i installed the camera and based on my high usage with everything set to max on the camera, the battery gets charged between 68% to 76% with the (Premium Solar Panel) so even though the manual says it charges it to 70% to preserve battery life, it gives you a bit more but stays pretty stable even on cold rainy days and cloudy days which surprised me. I did feel disappointed about the 70% max battery charging from the solar panel but i didnt notice a reduction in performance from the google nest battery camera and as you can see from my image, 69% is pretty good for my camera being on for 10 days straight with every setting on as im trying to protect my car in my driveway. I installed the solar panel in my driveway tent and installed my nest cam battery in the middle of the tent, the cable is indeed 13ft and i feel that for my needs thats plenty but do wish they would have made the solar panel cable detachable should we need a longer than 13ft charge cable we can purchase one from the company if they had one. Overall i am very happy with my purchase and can tell you that the premium version of the solar panel is the best choice for the nest cam battery out of the other lower wattage version. Plus if you dont want to keep using a latter to take down the nest cam to charge then this is a no brainer. Ill take the 70% constant battery percentage using the Premium Solar Panel over zero% battery life any day. About the 4 star review, i did that because: 1. no where in the description does it say that the premium solar panel only charges the nest cam battery up to 70%, then it stops charging it (though ive gotten up to 76% on a sunny day) 2. The cable is not detachable and if you need more then 13 feet of cable length for your specific installation, you are pretty much out of luck at the posting of this review as i didnt see any available extended cable for this product. Again i highly recommend it and know that you wont be disappointed with your purchase and definitely worth 100% it's asking price and i would definitely buy it again for another nest cam battery powered outdoor security camera.

Very good option if you don't want to charge your battery. I installed my camera in a high traffic commercial parking lot with continuous activity. It was installed in the shade with no direct sunlight and after about 1.5 weeks I checked the battery level and it went down to 70%. For about 6 days it was at "infinity" level. The plastic mount is a little flimsy. Ultimately decided to get the power cord to alow for continuous recording.

Easy to install, charges the camera no issues. The cable lenght is good.

Absolutely wonderful, camera lets me watch live feed as if it is plugged in. Saved me a lot of headache to run a power wire

The plug that connects these to outdoor nest cameras is not strong enough to make a solid connection. Intermittently charges when wind is a factor. I replaced the first two that i had because I thought they were defective. Turns out all of them are like that. Tested on several of the 10 outdoor nest cams we have and all had the same problem. Great idea, not the best execution.

Does not work at all. Never worked from the start. Waste of money.
