The device worked when I set it up. The screws and everything were perfect. However, I have not seen a good result with this device keeping the Ring door bell charged per the instruction on the device. I have placed this device in the perfect place where the solar is hitting it daily. I still have to charge the Ring doorbell.

Easy to install works great the only thing is that the base is not the same size as the ring u would have to drill new holes to install it correctly other than that it’s Works awesome

Stopped working after 1 week, never got around to returning it. Will buy the actual ring brand instead.

Returned with the ring doorbell because the doorbell quit working when temperature dropped below 5 degrees.

Lookin the alerts I get. But I’ve had problems a few times with ring going off line but will prob have geek squad come out and set me up

If you don’t hard wire the doorbell into your hose this is the way to go. Easy set up and looks nice. I would recommend changing the doorbell prior to the install.

I have an older ring doorbell and it seems I have to charge it more often. The solar charger works but I have not had it long enough to see how winter works.

Did not charge my doorbell above 20 percent. I would stick to the RING brand.

When ordering my doorbell. The site suggested this solar panel. I tried installing and wondered why it wasn’t fitting. Low and behold this the wrong solar panel. The Ring doorbell that i ordered with this was 2nd generation. Meanwhile this is for a Ring 2. Now i see they only give you two weeks to return

Purchased this to keep from having to charge battery in my ring. I first charged my ring before I installed the solar unit. Without this unit my ring unit charge lasted about three months. With the solar unit it started discharging. Within three week my unit is now needing to be charged. Would not recommend.

I made an appt for a 7am to 1pm slot. I work nights, i left work an hour or so early to be home in time to meet that commitment since i was first on the list EXCEPT that meant 10 am!! Due to .....covid. Not the tech's fault but i was very upset, i gave up money and sleep. my tech however was very polite, kind and understanding of my annoyance. Extremely helpful. Even though the person who had done the assestment bought the wrong solar charger for my ring doorbell.

It does help but not enough to keep the door bell working.

It doesn’t charge my ring. I get some sun on front porch but I guess it’s not enough. It almost seemed like it was draining my battery. I had to charge my ring more often. Now I’m stuck with this useless device. Wish I could get my money back.....

This did nothing, in fact the doorbell ran out of charge faster connected to this device somehow. I exchanged it once just in case the first one was defective. The device was in full sun for 50% of daytime hours.

I would avoid this solar charger (or try and return after 2 weeks). I kept a log and either the drain was not enough to be charged by the solar charger or it did not charge at all. Keep away or use with caution.

my family love this doorbell being able to see who is at the door without opening has made lif easier.

From the moment it was installed it, the battery level decreased the same as before. It is installed on a westward facing exposure and has sun for about 6-8 hours a day in the summer. Waste of money!

This will be nice if I don’t have a lot of traffic where it’s at. I think I might just hard wire it so it will charge faster.
