I like this game. It was fun and i loved the hacking aspect and how nearly everything can be hacked into. You gain a feel for the game pretty fast, and the learning curve it not to steep so you enjoy it. Sometimes its nothing better driving past and activating a traffic jam or blockers to stop cops dead in their tracks. I also like they give you different options on how to complete missions. Its a great game recommend to anyone who enjoy a pretty open world game with allot of stuff to do.

Overall a good game, open world makes you explore what the city has to offer. There are repetitive side missions. Just like ubisoft likes to do with its games. A fictional Chicago looks fantastic to explore.

Watch Dogs is a good looking game. Using the abilities within the game exceeds my expectations. I was thinking that while driving it'd be really hard to use the special power ups. But it's not. They've done well in that regard. The same is for when on foot as well, easy to use the powerups.
Things that are minor but do break from the realism is the over the top usage of language in the game. More than normal amount of cursing is heard while walking down the street. Didn't think that was necessary. Another issue is that it's easy to get caught in between other criminals and the police and having to endure a police chase just because you were near another criminal.
Overall the game is fun and the story is compelling.

I haven't even finished this game yet and let me just tell you that everything about this game is incredible. From the hacking to the shoot out segments in between missions. The open world is phenomenal and the how the game plays is just excellent. Aidan Pearce is one of the most fantastic characters I have seen in a game even though he's always so serious, but how can you blame him? His 6 year old daughter, Lena, was murdered by someone in the mob but he must track down his daughter's killer and seek revenge for her. This game is just AMAZING! Please, if any of you are reading this review out there, do yourself a favor and pick up watch dogs right now. I promise you will not regret it.

I think the game is fun for what it does. Lots of people were going into it with extremely high expectations and may have felt let down. The game was probably hyped a little too much.
The story is ok, you get your moneys worth out of the length, and the multiplayer is pretty good especially when other hackers seamlessly invade your game and you have to find them(This is all optional though you can turn it off)
I fully recommend it now that it is in the bargain bin. $60? I would probably advise against it for most people. $20? Heck yeah well worth it.

Addicted to this game since Day 1. Everything about it is amazing, from the in depth storyline, diverse and interesting characters, to spectacular graphics and awesome free roam. I could spend hours playing this game. Once I finish it, I'll definitely be replaying it in a couple years.

Like any game, it takes some time to get used to the gameplay. It is definitely worth the patience and persistence to learn all the controls. This game has a great story line and great features. You can hack pretty much anything and take down an enemy by hacking things and not even touching them.

Hacking is fun and opens up new ways to play within the world. Online hacking is a great thrill on both sides. Graphics on PS4 are quite good for the most part and night-time rain storms look great. The attention to detail can be quite high in some areas of the game, while less-used areas are merely functional.
Driving model is not as tight as other open world games; the vehicles feel too floaty and you don't get a sense of weight, unlike in GTA V. Side quests can start to feel like a checklist of things to do and are not as diverse as in GTA

This game is entertaining and different. You're given the chance to explore an open world and hack everything, giving you an edge over your opposition. It reminds me of a cross between GTA and Person of Interest. The story is interesting and the gameplay is addictive. Highly recommended!

Had some doubts when Ubisoft originally pushed the game back a year but wow you can see it. Some may complain that the game doesn't look like the E3 trailer originally shown but this isn't Colonial Marines.
The story and the graphics are top notch, working on Platinuming the game now.

Watch Dogs is what you get when you combine GTA open-world style violence and gameplay with The Matrix, and is probably the only game where your character spends more time standing on a corner staring at a smartphone screen than driving or shooting.
The story is well put together and introduced in near psychedelic style dreams and flashbacks, and follows a master hacker trying to track down his families murderers after a massive hacking score.
Gameplay is tight, and is a combination of Assassins creed parkour, splinter cell style distraction mechanics and close combat, and GTA third person shooting. Driving is the only part thats not well handled, as breathing on my PS4 controller causes even my beat up van to go to maximum acceleration, and the roads are apparently always wet as even a gentle turn can cause you to slide out.
Side missions make this worthwhile, and you can spend an hour oing nothing but wandering around playing with the profiler app and collecting bank account data. Some of the click points are frustrating, as you might hack the wrong person or alert the wrong target, but theres such a wealth of side and back story that its contantly an adventure. Hacking will be your bread and butter obviously, but its just so much simple fun that even the nerdy ARG games they loaded in are worth dumping a few hours on.
Audio is top notch, though the propensity to make your hero constantly sound like he's gargling marbles is getting out of hand. The graphics are simply sublime. While they couldn't do the whole loop to exacting scale, I could easily recognize certain streets and buildings and the feeling of scale and distance were nearly perfect. The only fault I've found is some of the smash cuts during the hacking between cameras can be almost nauseating on a large high end screen, and you can easily get turned around.
Theres only a handful of nits. The cops are nigh unstoppable Terminator like automata, and I died about 4 times on the opening mission doing nothing but trying to escape a police search zone and running headlong into a roadblock that you always cant see until its too late. Driving is too hocky pucky most of the time, and the amount of time you have to intervene in certain crime side missions is way too short.
Overall, this is great. Tight storyline, entertaining gameplay, gorgeous audio and graphics, and engaging characters. Literally the only reasons its not 5 stars is the difficulty of evading police in even low level pursuits, the handling of vehicles, and the graphical overlay during some of the hacknig mechanics. A definite buy and a 4.5 stars edging so close to 5.
Update: After some more play I ahd to bump this up to 5 stars. There's some more mechanics of combat that I hadnt really uncovered, and they add not only a layer of realism but also keep the game from being near impossible. It takes a moment for a enemy to spot you, and doing so doesnt mean they instantly alert every other guard. You're still limited to mostly luring and dropping enemies one at a time, but just because you're a master hacker doesnt mean you're Batman.

Cool open world with many different types of missions, and the hacking with your phone is a cool aspect. Stealth missions aren't that good though, you automatically fail if caught.

I got this game pre-owned for $8. It is a unique game with all the hacking tools you use compared to other games. It is a GTA like game, but the driving part isn't that great

So far, it is a fun game and I would recommend it. The obvious comparison for a game of this type is to GTA. I don't think Watch Dogs is as good as GTA V, but then again, not many games are. The hacking mechanics do a good enough job of differentiating the gameplay. GTA V is also not on next-gen consoles - at least not yet - so if you want an open-world game on your new system that tries to introduce new gameplay ideas, give Watch Dogs a shot.

Overall this game exceeded my expectations, it has a great storyline, the graphics are great, and its along the lines of Grand Theft Auto V where you can run around, steal cars and go for a cruise around the city.

I really liked the game, it wasn't 100% to my expectations because I thought I would have been more sucked to the game than I am but it's still a really good game. I would be more sucked into it if I played more main missions but they have so much extra side missions.

I was worried about getting this for a while being very similar to GTA, but it's not, very different, the cut scenes are fun, the game play is great, hacking the cTOS is a lot of fun. The best part is, it takes place in the greatest city in the world, Chicago!

Watch Dogs is a fun, open world game that encourages the player to use the environment to their advantage. The story is a great set up to let the player feel empowered in a way that many games haven't thought of. I can't wait to see where this series goes from here.
