The water tastes great. Yes, it is rather expensive, especially when you compare it to our old KitchenAid built-in water filters. However, it does last a long time, and I don’t want to risk a possibly lower quality knock off.

This item does not seem available and while supposedly it is the correct water filter replacement for my Dacor fridge, it turns out the originally installed filter is a Samsung DA97-17376B found here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/water-filter-for-select-samsung-refrigerators-white/5859301.p?skuId=5859301 Lesson learned: check the actual water filter installed in your fridge before purchasing a replacement
