Filter is fairly easy to install and results in fresh tasting water. Only wish it was good for more than six months.

We bought our new fridge about 9 months ago from Best Buy and our filter was good for 6m. We weren't sure we'd be able to find the proper filter locally and didn't know Best Buy sold them. After going to several other stores we finally went to Best Buy just to see and *BAM*. This is the correct filter and now my water and ice taste better!

The water filter I purchased was what LG company recommends for my model of the refrigerator. The instillation was very straight forward, mostly because the turning directions (clockwise/counter clockwise) are clearly marked on the permanent part of the refrigerator. Hooray for clarity of instructions.

Great tasting water for my LG fridge. Easy to install

I bought a new LG black stainless steel refrigerator didn't have one and salesperson didn't mention I needed to buy one when I bought the refrigerator. I wanted the ice maker on the door to have more space but the water filter still takes some space and it's a much needed item.

The filter works great, easy to install. The included month and number stickers for your calendar and the filter itself is a very helpful tool for remembering when you installed the filter. We drink a lot of water and these filters last nearly a year before they need to be changed.

Very easy to install, located in a convenient spot. It is expensive for a filter.

We recently purchased an LG refrigerator upon moving into our new home. This is the filter required for our model. Not that the tap water is bad in our location but it definitely tastes better after filtered. You can really tell when it is time to replace. The water gets a slightly "off" taste to it.

This filter like the filter for our previous refrigerator (different brand), is more expensive than I think it needs to be. Why are water filters for the whole house cheaper than the ones you have to buy for your refrigerators? You are stuck having to buy these so I guess there isn't much else to say. The ease of replacing them is the design of the refrigerator, not the filter.

The filter does a good job and is easy to replace. But it's pricey.

I always recommend sticking to the OEM brand filters for optimal performance. Even though they are priced a little bit higher than 3rd party brands, its definitely worth it to avoid any high priced damages/repairs! Great investment for every 6 months!

One of the inconveniences you gain when you have a refrigerator that dispenses water is having to occasionally replace the water filter. This means having to set a reminder at the manufacturer's recommended interval to change it. Mine is recommended to be changed every six months. The real inconvenience is having to flush out a couple of gallons of water (although to be safe I do three). So why the five stars? The value Best Buy gave when they dropped the price of this filter to nearly half of what I would normally pay means I can buy a year's worth of filters for half a year's worth of pricing. That opened up my budget to spend a few bucks on some gadgets at Best Buy that I normally wouldn't have. Keep an eye on the Daily Deals!
