Been using these for five (5) years. It's a pretty solid unit, or so I believed. Recently after replacing I noticed something loose inside the old one i removed. Cut it open to look inside. Appears the inlet stem on the charcoal element had become unseated and the small black washer on the stem may have been installed wrong. (I put it on correctly for the photo) I'll probably buy it again, but I'll check it before installing next time.

As other reviewers have noted, Samsung has changed the fittings on this filter and they no longer fit some refrigerator models with which this filter is supposed to be compatible. The photo shows the old filter (which was an Insignia brand) on the left and the new Samsung filter on the right. Note that the fittings are different. The old filter fit very well. The new filter does not fit in my refrigerator and is useless to me. I will be returning it and will never purchase a Samsung refrigerator.

I am writing a review because my first subscription for 2 pack refrigerators water filter fits properly. Unfortunately, the second subscription for 2 pack refrigerators water filter has a different notch and can't fit. I am unable to return because one year has lapsed, My lesson learned is don't subscribed. Order as you need it. A bit more expensive but it will not be a total loss.

Great price and quality and seamless to replace existing filter

Perfect fit for my Samsung refrigerator; very easy to install; no leaks and great tasting water. I'm a firm believer in using only original Samsung products.

it does fit, but like other reviews i had to cut it with a box cutter just a bit to have it fit in my Samsung refrigerator. i would still buy it since its the original OEM and not a counterfeit or replica

Filter is great once you install it. It doesn’t fit in its original shape but we were able to find a solution online and reshape it to work.

I have purchased the 2 pack of these filters twice already. I considered getting them from amazon.com this time, but apparently amazon is shipping knock offs sometimes as the Samsung brand. These work exactly as expected. I have never had an issue installing them either.

The filter works well on our Samsung refrigerator, but is difficult to install. This is the brand and filter type recommended by Samsung. I've replaced the filter several times in the past and they have always been somewhat challenging to install, but this time I had to remove some shelves to get the new filter installed.

These filters remove the strong chlorine taste from my tap water. The 2-packs are cheaper than single packs.

Great mouse. Available for store pick up as indicated. Store pick up took well over 15 minutes. Not because they were busy but nobody was at the store pick up desk. It would have been quicker to buy it in the store.

I often buy generic filters, but some don't have the filtering ability of brand name. These brand name items filter finer particles than some generic (check the label of generic before you buy). In addition, using a generic invalidates the refrigerator's warranty. Finally, buying in a multipack (they have bigger ones, too) reduce the cost.
