You can adjust the pressure gradually as your gums become stronger. It is not necessarily a goal to use the product at the highest setting; however, our products are tested at number seven.     Was honestly super pleased initially with this item. Unfortunately, after using it once/twice daily for just barely over a month it completely stopped working for no reason whatsoever. Did love it while it worked, but what a waste of money for only a month of use.
