The kids played it lots and loved the different packs.

After the criminally short level packs like Back to the Future, The Simpsons, and Midway Arcade, I was hesitant to pick up any more. Rest assured, this is not only one of the best Lego levels, but one of the best Sonic games since his forays on the Genesis and Sega CD. They've finally succeeded in combining classic Sonic gameplay with the third dimension, and added a nice story to the mix that pokes fun at conventions, such as Eggman being called Robotnik in the States, Big the Cat's lameness, and Eggman's constant attempts to stop Sonic always being thwarted. There are also quite a few stages, and, while each is short, mix things up nicely. I especially liked the level where you have Sonic inside Eggman's base while Tails in his biplane takes on Eggman himself in a feverish battle in the skies above, with you alternating control between the two. Sonic himself is a fun character, with his trademark moves like Spin Dash, homing attack jump, speed (he travels as fast as many vehicles) and a rare rail grind ability, with a unique Adventure World which provides a lot of opportunities to make use of all of these, and his many friends from past outings serving as mission givers. Also, any character visiting his level or Adventure world gets his speed (but not spin dash) abilities while there, so if you want to play through the levels as Mr. T or Homer Simpson, you'll be able to. It still doesn't reach the high points of the Lego standalone games, like Lego Star Wars's Jedi arena battle, or the final fight against Anakin on Mustafar, nor does it give us a level as intense as the final battle in Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast (though it trumps most of the rest of that game), but it is my favorite Lego Dimensions level thus far, and a step in the right direction for level packs in general.

Sonic the Hedgehog has been through a lot in his 25 year history. He's risen to become on of the most iconic video game characters of all time, though he's spawned hundreds of bad titles in recent years (anyone remember when they turned him into a werewolf?). Now, to give the fastest thing alive his due, LEGO Dimensions is adding him to what can only be described as the best Sonic game in years. Joining the ranks of Doctor Who and Ninjago, Sonic receives his own level and world to play around in, running through the famous Green Hill Zone to battling against Doctor Eggman (or Doctor Ivo Robotnik to those older fans) for control of the Chaos Emeralds. Along the way, his supporting cast, such as Knuckles, Shadow, Big, Tails, and Amy, end up in their own sorts of trouble, leading the little blue hedgehog to go out and do what he does best: save the day before a quick chilly dog break! Now I can only say that, from the perspective of a Sonic fan, this is the best Sonic game I've played in years. This isn't a forced game with wonky controls or a cheap story, because this is a tribute to Sonic's 25th anniversary, so you get all the best aspects of it. Yeah, it can feel less like it if you have Homer Simpson and Peter Venkman helping him out, but this is strictly Sonic's time to shine. And you get it all, from Roger Craig Smith as the voice actor to plenty of snide comments about Doctor Eggman's egg themed devices. This is exactly the kind of game Sonic, and LEGO, needed, so make sure to pick this up and add it to your collection. Trust me, you'll have a blast seeing Sonic back in true form.

This fun pack was on sale for a very nice price and the character is a great addition to the Lego Dimension game series. Family friendly game. Highly recommended.

It's so cool to have Sonic as a LEGO! The figure itself is adorable and the level in the game is excellent! Lots of LEGO fun mixed with Sonic nostalgia. Like the modern Sonic games, the controls are a bit wonky at times because it's hard to control Sonic at faster speeds, but otherwise it's one of the best sets for Dimensions!

The story for this has a good amount of gameplay and fans of the old Sonic games for Sega will love the nods they give to the old game and how much of the level plays. The controls for the Sonic character are maybe the trickiest to get the hang of of any of the characters I've used (which is 90% of them), but he is ridiculously fast and fun to zip around and collect coins to get to the Rule Breaker on each level

While our 4 year old absolutely loves playing Lego Dimensions, it's truly a game the whole family can enjoy. The Sonic level pack was great and proved no different than the other level packs. We highly recommend this, and wish Lego would keep producing different packs.

Bought this for my 10 year old nephew. He likes Sonic and Classic Sonic games and he likes Lego. The Lego Dimensions packs are fun to put together, they look cool and play great in the video games using the Sonic characters.

This pack unlocks all the levels for Sonic the Hedgehog. Once this is purchased you'll be able to get all the levels for Sonic. If you were a fan of Sonic in the 90's you'll love this pack. 10 speed hogs out of 10.

The LEGO dimensions game overall is great and the character pack gives you access to different levels. My son is only 5 years old so I help him build the characters, but he’s able to play the game on his own.

Sonic character and game play are, you guessed it, fun. The level is well layed out with lots to do. Sonic character adds a lot to playing lego dimensions because of his powers and speed. Fun stuff!!!

When I bought Lego dimensions I knew right away that this was the first pack to buy and man it is amazing and the add on level is way better than the whole game of sonic forces

This was a fun level pack because sonic is a classic character and my boys enjoy playing as him. New levels are always fun to play so they recommend this sonic level pack.

I got this pack for my nephew because he loves Sonic, and he is so excited to be able to have Sonic characters on his WiiU. Great add on pack for lego dimensions!

My daughter loves the LEGO dimensions stuff. She already enjoys LEGOs by itself, then playing with them on the game after is so much fun for her.

I purchased this product to play with my Nephew and we have a blast. It is nice to see LEGO pull from different genres for there characters
