The Western Digital Black series are marketed as performance gaming drives, but honestly I did not purchase this because of performance. I had a 2 TB hard drive used for file storage fail on me, and I needed to replace it. Speed was not a concern, but reliability and size were. The ED Black series has a longer warranty (5 years) than the Blue series, for not much more cost. 6 TB seems to be the sweet spot for capacity/price, and leaves lots of room to grow. So far the drive is running fine; relatively quiet, easy to format, no complaints. A bonus is you can access the WD version of Acronis True Image for backups.

This is an excellent HDD probably one of the fastest HDD you can get. I work amazing have had no problems setting it up.

Worked as expected right out of the box, all six were available. Got it on a good deal for less than $20 per gig overall can't complain. Shipping was quick and purchasing was very easy

The wd-black experience has been a pleasant one except for the fact that it is only 5.46tb which is not best buy's fault but a wd one . I bought this to replace my seagate barracuda 2tb (1.8tb actual) which was showing signs of failure. It came at a price that was just right after the gift card applied and considering the current market prices of storage. Speed is nothing special considering the marketing claims after checking smart info. All-in all , a good buy. My experience with the 2 customer agents whose names I dont remember now , one who gave me a gift card and other helped me sort out sign-in were really sweetest people I have had the pleasure of messaging to. I will definitely be buying from Best Buy again.
