Customers praise the BLACK SN750 500GB Internal Gaming SSD PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe for its performance, affordability, and ease of installation. Many reviewers highlight the fast boot times and ample storage capacity for the price. While some users noted that the drive can get warm under heavy use and may have compatibility issues with older systems, the positive feedback on speed and value outweighs these concerns. The overall experience is largely positive, making it a popular choice for gamers and other users.

So far so good. Got my games installed on it and they run so fast. I have other SSDs but this M2 is of course better. Just compare the specs and price! Installed on my asrock x570 pro board as secondary storage/game drive without issues. Just needed to initialize disk in disk management and all good.

WD Black SN750 was my alternative to Samsung NVME. They are reliable, fast and slightly cheaper. I would suggest these if you can't or don't need the extra tier of Samsung NVME. I am actually using this in my personal gaming laptop and I love it.

WD has always made good drives, whether they're SSDs or HDDs, internal or external, Blue, Green, Black, etc.
I was looking for an upgrade to my existing SSD since I have an X570 motherboard and thus can take advantage of the hardware if I get the right kind of storage for it. Now sure, there are definitely existing NVMe drives that can provide more storage at a similar price, but the theoretical speeds tend to be lower as a means of trying to compensate.
Though really, I use this thing just to put my OS on it and a few games, but still, I can actually tell the difference between it and the previous Kingston SSD I had, so the performance is definitely noticeable.
Now I will say that the price is a wee bit much for 500GB, but that's what happens when it comes from a mainstream company like WD, though really, you also are paying for what you get nowadays with storage, so it makes sense.
Do I recommend it? Yep, but wait for a sale if you can.

Easy to install. Great price. Blazing fast speed.
I load and get into a game of rocket league in the same time that the rocket league loading screen is still loading on my Xbox. Just crazy how fast this ssd drive loads things.

I purchased this for my HP Pavilion. Easy install. I backed up my old hard drive on an external hard drive - cloning it -- as I have one drive I keep just for this, created a boot USB, removed the old hard drive, installed the WD-Black in the desktop, ran the start up on the boot USB, then went through the initial set up for Windows on the WD-Black, then downloaded and ran a WD clone app back to the external hard drive via USB that I previously cloned. Worked the first time with no issues. This WD-Black hard drive allowed me to expand the space I needed for myself and my spouse to telework from one desktop and sync our office files with our work files (we crashed the old one unintentionally maxing it out). Great speed, easy set-up, no hassle if you follow the steps I listed above. It took about a day to get it done -- over a weekend, but no issues and works like a champ. Highly recommended.

Surprised by the size of this. Simple to install onto the motherboard (be advised, it does not come with the m2 screw, check your motherboard for that). Easy setup, really fast.

This was purchased as the key upgrade element for a project to refurbish a gently-used Lenovo Legion Y530. The HDD was ready to be replaced, and this 500GB SSD fit my budget nicely. I paired it with a new 500GB SATA SSD as well, using this drive for system files and core apps.
Installation was easy, although I needed to scrounge up a single M2 5mm screw to secure the drive.
The laptop's performance is much faster, and best of all: regular software updates are no longer dreaded as they take very little time. The full OS install and all updates took less than an hour, whereas before a single software update was lucky to finish overnight.

Put in a Lenovo S340-15iil to replace the drive that came with it, boot times sliced in half over the SSD That came with it. Software with it is pretty neat. Very stable, no issues, performance among the best I have seen.

This M.2 is super fast it’s incredible - very easy to install and easy to use. Loaded windows from boot no problem and the read/speeds are awesome. Super close to Samsung’s but can’t beat the price!
Totally recommend!

While it’s not the BEST NVME around, it sure is the best budget NVME storage while at 500GB. Much faster than the previous sata SSD I’ve had on my old system even at 6gb/s, although it is said that NVME drives are much faster than sata drives so comparison wouldn’t be fair. It is a huge leap though from using my SSD since my previous board didn’t support M2 or NVME drives.
Overall a really good drive if you’re on a budget, no heatsink is necessary while mines sits at 41 to 45 celsius all the time, although if your board comes with a heatsink or you case doesn’t have a lot of air flow then maybe you should op for one.

I got this as a Windows 10 boot drive for a new Ryzen 7 home built computer. It's a perfect capacity for that use. It was easy to install since it was a new PC build. Simpley look out the mount screw on the motherboard, slipped the drive into place and then screwed it down. The motherboard recognized it upon post and Windows installed easily. It's lightning quick booting to desktop in less than 20 seconds.
One note though... the motherboard BIOS recognized the drive as a Sandisk drive so I'm sure Sandisk is making these for Western Digital.
I've always been a fan of WD hard drives and I'm happy to see th at they are venturing into the SSD world.

Got this for around 60 bucks. I've been building my pc all year and this thing makes everything wonderful. My pc now boots in under 10 seconds. If you're still on a HDD, it's time to upgrade :)
