Decent speed bought to replace an hard drive that died on me. Everything hooked up great! No troubles what so ever. Just what I needed because Tjeblast drive was a 250 and this gave me more room for programs. This will house my OS. Very Happy

So much better than the old type where you used a usb but not completely installed making it difficult to take out. If I wanted to, I can pop it out of my computer and take it to a friend’s house. And I got it for just over $100. Great deal for SSD

great product. rebuild older laptop with this drive. replaced old traditional disc drive. BOOM! windows 10 boot up in less than 10 seconds. awesome! super easy install. all necessary hardware included. would definitely buy again. great product.

I like WD Hard drives because of reliability. After installation, it made my 6 year old Lenovo computer work like new and performs quicker compared to the mechanical HD it use to have. I guess I don't need to buy another computer after all!

Perfect add-on for my desktop. I recently purchased a second one of these to add on some additional space for my computer. Both of them work perfectly, are fast, and are a great price. No issues. so far, highly recommend.

Works great in my new PC build. I use it as a second drive for all my games (I have a 500GB PCIe NVMe that I use for my OS). Haven't had any issues with it. Easy to just plug in and use.

I've always liked Western Digital drives - they are reliable and reasonably priced. This one is no exception. I bought it as a second HD on my Dell laptop. I can recommend this product.

I discussed the best way to update my 6 year old laptop. I had added Ram to the max allowed and was getting concerned about the slowing down of the computer. As you ca expect the advise was " better to replace it", this was expected. However one of the Geek Squad suggested replacing the HD as it wouldn't last much longer. The consensus, as there were several guys who joined in was to replace the HD with a SSD !! Makes, size and price was discussed ending with the purchase of the 1TB WD Blue SSD. Installation was quick along with the transfer of all my data and programs. To say I am happy with the new drive is an understatement. The Geek Squad at BestBuy Alamance crossing are exceptional.

Picked up this unit at an absolute steal and I cannot believe I waited this long to replace my HDD with this SSD from Western Digital, one of the most respected names in the industry. My desktop is now far more responsive than before and I love it! Caution, you will need to download the transfer software from WesterDigital which will do a decent enough job of copying your existing boot partitions to the SSD but it is limited in terms of partition manipulation and partition type conversions and you may need additional tools depending on your storage scenario needs (multiboot OS, MBR to GPT, etc).

I inherited a laptop from my daughter which was in excellent condition, but slowed down the hard drive. Replacing the hard drive with this SSD, vastly improved startup and overall performance of the laptop. It’s now better than new!

I've only had this solid state drive for 1 month, so I can't speak to it's longevity, but wow is my computer fast now! I didn't realize the difference a solid state drive could make. I will never buy a computer with a hard drive again.

Picked this up in store same day as purchase. The WD was put into my PS4 pro. Getting the Samsung or Crucial models won't make any difference and is a waste of money for a ps4 application. Can't beat this for the price.

these drives are very good for older pcs. they help speed up.

Just the upgrade my daughters laptop needed. Already maxed out the ram, and installed a top of the line gaming WiFi card. Was missing the most important part though. 5400rpm hdd? Nope! Not gonna cut it anymore. This SSD is just screaming fast! Not just with startup loading either. Definitely worth the price, which also happens to be very reasonable for what you get in performance. Games my daughter couldn't play before now run flawlessly. She is super happy, and I can now put off a new gaming laptop purchase for at least another year! Totally worth considering as an inexpensive upgrade to keep an older computer relevant a little longer.... Was a bit leery about using SSD as main drive for everything, but was easy to install Win 10 and Office Pro and is lightening fast. Boot time with anti virus software is 12 seconds. Very happy so far

WD has always been a great name in storage and the SSD drive is no exception. The price was great and the drive is fast. The recommended imaging software, Acronis True Image would not work for me. I tried for three days and it continually errored. Luckily Macrium Reflect Free works flawlessly and provides more status screens than Acronis. Otherwise the hardware is great.

This isn’t the fastest SSD on the market but it’s a good value. If you’re looking for a decent amount of fast storage on a budget, this drive fits the bill.

2012 laptop was crawling to startup or complete most tasks. Not sure if the old drive was starting to fail or if the modern windows environment was just too much to handle. I was also worried the old motherboard would prevent the SSD from making an impact, but the performance increase was significant. It seems like I can squeeze a few more years out of the old machine! No instructions included, but I found free tools online to backup the old drive (I used a third, external drive to do it) and setup the new one, as a bootable SSD.

I wanted to increase the capacity of my 7200 rpm 512gb drive. This was a great option at a reasonable price. Upon first boot after imaging, you can see how fast this drive flies!! Going on a month now and still happy with my purchase.
