Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Blue 4TB PC Internal Hard Drive's large storage capacity, reliability, and ease of installation. Many appreciate its affordable price and quiet operation. A small number of customers noted the lack of an included SATA cable and expressed some concerns about the warranty length. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and value outweighs these minor drawbacks.

Usually Getting around to buying hard drives is quite the unreaosnable gamble as its been inconsitent with the model numbers. Fortunately I got exactly what I was after: a 4TB CMR hard drive that ends with “EZAX”. As for the general review, its a simple plug-n-play setup for devices that can hold 3.5” hard drives. Included in the box are 4 mounting screws, as wall as general product documantion and warranty information.

this is my 2nd blue WD purchased ,, since bestbuy put them on sale again ,, i wonder if these hdd are will be phased out in favor of ssd is the reason .. so getting some extra on sale seems logical to me .. also,, i been using the free acronis backup software making backups .. finally without having to buy it .. i used acronis to create a backups on the 1st blue ..and then created a bootable clone on the 2nd blue .. i also worked on creating a bootable clone on a usb WD passport drive too but not tested a boot with it yet .. however when the blue booted ,,, it took about 4 to 5 minutes where the motherboard ssd boots takes just a minute .. another thing which i liked was the boot ssd was 2TB and had 2 partitions of 1TB ,, and when the blue 4TB bootable was created ,, the acronis created 2 partitions of 2TB each .. .which make me even more happier .. my eventual plan is to use the bootable blue to now make a bootable 4TB ssd ,, and keep the 2TB ssd and boot blue as backup out of the desktop ..

    Great For Nvidia Shadowplay Recording

I wanted a separate drive (with lots of space) for directly recording and storing Nvidia shareplay game clips/highlights. I originally wanted the WD red version but it wasn't in stock. I settled for this and it has been perfect so far for my use case. It has no problem continuously recording a 10 minute loop of 1080p 60FPS gameplay footage at a 50k bitrate. And both of my 1TB SSD's are no longer almost full (which I learned is bad and slows them down) Don't forget to download the WD Dashboard app. It's not required but it's still pretty cool to have.

This drive is listed as a WDBH2D0040HNC-NRSN, but it's actually a WD40EZRZ. I believe the WDBH2D0040HNC-NRSN is an earlier model. This listing is a lower price than the listed WDBH2D0040HNC-NRSN, so that's a good thing. This is a 5400 RPM CMR drive. It is about twice as fast as the "green" WD20EADS 2TB it replaced. That drive hasn't failed, not bad for a 10 year old and well used hard drive.

I paid $90. I have had good luck with WD hard drives for very many years. They have provided me with dependable service. I replaced a WD 4TB that had over 63,000 power-on hours. I use the drive for the storage of videos and music. It runs cool and I am happy.

I have so many of these WD drives. They always come in handle for backups or installing in my pcs. You can never have enough storage space. I convert all my Blurays and Dvds to computer files, so these hard drives are very necessary for backups and extra storage space. Sorry you are not able to see the drive, but I already had it install before this comment. I recommend these drives though. Been using them over 15 years.

I use this Hard drive is a NAS setup and so far I have no complaints other than it’s a 5.4K instead of a 7.2kRPM drive but that isn’t a terrible thing the life on this baby will be long! The speeds of transfer are really good especially if you combine multiple drives into a raid 0 and you’ll have no issues whatsoever besides no redundancy

Getting both read and write speed above 200 MB/s which is in ideal situvation where disk is completly empty. But still i beleive it will manage 180 MB/s when its half or almost full.Dint hear and sound or noise yet although my usage is very less to keep only some files .

Used this to transfer data, mostly raw footage and renders from smaller drives. Only 5400 rpm so without a dedicated cache I wouldn’t plan on using it for much more than raw data storage.
