The 2TB drive that I have got is "made in Malaysia" Please note that the actual drive does not look the same of what is shown in the picture. Posted pictures for your reference. However, the same is also mentioned on the box that it may not look as it is shown. Also note that if your laptop does not have a screw to install it, then you need to buy it separately. It has nothing to do with the drive but some laptop's provide additional screw for SSD installation and some do not. So far did not find an issue, will post it I find one. The manufacturer provided "acronis true image 2021" software is available for download. I have posted a YouTube video on the installation procedure. ( 1TB HDD to 2TB WD SSD drive) Bought this for three main reasons: Good price, reasonable speed, and 5 years warranty.

Bought the 2TB version as a secondary drive. Not sure why Best Buy lists max read speed at 2400 as the box which comes with it states 2600 Mb/s and performs as such. Does get hot fast without a heatsink but works never-the-less. Comes with a 5yr warranty. Do not buy at price over $225.

You cant go wrong with an ssd. Western Digital is my go to brand with storage of any sorts now. I haven’t had any issues with their products VS seagate and other competitors.

Bought this as a secondary drive for my new gaming PC. Not as fast as my boot drive, the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB, but still very fast with read and write speeds, and more importantly, the much larger storage space compared to my 1TB, whilst still being very reliable thus far. Overall, excellent purchase.

Needed more space for games on my gaming machine and this NVMe gets the job done. Fast game loading times and doesn't get hot under load. In fact, it runs cool even under load. Western Digital (Sandisk SSD) is a very reliable brand.

A+. Works great. Speeds are great given the price. Theres minimal difference in noticeable performance between this and the Samsung SSDs. Good for a budget build

Great value and affordable SSD. I really like WD's product, it helps me upgraded my laptop and have more capacity 2TB. Very fast and great performance compared to some other brands.

I bought this a little under a year ago, and had Geek Squad install it. I needed more space in my laptop, and this did the job without any hitches. I did not move my operating system from my hard drive to the SSD, so I cannot comment about that. I have not noticed any major speed differences between this SSD and the hard drive that came with my laptop (such as when running games), although copying files seems less likely to stall Windows 10 file explorer.

Western Digital quality. Went with the 2TB capacity due to it being on sale. I trust Western Digital vs off brands.
